Didn't have the one thing I asked for

I filtered the selection to rooms with bath tubs. I even put it in the remarks section before check in. I only found out that there's no bath tub upon entering the room. The room also reeked of bleach.
Bath shampoo at gel containers won't dispense properly. Shower will only work if full pressure.

When we had problems with our room such as broken safe, metal towel holder in bathroom fell, requests for more towels, the staff responded quickly. Although the hotel lobby smelled pleasant like a spa, the corridor outside our room and inside our room smelled like sewage.The brunch options were okay, had many options, but if you did not get there early you risk not having anything to eat because they do not refill anything.One of the main reasons my family chose to stay at this hotel to attend a wedding is because they were the only Hotel who would for a fee, arrange transportation from the airport.

The location is good and the room, bathroom, and hotel are quite spacious. Although clean, the facilities are not quite of a higher quality and the towels were threadbare and have seen better days. The cable box looked crudely installed to the tv monitor and I had initial trouble getting a connection as was the wifi. However, service was prompt and the problems (cable connection and wifi) were fixed.

Still one of the best hotels to stay in Tagaytay:
Why?
1. Along the main road but maintains a private and quiet setting
2. Spacious parking, a blessing since this area has hotels with limited spaces
3. Nice smelling, clean rooms
4. Good breakfast buffet with lots of options
5. Well-trained staff
6. Warm pool!
7. Access for PWD is available

Second time and will be back for the next. Book via Expedia, better value here. 😊

Staff were very helpful! I had problems with storing my expressed breastmilk in other local hotels the pas few months, but here they gladly stored it for me in their freezer, together with my ice packs! Bed was very comfy too! Even though we did

My family and I loved our stay at Hotel Monticello!

Starting from the very quick and friendly check-in procedure, we knew that we made the right choice by booking here.

The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Not too much that you can't decide what to eat; nor too little. The breakfast was absolutely satisfying

There is also ample parking on the premises.

All in all, my family set out to have a nice vacation and we ended up with a great one!

We will definitely be back.

It's a nice place to stay even though you won't have a good view of the Taal volcano but usually when I stay at hotels I'm usually exhausted from the day's activities and won't even bother to admire views from the outside. The room that I stayed in is a double bed non-smoking and the room is well kept the beds are quite comfortable.

The bathroom needs an improvement, its door is a sliding type with only rails at the top, you'll get the picture on how's the outcome of that. Shower is not user-friendly.

Overall the staff are attentive and friendly.

I gave it as a wedding gift to my brother. When I asked them about their stay, they say it was very comfortable, there was an endless supply of complimentary food, and facilities are well maintained. Another good thing is its proximity to the tourist spots (i.e., Sky Ranch) in Tagaytay. I also look forward to having my personal experience in Hotel Monticello as well. Will definitely book for my family in the coming holidays!

UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE

First time to stay at hotel montecillo but had an unpleasant stay! We arrived past 12 midnight in the hotel and went to our room almost 2am- my best friend booked for that night july 20 and charge double on her debit card to make the story short it doesnt fix right away until at this moment they asked a lot of documentation from my beatfriend! Another thing, we were unable to sleep throughout the night bec it so happened that oir room was in veranda and it so happened that they has a thypoon and the sliding door was so NOISY because of the wind and you can also hear the noise of the people of the next room inside your room— it was a very unpleasant stay that they have to moved us the ff day to another lower category room to avoid the noise of the sliding door!— Furthermore- they tried to upgrade us with veranda thank you for that but since its raining hard we have to move to a lower room that has no veranda to avoid noise..
Sorry for the review but i have to be honest ao next time tou can avoid that and one more last thing- i think the soap and the shampoo that you have in the dispenser is not good in one nice hotel— you should provide bottle instead. Just a suggestion—

Plenty of room for improvement

The stay was so-so. The room was spacious albeit a little old. Although there is an LED TV in the room, the cable channels were in SD (not HD) which is a shame considering that the room rate is expensive.The air-conditioning was weak and it took too long to cool the room. The mini freezer doesn't work. Not enough choices for room service. The breakfast buffet was great and the servers were very attentive.

People are nice. Decor basic, cold, furniture is cheap. In room, paint peeling, closet doors and cabinets all dark brown, all edges dinged and discolored. Lighting in room poor.

I paid for my GF and her son to stay their on Christmas day and the next day...check in was weak, supposedly a beverage on check in, but needed a voucher...so no drink while they were waiting. When they checked in server was gone. Next morning buffet until 10 am was wiped out by 9 when they came down...just toast and they even had to hunt for coffee and cream at 9am...pool was nice, no one was around, they had it to themselves. They won't go back and I can't recommend to others....Maybe it was because it was Christmas, but that is no excuse.

Nice stay in the mountains

Beds were very comfortable and the deluxe room was spacious. Staff were friendly and delicious Balalo for breakfast. Room had its own air conditioner unit and wireless router, though don't expect great connections in the mountains of Philippines. Could have given better and more bathroom amenities and drawers could not be closed after opening.

Breakfast menu was likewise very good.The hotel is generally clean however when we got to our room the smell of food from previous occupant was left and some trash left unnoticed by the cleaner. Very attractive boutique. Very new and modern. Only dislikes are the soap/shampoo bulk dispensers in the shower instead of individual toiletries; and the toilet paper which is a big roll enclosed in a plastic case like at airports. It doesn't roll smoothly so the paper will snap and you will have to reach with your hand into the case to pull the paper out again. Otherwise nice room with good closet space, WiFi device with fast Internet. No real view (quite a distance from the lake) and outside of city center so you have to ride jeepneys or tricycles (no taxis around).

Value for Money, Great Location and Lovely Rooms

We had a great stay at Hotel Monticello. The hotel was easy to locate as it was along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway after Tagaytay Skyranch. The hotel staff were friendly, check-in was a breeze and the rooms given were big, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was limited but nice and filling. We also loved the heated pool and the spacious lobby and how it is very near the malls and restaurants. But most of all, we appreciate how they made sure our rooms are very near each other, because my sister and I were celebrating our birthday that weekend. They even gave us free cake each! Thank you, Hotel Monticello! We will surely be booking at your hotel again!

Lovely quiet hotel!

The room was very nice, with plenty of room for bags. Bed was large and comfy with a spacious bathroom. The outdoor pool is very big with seats both at a table and seats on the water (which is very relaxing). Feels very safe to swim at night, pool is heated well so it does not feel cold. And if it is cloudy/fog it gives a very adventurous feel! The breakfast buffet was nice and all staff members are polite and welcoming!
Definitely will return here, and recommend to everyone!

Hotel was good, clean and new, it doesnt look busy on the outside but was actually fully booked, i think because the guests were at the back enjoying the heated pool, didnt have the time to enjoy the pool though because we were busy for the wedding, will definitely book again to try out the heated pool. Downside were the breakfast and room wifi, i didnt enjoy the breakfast, with the wifi you can only connect 1 device, but overall it was a great stay.

The hotel was really clean and smelled good especially the way to the elevator.We got impressed with the size of the quadroom! Big enough for 4 guests! Buffet breakfast was good.One negative impression was the lack of receptionists.In our 3 day stay there,there were instances when there was only one person in the reception area attending to the calls and hotel guests that i had to wait to be accomodated.We enjoyed the clean and warm pool too..

New, spacious, cozy hotel in Tagaytay.

We arrived late /check in late. The staff were able to give us our key right away. The hotel was new and very spacious. Cozy place. The pool was amazing, it was not big but it was long the best part is it's warm. (We stayed in several hotels in Tagaytay but pools are so cold) The breakfast was good although they have limited menu but it was still worth it. Staffs were great.

Down side:
1.Room booked for 3 adults (toiletries, bathrobes, complimentary water/coffee, slippers) were only prepared for 2 guests.
2. Took 2 calls to get stuff (mentioned above for 3rd person) 1st call was 9PM when we arrived (since this is the first thing we check) and second call was 7AM when we really need the toiletries and bathrobes) = did not get complimentary water/coffee, slippers.

Water is important to us since we travel for 3hrs didn't have a chance to buy water.

Overall, we will still rate this hotel as Excellent!! :)

Would love to be back here

Spent a night here for a friend's wedding in tagaytay. The hotel is spacious and the hallways don't feel cramped. Room is nice. Some channels on cable are blurred though. Breakfast buffet is good but you need to be there before 9 AM. The water in the pool is warm and relaxing. Gym is nice too.

Great hotel to stay at while in Tagaytay

Great hotel, very clean and modern, love the décor and ambience. My room was spacious, comfortable, and service was excellent. Amenities you might need are available. Good selection from the breakfast buffet. Great hotel for the value. My family and I had a pleasurable experience. Not so nice view from the windows and balcony tho, no lake view. But if you are looking to unwind and have a relaxing place to stay after a long day trip or activity, this is very good place for it. Lake is a little drive. Overall I love this hotel.

There was just one incident when I requested for a bottled water when I have to call 3x and the staff said they will checked for me and callback. No callback after an hour so I called again. I was informed of the limit when it was already replenished. They could have informed me from the start so that I won't wait for nothing. If it's chargeable, I can pay. End the end, they delivered the bottled water for free.

Nice hotel at the middle of TAGAYTAY

Hotel Monticello is a small hotel at the middle of Tagaytay City. It's new and clean and decently decorated. The staff are all nice and polite and generally helpful. I haven't tried the free breakfast as I opted to sleep. The only feedback we have is, although we got a veranda room, there is nothing to see from the veranda. There is just the street along and an old demolished structure next to the hotel. The hotel maintenance should also check their lighting system. Although the hotel is just a year-old, lights like in our room were busted. One good thing about the hotel though is, there is good insulation, such that despite the cars/trucks and tricycles plying the street across, we didn't hear their noises inside our room.
