The location is great for our visit with family. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was unavailable, breakfast would only be served Thursday through Sunday ( we arrived Monday) and the tv would be compromised all due to ongoing renovations. We wished we had been told prior to arrival so we could have made a different lodging choice. No vouchers or refund was offered for the lack of amenities. We have always enjoyed staying here, and realize it is understandable that we would not be told about the construction, but really expected better service despite the unusual situation.

I was extremely disappointed as Expedia guest reviews had this marked as an 8.0/10. I would never again stay here. The place is extremely run down and the rooms have peeling wallpaper, air conditioning units that don’t function, torn furniture, weird smells, and are poorly cleaned. The hot tub was under construction. The hallway carpet and wallpaper on the first floor had a large area of water damage. The first room I was given had a chair with multiple large tears in the arm of the chair. The air conditioning unit did not work. One lamp in the room had a broken knob and didn’t work and the remainder of the lights were extremely dim. I found two small dead brown bugs (flea sized but had antennae) on the bathroom counter. I took this to the woman at the front desk who was incredibly kind and helpful and she offered me a new room. She assured me they were not bed bugs but was not sure what they were. She checked the new room to assure me there were no bed bugs. The new room had a bad odor, peeling wallpaper, food crumbs on the floor, a hair on the bath towel, and short curly hairs on the tray with the ice bucket and cups. It was the most uncomfortable night’s stay I’ve experienced at a hotel. The only saving grace of this place is its front staff. All the staff members I encountered at the front desk as well as at breakfast were incredibly kind and helpful. I greatly appreciate their hard work.

There was mildew on the shower tiles and grout. A lot of the grout was missing and tiles were coming off the wall. There were fruit flies all over the bathroom sink. There was black mold on a lamp shade. I visited another floor and the entire floor had an overwhelming smell of cat urine. There were bugs on the nightstand. I have pictures for proof. The staff was friendly.

Very old, dated hotel in desperate need of TLC

This hotel should have been renovated 20 years ago. There are only two to chose from in Chelsea. The other one had reviews that suggested bed bugs. That said, we selected this hotel. We didn't see any bugs in the room, but the whole place is incredibly ragged and run down. Wallpaper peeling from the bathroom wall, strong mildew smell, patched up holes in the hallways. It's rough.

That said, the hotel desk employee did tell us that in the next year, it's going to be renovated and will become a Hilton. So, there is that silver lining.

We book based on hot tubs for soaking after driving all day, so their pictures and ads are a lie and we were greatly disappointed. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices, another thing that’s important to us.

Oh the guy that checked us was jumpy and spraying himself with some stuff. I don’t know what . Saying stuff like it’s hot in here. I think he may been high or something .
anyway we did get checked in. I don’t know. The place is just outdated kind of run down a bit. I had to clean the AC filters cause they were so dirty. my towels, smelt stale and had stains on them. Yeah they just they need to clean it up maybe be updated a bit. I mean there is wear on the chairs in our room and on the bottom of the bed there mark long on the wall or something could have been a lot better.

Horrible Desk Clerk experience

The desk clerk was so rude! I arrived late in the evening, about 10pm, and the entire parking lot was full. At check in, I asked where I could park and the whole situation was horrible. The guy was awful saying that I was being mean to him and parking wasnt that hard, \"they had enough spaces for each room.\" When i asked him about alternatives since all the spaces were full, he said i was being mean and he cancelled my reservation. No other comments, just \"I've cancelled your reservatuon, you need to leave.\"

Dirty. Was looking forward to relaxing with my wife in the jetted tub room. Upon filling the jet tub a ring of filth formed at the water level. Needless to say we never entered. The entire room looked like it had a quick once over done to it. Filters in the AC/Heating unit I cleaned out myself. TV remote didn’t work other than channel down. Complimentary soaps were used and nasty. This was supposed to be an Anniversary getaway for a few nights. We checked out after the first night instead of staying the booked 2 nights. Very disappointed

Shower leaks water everywhere’s. Weird bugs all over floor in bathroom. Couldn’t get tv to come and work outdated tv for sure. Room was dirty looked like dried up vomit on bathroom trim. Linen didn’t look like it had been cleaned. Pool was closed by the time we got there and that was reason for us chossing this hotel. Not a good stay at all really should’ve just got a refund and went to a better hotel.

We needed a dog-friendly hotel in the Chelsea area. Comfort Inn was close to the freeway and places we were visiting. The staff were friendly and ready to pet our maybe overly-friendly dogs (they want all the petting they can get!). We will be back the next time we need a place to stay in Chelsea.

The main reason we stayed at THIS hotel was due to the advertisement of a hot tub. The hot tub is “blocked off” unsafe, clumps of hair around pool area and in elevator. The toilet in the room ran constantly, door key cards needed reactivated daily. The Heat bulb in bathroom and main lamp did not work. When asked if the ice machine worked on the 3rd floor we’re told “hell no, just the main floor” by a staff member. I cannot believe I wasted my money on this hotel. The only reason we stayed the full weekend was because I already wasted my money

Stay was good however a top reason for chosing this location was to use the pool. They had just topped off with water so for my 2 night stay I only went in once. Was just too cold. Bottom of the pool was also dirty. Advertised hot tub but it was not operable.
