This place was absolutely adorable. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I will mention is the front desk agent there when we arrived should learn some manners. The morning staff made up for his curt demeanor and we enjoyed our stay overall.

The staff was outstanding. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Kasper, behind the front desk went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was personable and charming. The chef, and I’m sorry, I didn’t catch his name, came out to our table to check on us and see what we thought of the food which, by the way, was delicious!

Charming property and Friendly Staff!

Wonderful hotel in a charming seaside town. Super close to walking trail and harbor. Sophia at the front desk was amazing. Helped me figure out our laundry situation.
They have a cool cold plunge, infrared sauna and hot tub.
Shared kitchen and complimentary coffee and tea 24/7.
Loved it here!

We stayed for one night in a junior suite. It was clean, spacious and well decorated. Bathroom was modern and clean. Bed was super comfy. We arrived late and was greeted by a very friendly attendant, the lounge was nice and could get a drink. Breakfast was open nice and early. Food was delicious. The next time I’m on the east side of the island, I will be back!

10/10! Would definitely stay again! Nice lodge with lounge to relax in with coffee and tea, snacks on honor system. I had dinner and breakfast both were very exquisite. General store, and brewery are within walking distance. Keyless entry is nice for coming and going. Staff were very pleasant.

This was our secret find in Iceland! The design and the way they put things together is amazing. The room was unique and the bed great! Dining was amazing and all staff were so cool. We loved staying at this hotel. It’s in a small town surrounded by huge mountains. The room itself was modern, clean, and very comfortable. Definitely make sure to include breakfast as it is a buffet style with delicious waffles, breads, jams, coffee, yogurts, and fresh fruit. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay here! It is a very small town and not much to do but the staff was so lovely. We used the hot tub, cold plunge, and the sauna. We borrowed some robes which made the whole experience really nice. The staff lit a large candle for us and brought out water. We even saw a massive show of the northern lights right over the hotel two times! The bedding wasn’t the most comfortable but the room was lovely, lots of space, and had a smart TV to watch Netflix. I would stay here again and highly recommend. Also free coffee and tea which was perfect!

We would highly recommend staying here. Our host was friendly, courteous and made us feel very welcome. Our room was exactly as described and was clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant on site that we dined at for dinner. The food was delicious and well priced. There is a lounge area where you can use if you want to be out of your room. Free parking is available at the front of the hotel.

Rooms were nice; beds comfortable. Shower was nice size; good pressure. They offered breakfast with your stay. They had a nice lounge area with a fireplace which they were kind enough to light for us. Offered coffee/tea all the time; and even an honor bar for snacks if you wanted them.

This is the very first time I’ve stayed at a “self-service” hotel. There is literally no one on the property that I could tell. That said, i was so very pleasantly surprised (after the initial shock of checking myself in).

The property was really lovely, clean, excellently appointed. If this is how all of the “self-service” hotels are, I’m a fan. It was little concerning not having staff on hand in case of a problem, however we had no problems and got into our very nice room and had an excellent night’s sleep. I would totally stay here again!

Love this hotel! The lounge is furnished with the antique furniture. lots of original art pieces. The whole style is a perfect combination of old and new. The staffs were nice and helpful, the breakfast had lots of fresh fruits. Clean and comfortable.Totally worthy.

This had a lodge feel. Sauna was a must. Cute little town with a small general store and pub. Hotel had restaurant and area to get drinks. Fabulous free coffee/hot choc machine. Nice library/lounge area with fireplace. This place is A MUST esp if doing entire ring road. Great place to stop.

Property was clean, well equipped and had a great aesthetic. Two of us stayed in a standard room and it was quite large, fitting a double bed, couch, and two chairs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock.

The staff was able to accommodate our late arrival despite the lobby closing at 10:00 PM / 22:00. Breakfast was indicated to have been available until 10:00 AM but was closed by 9:30 AM, likely due to a low guest count at the hotel.

Hotel is older. Our room was fine but smelled badly of damp. Closing bathroom door improved room air, but using the bathroom still unpleasant. Also, shower floor was sunken, and I almost fell in several times as bathroom is small. Plus, bathroom door is raised, so...it's a bit of a mess. This was the least expensive room of our 14-day trip, so the savings was appreciated. What made up for it all was the breakfast. Lots of choice and tasty to boot!

Small and older hotel. Very basic, but it was clean and comfortable. We had 3 people traveling, so we ended up with 3 single beds. The electrical outlets had USB ports, which was helpful for charging electronics. Walking distance to a nice general store and coffee shop. Great views of the water and mountains.

The hotel room is fairly basic but a good value for Iceland. The room was clean, functional but nothing fancy. Watch out for the raised step into the bathroom since it can be a killer at night. The highlight of our stay was dinner at the hotel! Great meal at an affordable price for Iceland. I had lamb chops and my wife had Shepard's Pie - both excellent. Complimentary breakfast was also a plus!

A Bit of a Hidden Gem

The room was clean and the hotel services great. The staff (not exclusively) was a little brusque which in fairness seems particularly cultural and Icelandic. The location was very peaceful. The community was very small but tranquil. Great stop after a long drive.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was tricky because it was a floor shower with no curtain, but we were able to keep most of the bathroom dry. The staff was very courteous and the free breakfast was great.
