The room was falling apart - plugs didn't work, baseboards were actively coming out, nails were sticking out of the floor/walls, all drywall screws in the ceiling were visibel and painted over, anything metal was rusting, the bathroom was molded and painted over, the floor was rotten and softer than the beds. I don't know where they got the front picture from, but it is a sleazy looking ground floor at checkin and a cheap motel around it.

Whatever deal you are getting, this stay is not worth it.

The sheets had not been changed in pull out couch. Food was left in the sheet on it. It appears that they have long term guests living in the back part of property who are loud. Also our suite was on the second floor next to the ashtray so if a person used it our room smelled of smoke for the rest of the day.

The beds are so uncomfortable. My husband and both could not sleep due to the springs.

Very close to Shenandoah National Park entrance and near everything in Front Royal. On site Thai restaurant was delicious, reasonably priced, good service and late hours just perfect after a long drive. We were so happy they were still open and could have a few drinks and walk to our rooms! Complimentary hot/cold breakfast also on site. Rooms were clean, spacious with comfy bed. Outdoor pool on site. Convenient place to stay. Very nice staff. Front Royal has a nice Main Street to explore, shops, restaurants and pubs. Folks in town are friendly and helpful.

Hotel management n staff exceptional kind. Their service exceeded expectations of a what hotel staff should exemplify, respectful, helpful, and attentive.
However freaking ever… the room was disgusting, blood on sheets, hair on pillows, floors sinking, tub and toilet decaying. The bathroom sink mirror look like it had a camera in it. Please look at my pictures not what advertised. If they took the funds and invested in the cleanliness and appropriate structure Instead of a fancy mirror that heated the room things would be sooooo much better. Plus the Room was funky… homeless people on bikes surrounding the room. Casing our room. Like they were waiting for us to leave to break in the room and steal our stuff. Me nor my husband felt safe. Our anniversary get away was ruined, we wouldn’t dare use that hepatitis infected spa tub. Hell no… we slept with our clothes on and protection in our hand. DONT STAY THERE. I repeat DONT STAY THERE!!

I was booked for two nights but due to unforeseen circumstances wouldn't be arriving until the morning of the second day
After a horrible 6-hour drive on arrival at the location was told my room was no longer available and that I would have to wait an hour before the manager arrived to come to any resolution so I sat in the parking lot exhausted when all I wanted to do was rest

I booked this room based on decent reviews and an ok price at a non-refundable rate. The penalty of moving trip dates out later was not much different than what I paid in total for 2 nights. You are pretty much stuck if you book here as non refundable.
The hotel houses construction workers and seemly monthly rentals for several families who live there. The place looks run down and is not clean in differing ways. There was hair in the bathtub drain upon inspection and the room did not smell fresh. I believe the hotel pictures and condition are misleading when booking. I would not recommend this hotel and be careful with non refundable rates.
I was only at the hotel for around 45 minutes total and did not stay. It did not feel right and I ended up staying with family. The booking was wasted money.

All of the staff was friendly and helpful, holding open doors as we brought our things in and out and just in general very pleasant. Breakfast food was always full and warm. We tried the Thai restaurant in the evening and this was excellent. If ever back in the area would stay here again!

Decent hotel in a cute town. Loved that it was easily walkable to downtown area. It was clean with comfy bed and the shower water pressure was great! Breakfast was included and fine, a nice bonus. Loved that they support hikers, and have a box of donated items in lobby that hikers may need/ use. Some of the rooms had cigarette smell but was able to get room moved easily. Horrible conditions from the corridor leading up to room itself. Paid extra for room with jetted tub which I wouldn’t even bathe my dog in. Toilet seat about to fall off and I’m sure housekeeping is aware if they’re cleaning it properly. Hair in the shower so needless to say we didn’t take one. Booked this property for what looked to have a decent outdoor pool only to find out it was already closed and covered for the Season. Also not just a motel/hotel seemed to have many people living there. Floor above us loud, running around and dog barking. We actually had a couple hours sleep and left @ 2 am to head home. We do a lot of traveling and have stayed in many motels/hotels and this is the 1st time I have ever left a negative review. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property and they will definitely be hearing from me.

Pros: Clean with a really nice front desk person, and just a few blocks from downtown restaurants etc.
Cons: it was very noisy along main streets and with the cars that got going early. Ragged entry mat, bare bed springs, and bare bones bathroom made it a bit depressing.

You Get What You Pay For

Housekeeping never came to our room. When we checked out we were told that they should have come after night 2, but after 5 nights we had no house keeping. The water pressure in the sink was horrible. The bed was better than we expected it to be.

Not so good, had to get different room on front side of hotel, pool wasn’t clean, first room smelled musty and could smell like someone was smoking weed, second room was somewhat a little better, but the door was hard to open and close, could hear people yelling outside of room, not a pleasant stay at all

It was the second worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Upon entering, the room had no electricity. Front desk clerk had to come up and turn it on. Fridge was filthy and smelled like rotting death. Walking on the floor made the soles of your feet black with dirt. Clumps of long dark hair in the corners. Toilet seat wasnt connected to the toilet itself and there was dried urine caked around the bolts where it would have attached. The sheets looked clean so i didn't dare investigate further.

Nothing like the pictures on Expedia. There is no rod to hang clothes in the makeshift closet. For the amount of money it is definitely not worth the money- really run down. Door is filthy. We can see outside from the door. I have a picture. Didn’t feel safe at all. Has a sign park at your risk. What kind of hotel has that kind of sign?

The bed was comfy and room somewhat updated but the halls were dirty with stinky trash bins outside the doors . The staff was very very nice . Just need to keep working on making this very inexpensive place better! Bathrooms clean and “re-done.” But they need to do some “detailing” of corners and update the hallways a bit .

Wow. This spot was a great value. I'm confident you won't find better value in Front Royal. The bathroom was wider than average, which was nice. The a/c was quiet and efficient. The mattresses must have been nearly new. They were firm. There was more than one chair. There's an attached restaurant. I was impressed.

Firstly, the photos of this property were gravely misleading as the facilities were run down and nothing like the expected amenities depicted. Furthermore, albeit all rooms allegedly being “non-smoking” our room on the second floor wreaked of cigarette smoke and with my travel companion having asthma was unacceptable; contacted Front Desk where we were assured that the room itself was cleaned prior to our arrival the bathroom toilet was found to have black hairs on the seat upon attempting first use by my wife who is a ginger. We out of pocket purchased a bottle of Febreeze and a scented candle to remedy the smoke smell problem. Additionally, regarding the continental breakfasts, there is an imposed $25 fee to bring food items back to the room.

Comfortable economic stay

We stayed here at the stars of our Skyline/Shenandoah vacation. While the outside appearance might make you think it is outdated, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The onsite restaurant serves Thai food and it is really good. The room rate includes a hot breakfast. The hotel location is centrally located close to the Shenandoah river and the northern entrance to the Skyline drive. We had an excellent 2 day stay!

Very 3rd world conditions here, no American standards of a hotel here, the food was good for breakfast, but that was it, the parking is far away from your room. The pool is a real scare, so dirty. The entire hotel needs a remodel and paint job, just so dirty and uncared for. Very third world conditions overall. Plus it was supposed to be queen beds, but they are only full, not queen. A lot of lies about this dirty place, the pictures are deceiving. They need to invest in this place better and raise the standards. We would not recommend this hotel as Americans.

Checked prices first, worried because the cost was lower for the area. Check in was fast and painless. Gave id requested a room on bottom floor due to having surgery next morning early. Staff ask if they could help me get in safety. Kindly rejected. Very quiet. Non smoking room? Smelled smoke passing several doors. Once in the room not so bad.

Doors are so sloppy dirty: both doors entrance and bathroom. I chose this cheaper hotel stay because I knew I was coming in late and checking out early. I’m writing this before I had breakfast, so cannot comment on that. I read reviews prior to booking which were not great but people recommended of stay is one night. I usually stay at Marriott and after this stay I’m more inclined to keep staying in Marriott!

you get what you pay for. In this instance, it’s not really a bad thing. It’s nothing luxurious. The property is run down and needs an update and some clean up in the parking lot. But, our room was a super reasonable price, clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. The staff was nice. There was a small exercise room and an outdoor pool (looked run down, but clean) The area is great. Very walkable and close to the downtown area- you can’t beat the location. We felt safe there. Overall, decent stay. We would stay there again if we’re in the area.

We were very excited to be near the historic downtown and forest. When we arrived our room was the farthest away from the area around back. The lock to go into the stairwells did not work. UNSAFE. The room next to our was padlocked shut. We tried to open our room and the green lights lit up but it was impossible to open the door. I told the staff about issue. I asked to move feeling unsafe and unable to get into the room. She said it was not possible. We waited 20 minutes back at the room for someone to come and unlock it and no one ever came. It was after 9pm and dark. I decided to drive 3 1/2 more hours to our final destination then to continue to stand there in the dark. Front desk took my key and said everything was "taken care of." The next day I called the manager to make sure we were not billed and she told me there was a ticket for maintenance to come and unlock our door?????? What? This was the next day. No one was EVER coming to let us in that night. And we were charged and currently trying to dispute it.

I booked a "pet friendly" room & at check in was told there was an additional fee which was not noted ANYWAY prior to check in on the website. And I looked! The floors in our room were filthy (had to wash our feet before getting into bed it was so bad). Had a power outage in the middle of the night (not weather related) & never even got a response from front desk as to when it would be back on. It got very warm in our room, but was afraid to go outside to get to main lobby to check in person.

Overall this place is ok for a 1 night stay. Our door was open upon arrival and then we could close it. The door had swelled due to the heat, and had to be slammed, excessively hard, in order to close it properly. Otherwise everything else was fine.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable-- top marks for him. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaints are that there were a few bugs in the bathroom-- who I rehomed outside-- the showerhead was poor (or maybe it was the water pressure) and I couldn't get the water above lukewarm one morning, and there was no shampoo in the holder. Overall, though, these are minor issues, and the stay was generally clean, comfortable, and lovely.

Overall, the room was clean and organized. The fridge also worked well. The ground floor location of my room was perfect. Was able to park right outside my room, which made my trips to and from the vehicle quite easy. The front desk staff was accessible, friendly, and very efficient. From a breakfast standpoint, they offered hot (both regular & decaf) coffee before 6:00AM, which for me was perfect, as I had breakfast plans out on both of the mornings I was there.

I love the location of this Baymont, as it is just across the street from the beautiful Front Royal Main Street Downtown district.

The value and $cost/night I received fit perfectly into my budget. Would recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely plan on staying here again when I visit the area.
