The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including looking up bus schedules for us. Our room was much nicer than expected and the bed was very comfortable. Even the breakfast had a lot of good options. The hotel’s location was conveniently located too. Excellent value across the board. Highly recommend.

An okay hotel that needs a lot of TLC

The hotel is fine , it really needs a lot of TLC as others have said , but the main let down was the attitude of the guy on the check in desk - tutting and almost growling at us asking a few simple questions about the location - really started our stay off on the wrong foot .

Room was small and felt a little cramped but air conditioning was great as was the nice shower .

Very noisy at night time due to the adjacent restaurants kitchen outside the window crashing and banging pans and bins until around 1am .

Not much choice in this town so if you can’t find better it will be ok for a night if you’re passing through .

This hotel was convieniently located near all of the shopping, dining and walkable from the train station. Our room was large and newly remolded with a very modern bathroom. The included breakfast was full of wonderful options and fresh pastries. They have a laundry facility with a small charge that we took advantange of since it was in the middle of our trip. We discovered that Beaune is the Sister City to our town of Bend Oregon so that was just to see the plaque in the town center. Lots of great shopping near by and restaurant options.

Very comfortable hotel, great location

Beautifully refurbished historical hotel, right in the centre of Belluno. The rooms are spotless and spacious, and equipped with every comfort (including a kettle). Smart shower with LED changing lights and rain shower head. Extremely comfortable beds.
The only issue we had was with on-site parking, there seemed to be some confusion between the members of staff regarding parking reservation policy. Make sure you either book your parking spot, or park nearby in Piazza Piloni or at Parcheggio Lambioi (connected to the city centre via escalator).

The hotel was older but in good condition. We stayed on the top floor which had a small balcony which was nice. The bed was very comfortable as I typically like harder beds which are common in Europe. The location of the hotel was key as it was in the town center with walking distance to restaurants and parking. My only complaints were that the bathroom was incredibly small with no barrier for water when taking a shower. As a result the whole bathroom floor was wet after taking a shower. However I know this is common in older Italian hotels. The breakfast was decent but the breakfast meats were pretty gross, especially the prosciutto was very sub optimal. It would be better to not even offer the prosciutto it was that bad. Other than that the hotel was fine. If you are visiting Belluno to see the Dolomites for a couple days like us, then the hotel is a decent choice considering the low cost

Stayed for five days as a base from which to explore the Dolomites by motorcycle. The hotel was a perfect location for this and for the money was perfectly nice. For 7 euros they also provided a laundry service, turning around all our gear in 3 hours, which was super helpful!

An Ordinary, but Decent European hotel

Located at the foot of the beautiful Dolomites, this hotel sits at the heart of cobblestone streets and classic buildings. The multi-lingual staff (Italian, English, German) warmly greeted us and provided detailed instructions for hiking, dining, and our stay. The room itself was standard European fare: a bathroom with toilet and sink and a shower with no tub (yes, shower on the bathroom floor), twin beds, a bit firm; and a typical European-style breakfast. In the end, very typical hotel at a fair price, located just where we wanted.

I am just sorry we did not get the name of either the man in the evening or the woman in the morning who helped us, but they were terrific.

The Cappello is just about OK, but it greatly suffered from the fact that our room was very small and the bathroom was tiny with space for one person only at a time. Looking at the fire escape plan it looked like all the rooms on our floor were the same size. The bathroom was clearly never designed to accommodate a shower and so the shower was simply a curtained off corner of the bathroom and had no shower foot-tray which effectively made the whole bathroom a wet-room. It would be impossible to use the loo while the shower is in use.

Also do not even think about taking a car there because there's only parking for about 5-6 cars. Parking is so tight that the 3rd car would block in at least one other and the 5-6th car would need to be moved each time any car wanted to leave. I think that car owners had to leave the keys with reception so that they could shuffle the cars around to let people out. Unfortunately it's difficult to recommend the place.

Unpleasant experience.

The location was ok. The room we had was terrible. It was cramped. It was very overlooked by the balcony of the neighbouring house. The air conditioning was either full on or off. No temperature control. The bathroom was tiny and cramped. It smelled. It was almost impossible to use the toilet. We thought we would use the downstairs toilet but found the door didn't lock.The shower flooded. We asked for another room and were told they were fully booked. We later saw they were still advertising on the web but they said this was a twin room. We were not offered a twin room and were still charged the full rate. There was no apology. They advertise parking. There is room for at the most 5 cars but if you arrive first you will have difficulty getting out. They obviously have problems as there was a sheet on the desk showing the location of local car parks. We are not fussy and have often used French Formula 1 hotels. These are very basic but cheap. This hotel was very basic but not cheap. Disappointing.

Lovely place to stay

I spent four wonderful days/nights at this hotel in Belluno, Italy. I spent the days hiking in the area, and was grateful to have this comfortable hotel to return to each night. It was convenient walking distance from the train station and next door to a wonderful restaurant. The hourly bells from the nearby bell tower took some getting used to, but otherwise it was perfect.

Great small, friendly hotel in excellent location. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the bathroom was extremely small. Otherwise, our room, with a balcony was large and better than anticipated given the very reasonable price. You can walk to train station in 10 minutes. Staff helpful.

Lovely hotel in historic Belluno

The Hotel was very difficult to find despite printing off directions and map. Once found it was very good. It wasn't busy so we were able to park directly outside. in busier periods parking will be a problem. The staff were very helpful and there are good place to eat within 2 minutes walk even on a sunday evening. Breakfast coffee was excellent with a great buffet spread.

Beautiful room... we had a room in the new section of the hotel.... bed big and comfortable bathroom really dpacious with a fantastic shower... and two big windows which these days are rarely found in hotels... breakfast was very good too.. a very good selection of sweet and savoury options available.. overall it was a perfect stay... and the staff really friendly too.. i would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Personale cordiale e disponibile. Bella struttura storica ubicata nel cuore della città e a pochi passi dai mezzi pubblici di trasporto, con possibilità seppur limitata di parcheggio antistante l'ingresso dell'hotel. Hotel accogliente e tutto molto pulito. Camera con vista sulla città e le montagne circostanti, abbastanza spaziosa, con bollitore caffè/the, frigobar. Bagno nuovo con vasca idromassaggio e doccia con, purtroppo, la fastidiosa tenda di plastica. Colazione interamente self service (come preferisco) buona e variegata.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer zum Hinterhof. Das Fenster war in der nacht geöffnet. Vom Hinterhof kamen Geräusche wahrscheinlich von einer Kältemaschine, die störend für die Nachtruhe war.
Sonst super Lage direkt in der Altsatdt, alles fußläufig zu erreichen.

Das Haus, inmitten der Altstadt, nett! Lage, super!! Nur nicht optimal, wenn man Auto anreist. Frei parken nur 25 Minuten ausserhalb der Altstadt. Das Haus, wahrscheinlich weil so alt, kann man auf Komfort nicht umbauen. Zimmer sehr klein, eigentlich ein 2 Stern. Einrichtung aus 1970er Jahren. Das Bett eine Katastrophe! Matratze wohl 50 Jahre alt, steinhart. Der Rest des Bettes bei jeder kleinen Bewegung extrem laut krachend. Und ich bin in Italien, als Reisebüromitarbeiter(Mader Reisen Linz, Österreich), nicht kritisch. Fenster und winziger Balkon zum Hof, wo Pizzeria ist. Nachts dadurch sehr lange, sehr laut.
Badezimmer war ok.
Frühstück extrem bescheiden, 2 Stern. 2 Brötchen Sorten, 3 Wurstsorten, Corn Flakes, Marmelade. Einfach eben.
Personal war höflich, und so freundlich sie eben sein müssen, nicht mehr. Aber ok.
Sauber war alles.
Belluno ist tolle Stadt in den Dolomiten, eine Reise wert, aber ich würde eine andere Unterkunft wahlen. Sehr unangenehme Schlafsituation.

Ho pernottato una sola notte, in esperienza da non rifare assolutamente, c’erano cartelli “corrente elettrica” attaccati al termosifone con fili che uscivano di fuori, una lampada non era funzionante, le camere non sono assolutamente come nelle foto, mettono le foto delle camere suite solo per attirare l’attenzione. La colazione era scarsa e non internazionale, la notte faceva caldissimo ho provato ad accendere il condizionatore e faceva rumore come se ci fossero dei lavori in corso fuori dalla tua finestra, il bagno era super piccolo.

La accoglienza deludente, le reception dome posso essere più gentile almeno un sorriso dopo quattro giorni la faccia era sempre arrabbiate invece il uomini erano più adatto al servizio.
Dovette dire che il parcheggio e piccolo e no ci sono tanti posti, dite che offrite un servizio quando no c’è. La colazione era buona.
Bagno piccola stretto il bidé era a distanza di 5 centimetri difronte al water doccia e lavandino attaccato insomma un bagno di 1,5 mt. Per una camera di quattro persone per essere uno hotel a 3 stelle e deludente
