Clean bedroom but the flat bottom sheet was not big enough for the bed and moved around a lot. Aircon was difficult to use and very loud.
Dominica on Reception was kind and helpful. Giovanni provided a wonderful, smiling taxi service and the best cappuccino! The breakfast was somewhat disappointing. The hotel was very isolated and as it was on a main road with no pavements, you could not walk anywhere safely.

This was a good, 4-star yet affordable resort-style hotel. The rooms were fine, minor plumbing problems were promptly fixed. Our only issues were the pool hours (closed for siesta in the afternoon, and early in the evening) and the hotel restaurant was kind of expensive, so we mostly walked to a good local restaurant that was more reasonably priced.
The included buffet breakfast at the hotel was excellent, I must say, and the staff were very helpful and attentive, even bringing an urn of fresh coffee & fixings to our table once they realized we drank a lot of coffee in the morning.

The staff was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us. Giovanni, the manager , served us and suggested entrees. While the menu is not extensive the daily specials are fresh. The room was spacious and the facilities are well kept. We would definitely stay here again if in the area

The owner, Luciano and his crew are, very concerned and helps with anything! I never met, in hotel business, people dedicated to the guest like them! On my scale- 100%+! I was disappointed from the moment I arrived. We only spent one night there and arrived fairly late (after 10 PM). We received our room card and were shown the breakfast time but nothing else. We had no wifi information and did not feel welcomed. When we arrived in the room, it was extremely hot and filled with mosquitoes. Understanding the fact that we were close to Mount Vesuvius, we decided to turn on the air and hope for the best. But we started noticing that the room just look dirty. There were spiderwebs on the ceiling, the sheets were ripped and there was a lot of dirt behind the curtains. The curtains were also stained. You will notice on the pictures uploaded. We only had a few hours before catching our return flight to the states so we decided to push through the night. The AC never seem to kick in, very disappointing. Then we turned on the shower, it was supposed to be a rain shower but we turned it on and a stream of water poured out of the shower right over the glass, so I guess it was broken. We ended up showering with the handheld instead. The one thing I want to highlight is the amazing customer service from an older gentleman in the breakfast area. We did not have breakfast, but ran in there to grab some coffee before heading out and he was the only person in the hotel to welcome us with a smile. He kept offering his service and asking us to eat something. He even waved us goodbye as we left.

It was a quiet time of year so I am nit picking. The staff were extremely friendly, spoke English and were very helpful indeed. The room was comfortable and clean, so my very minor niggles were:- there was nowhere to sit other than the dressing table stool or the bed, ( outside on the balcony would have been possible had it been warmer - but it was February) there was no decaf coffee, there was no food available in the hotel in the evenings ( possibly because it was a quiet time of year) and there was a bar but not really a bar area as such. Parking directly outside is limited though there is a large carpark adjacent so not really a problem. There are no really local restaurants other than a pizzeria about half a mile away. All that said it was a great place to stay, good value with amazing views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. I'm sure the pool is great in the summer and as I say the people were very friendly indeed. If you decide to hire a car in this area though be prepared for the utterly chaotic way the Italians drive - it is survival of the fittest and bravest - hesitate and you are lost. Roads nearby are often narrow, parking and stopping is random, be prepared to be tooted for no reason and watch out for the suicidal pedestrians and swarm of mopeds that come from all directions, often on your side of the road. I loved the area though, Pompeii is spectacular Vesuvius is worth the walk, Herculaneum is small but well preserved and the Amalfi coast is precipitous-enjoy

My wife and I stayed here 7 nights.Upon arriving we were greeted by the receptionist and given the key to the room Verde. The room is spacious with a spacious closet, there is a desk that has side drawers great for storing smaller clothing. The bathroom is a good size with a tub, the shower works well with plenty of hot water. The sink area has plenty room for what you need. There is a balcony that overlooks the Bay of Naples on one side and Mt Vesuvius on the other. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. There's a restaurant on site which was convenient for nights we didn't feel like going out. Breakfast was very good and the gentleman that staffed the area went up and beyond to make you feel at home. If I was to return to the area this would be my choice of hotel.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was lovely and the staff were the best. Could not fault them throughout the stay. They were friendly and extremely helpful constantly ferrying us back and fore to the train station!! Highly recommended. Special shout out to Dario (my personal favourite) Antonio and Giovanni. Firstly, the staff, on reception, the cleaners, the waiter, were excellent the hotel was extremely clean and tidy. We had a meal at the hotel one night and the waiter again was excellent, as were the reception staff who were extremely helpful. What let the hotel down were the facilities we had ongoing problems with the air conditioning. The bathroom was tired looking and the genera decor of the room was poor and I felt unworthy of the four star grade. This hotel could receive better reviews if the facilities matched the excellent service of the staff.

The breakfast buffet was incredible and with a view of Mt. Vesuvius. We had an evening cocktail out back over looking the pool, too late to see Vesuvius, but the drink was very tasty.

Disappointed in room and food but nice people.
First off the people and view was great but everything else was a failure. We had people partying and singing outside of our room after midnight on the first night. We complained and they just said it was a party. The building is old and the walls and floor are paper thin. The food is just okay. We had the hotel set up a tour for us in Pompeii & it was a failure from the start. We ended up having to cancel and just walked Pompeii on our own. Then they tried to charge us for room service because WE took our food to our room. I would not recommend this place.

This boutique hotel is a dive into luxury with the intimacy you rarely find in a hotel setting. Close to Pompeii, a view of Capri across the water, and a slightly rural village around you. You sit high up and have amazing views from your room windows and also from the glass walled dining room. Loved lounging at the pool which is quite elegant in design.

This was a very nice property with a great view of Mount Vesuvius and truly caring staff. The hotel is well kept up and the pool was definitely a true bonus . The remote location does present a small problem if you did not arrive with your own car. The nearest train stop is over a mile away, and it is very steep to get there.

We were only there one night because we had an early flight out of Naples, and wanted to stay closer to the airport without being in Naples proper. The property is gorgeous. We didn't realize that you really can't walk in the area (no sidewalks, walls on the side of the road meaning you have to walk on the road proper). The day we were there they were hosting both a wedding and a kids birthday party, so there was limited staff to assist us. Others have talked about a pool bar; it was not open, so no cocktails around the pool. Eventually we got a waiter from the restaurant to provide us with some Prosecco. We ended up eating both lunch and dinner there, with the same menu. We had two people with fish allergies, and another two with nut allergies (not intolerances, anaphylactic shock types of allergies). There were limited items on the menu for them, and at dinner they actually brought us a platter of meats and fishes on the same platter, so people couldn't eat it. Again, I temper all of this with the fact that we were there for less than 24 hours, so we weren't (nor should we have been) a priority, but we did regret that this was our last night in Italy.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, breakfast and evening meals were of a high standard. Very little around the hotel without a 25 minute walk to the local train station although they offer a shuttle service if required. Would definitely consider staying there again as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the busy areas yet close enough to get to any of the sights without too much trouble. Staff were able to arrange trips to all the major sights. Had a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning venue, cannot recommend it more! The staff are welcoming and could not be more helpful or caring. Breakfast came with a wide range of choices and we also ate in the restaurant in the evening. It truly is as wonderful as the photos, great pool, clean and comfortable rooms and the fragrance of the planting, especially at night was glorious. Although a little off the beaten track, a shuttle to and from the local tram station made it easy to reach places like Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. Watch out for very expensive taxis especially from the airport to the hotel - plan to travel by tram or bus! Local taxis (organised by the hotel) were better value but only take cash. Hope to go back in the future.

Beautiful setting with vesuvius on one side, sea on the other with capri. Lots of lemon bushes in flower in April and other beautiful plants. Pool not heated but we still used it lots. Staff very helpful and printed out boarding pass, guidance on where to park etc

The staff is very friendly and let us park and leave our car to avoid the traffic around Pompeii region, the area is very quiet, and the restaurant downstairs is very good! The included breakfast was good, and the views overlooking Vesuvius and the bay are beautiful! The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable, would definitely stay again!

First of all, I commend Dominica and Antonio for their exemplary service and helping welcome us in the property. The hotel is near Pompeii and Herculaneum, two important archeological sites. The seafood dinner was great. The hotel has a great view of Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples.
The reason that my rating is not a perfect 10 was that when I was paying for my hotel bill on the last day, the credit card machine did not work as it did not connect to the network and this is bad for a 4-star hotel whose guests pays by credit card. Nothing was wrong with my credit card, but the hotel staff said their machine could not connect to the network. They suggested I pay via PayPal. I did, but PayPal charged me a very bad exchange rate. My credit card uses the most current exchange rate and that day it was around $1.05 US dollar to 1 Euro, but Paypal's exchange rate was $1.10 US to 1 Euro. I ended up paying $20 more, and that $20 went to Paypal. I was penalized $20 since the hotel's credit card machine did not work. My advice to the hotel owners - get 2 or 3 machines and make sure it works. I would never use Paypal again to pay for a foreign hotel, because they make big money off the exchange rate. I lost $20, because of this. Not happy about this aspect. This is a logistics aspect that the hotel can solve, and I advice they get a better system. This is the first hotel whose credit card system does not work, and this is a 4-Star hotel. Please correct this logistics problem.

When the balcony of your panoramic room/floor has views on one side to Vesuvius and the coast down to Sorrento, overlooking Capri on the other, you know you’ve chosen a great hotel. The hotel is beautiful and in a lovely spot. The staff were so helpful and friendly, from giving advice to shuttling us down to the train station, nothing was too much trouble.

The property overall was very nice, it also looked like a very nice property to host a wedding. Our room in general was very good, the only thing I would say, is that the bathroom needs to be re-grouted and recaulked other than that my wife and I had a nice time. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They also offer a shuttle service if you want to go to one of the docks to take a ferry to the isle of Capri.

The staff at this hotel is simply amazing! The property is above the traffic of Naples in a lovely setting. Beautiful pool and accommodations. So wonderful to come back to after a busy day at Herculaneum and Villa Adriana.

Mostly good but one big bad.
Five nights.. clean, spacious rooms and friendly and accommodating staff. However, one big problem: this hotel has a ‘banquet’ room where 4 out of the five nights we were there, parties were going on with loud booming music, loud fue and sometimes children playing and shouting in the parking lot and around the hotel. Sleep was impossible during this time.

The property is located on a hilltop where you can enjoy a fabulous view of Vesuvius. The room was spacious, clea, air conditioned and well kept. There is a swimming pool which we didn't use as the purpose of our trip was to walk to the rim of the crater and visit Pompeii. I highly recommend this hotel to those visiting archeological sites in the area. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty especially fritto misto!

The team are wonderful, always going above and beyond anything we needed. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Very pretty swimming pool. We felt safe despite travelling during covid. The location is near pompay and Vesuvius. Every morning we woke up to a gorgeous view of the dormant volcano. Would highly recommend the hotel. We thoroughly enjoy our two week vacation. This place is 4 star quality. It’s set on a beautiful hillside over looking Capri to the south and Vessuvius to the east. The room was beautiful, but the shower and a hose in the bath leaked - a lot. During the night water started pouring from the ceiling. They were sort of - yeah it does that sometimes.
Oh and don’t do dinner there. I’ve eaten roadside pizza joints with more ambience. After wonderful food all over Italy, this was disappointing at best and overpriced. Breakfast was average when it could’ve been special as the patio was amazing.
I think they just have not been maintaining the
place.

We stayed at the Palazzo Rosenthal in early July and can completely recommend it. Naples and the Circumvesuviana have been hot and busy, but on the quiet slope above Leopardi we have found the hotel to be a peaceful escape, with a stunning view of the bay of Naples, Vesuvius, landscaped gardens with fruit trees, palms and old olive trees, a gentle breeze and a beautiful swimming pool. Staff have been kind, efficient and friendly, with a shuttle bus to the station (phone the hotel for a lift from Leopardi.) There’s a generous car park if driving, a roof terrace with views not to be missed and good exercise if you choose the walk to the station. The waiters were friendly and dignified, dinner was just what we needed, good choice of menu for a smaller boutique-style hotel, it’s not a resort hotel, but has just what we want and need, including a wrap around balcony with ridiculously beautiful views, excellent room and bathroom, some wildlife watching (birds etc). Fabulous value.

Lovely hotel, with great views, terrace and pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Food really nice, plenty of choice at breakfast. Bit of a hike to the station, particularly as it was so hot. The hotel transport to the station is only available at certain times. Staff should make guests aware of where to buy train tickets, as the station is often unmanned ( the newspaper stand on the Main Street, opposite the church) The pool was lovely to come back to after spending the day sightseeing.

If the weather was warm, this hotel would have been magical. The outdoor patio and pool look amazing. The restaurant is just ok-salmon was over cooked, but not bad. The staff was very friendly. If you stay here, expect to be stuck here unless you have a car.

The staff at the hotel couldn’t have been more helpful, this is out of season for them and the hotel only had 2-3 rooms occupied but they were attentive and always willing to assist. Early drop offs to the train station and late afternoon pick ups were excellent and always there when they said they would be. Do not expect various restaurants and bars in the local vicinity as this is an extremely quiet place but my son and I found this a fantastic base to visit Vesuvius, Pompeii etc and would recommend. A hire car would have been useful but local train network is easy to figure out. Thanks to Carmen and the team for a very pleasant stay
