Shower wasn't cleaned, had rings from previous guests shampoo bottles and hair. Someone was checked into our room upon arrival. My credit card already charged!! Roof leaking everywhere during storm.... breakfast and staff were great. Would never stay there again.

The stay was a disappointment from the moment I walked in. The mattress was so uncomfortable it dipped toward the centre, and you could actually feel the springs pressing through. The carpets in the room were disgustingly dirty, and the entire space felt worn out and neglected. Everything about the property is desperate for a refresh—from the rooms to the common areas. Definitely not worth the price.

The staff were fantastic but this hotel is very outdated and very overpriced for what it is. The air conditioner in our room did not work at all and it was so hot, we could not sleep. Our room had new flooring but aside from that, the room and the rest of the hotel needs a serious update. The breakfast was ok...not a reflection of the staff, as they were fantastic but it was nothing special. Would not stay here again at that price.

I will start positive: The complimentary breakfast is quite good and the staff were very helpful.... but the owners of the property seem unwilling to spend any money on upkeep for this property that used to be the nicest place to stay in Medicine Hat. I see the automatic doors have finally been fixed to enter the building. I believe that took several months if not longer. Our $200 plus taxes room has furniture from the 80's and the carpet is shredded. The ice machines were gone so no way to get ice. I would assume they were out for repair but I wouldn't be surprised if rather than fix them the decision was made just not to have ice machines anymore. Very disappointing.

The property was easy to get too. I've been told there were renovated room but I believe I didn't have one because of the outdated colours and bathroom fixings. Overall was in still pretty good shape. Casino was extensive and clean. The pool is aging. No hot tub and the pool water room temperature. The water slides looked in decent shape. But for me it was too cold to want to be in. The food in the restaurants was good and the staff was awesome. I'd stay there again.

The hotel has a nice location near the Mall and an attached casino. Thewater slide and pool are a nice addition. The rooms need some updating and I understand a major renovation is beginning . The hot tub will be fixed and the pool area refreshed. The rooms are being redone which is great.

The food in the restaurant /lounge is quite good. The commentary breakfast was excellent lots of choice all fresh etc. Plus they have enough staff so you do not need to bus your own dishes.

In in all it is a good place to stay and will be so much better once the renovations are completed.

Room: dated / mattress had springs sticking out of side. Could have easily cut ourselves. Carpet on balcony SO stained & ripped. So many updates would make tge rooms / swim area more appealing.
Sad to see it has never seen much maintenace done to the hotel over the years.

Checkin staff were helpful. The room was large and clean. The watermark was noisy, but expected. The breakfast was scary, the hot food barely warm or room temperature, definitely not food safe! Even fresh pans brought out, potatoes not hot, and French toast was warm on the top and cold on the bottom. Check out was a breeze. They sent you automated texts, advertising, every morning at 8:00, make sure you ask them not to.

Staff unfamiliar with car charger and we couldnt get it to work. We hear there is new management so hope they can upgrade and get with the EV program.

AX had to be reset 2 xs in the night we finally left patio door open. The shower stall had its glass remove an d curtains up so steam room function couldnt work. Patio noise was so loud we asked to turn it down at 10 pm. Mirrors over reaar entrance are cracked and broken and secured by duct tape. The Lodge has really gone downhill

The beds are awful. Hear and feel the springs as you roll over awful. Each bed gets 2 small lumpy pillows so also awful. This hotel needs some serious revamp and renovations. Such a shame since it at point it was the nicest place to stay in Medicine Hat and has great bones and potential to be a great hotel.

Overall a great hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms and facility was clean, old, but clean. Breakfast was really good, lots of variety to choose from. My only complaint is the water in the pool is on the cooler side and would have liked to see it a bit warmer.

So the beds are lumpy and need to be replaced. The shower needs to be replaced as the tap doesn’t work properly and the sink had to pull the plug out as it wouldn’t drain. The only upside to this hotel is the casino gets a five star but the hotel gets 0 stars

The front counter people were excellent and the food in the restaurant and free breakfast were really good. The property is really showing it's age and finally our bed has ants in it that we had to brush off before we could sleep. We were way too tired after 12 hours on the road to ask for a new room as they were no biting sugar ants and just made you feel dirty.

The pool side rooms are very run down- peeling desk chair, stained arm chair, moulding tub. The water park is why we went. Boys had a fun time but yeesh - those slides look old and dirty. Breakfast was OK - not as in previous years when it was pretty great.

This is an old hotel which has not been maintained. Apparently it is under new ownership, but our room we very old and appeared in a lot of disrepair. The issue is that the water slide is great but very loud. We had a pool facing room and were kept awake until 10 pm as the pool was loud! The hotel is cheap but it fees like you get what you pay for. Great staff!

Had to wait an hour for our room to be cleaned,was there at 4.did get my room till 5:10. They gave us a 2 free pizza for the wait.The hot tub was not running,pool was pretty cold. Continental breakfast buffet had little to no food.most of the trays were empty.Went to gift shop wait for someone to come.no one came to run it,ask front seat.They say give them a few minutes,wait 20 minutes.I go back to the front desk,for them to tell me the gift shop is closed at 11 am? No happy with my stay at all

The room wasn’t renovated since the 1970’s. The beds were uncomfortable and the fridge froze a Caesar salad and water even though we turned the fridge down. We asked for a new room on a Thursday and were told the hotel was full. Will not stay there again. Also, don’t plan a room by the pool unless you have kids that get up at 8:30 AM or the screaming will wake you up.

We stayed here for 2 nights for gymnastics provincials and also my son’s birthday. Unfortunately the pool was so cold my kids could not enjoy it. And they’ll swim in anything. They were literally shaking and shivering after 5 minutes in the pool and turning purple: we had to go back and forth between the room in the bathtub and the pool. The water was cold but also the air in the pool room was freezing. The hottub is gone! Permanently closed. There is absolutely no reason the shallow kiddie pool could not be used as a warm pool. I’m very disappointed as we chose this hotel specifically for the waterslides and pool and couldn’t even enjoy them.

Water park is ICE COLD!! and theres NO HOT TUB at all on the premises for the kids to warm up in so they were begging to take pool breaks to go back to their room to warm up in a hot shower. The hallway to our room absolutely STUNK! We couldnt tell if it was something rotting or what it was but it was awful. Beds and pillows are all ancient and worn out. Will definitely never be returning

I was locked out of my room for several hours multiple times , unable to reenter the staying area after I was away briefly . Access cards were disabled and nonoperative
After finally getting access in the early hours , we slept briefly , when I woke I attempted to let my animal outside to urinate , with only a towel to cover myself as I was preparing my personal stuff and getting prepped to have a shower and get ready to to checkout but was again locked out of my room and unable to access through the entrance of the exterior door. Took 1h+ before eventually receiving assistance from an unknown individual who was at the back of the building by emergency exit door. He thankfully took initiative and went to the front desk inside and insisted to pet me in I was then bombarded by staff demanding to leave after booking a late check out. Without any understanding of the instances that occured

Filthy, they only cleaned our room once in 3 days because we caught the cleaning lady in the hall at 6pm and requested it be cleaned. Water slide are a huge hazard and left bick scrapes and rub burns on our kids back. One child had a rash from the kiddie pool. Managment then billed my credit card $850 without authorization claiming our kids contaminated thier pool with the soap in the showers. This was the was the worst hotel i have stayed at. Food was terrible and staff was extremely rude.

We arrived later in the evening (8pm), and it looked like the pool was shut down. They opened everything up for my grandkids which was greatly appreciated. They had a blast! I've stayed here a few times and enjoyed it every time. Breakfast is excellent!
