What a beautiful find. Great location and to top it the Christmas market was right on the doorstep. Although the Christmas market seemed never ending.

All staff super friendly, breakfast good quality and plentiful.

The decor is very elegant with a chilled atmosphere.

The bedroom was comfy and very clean with a good selection of complimentary drinks in the fridge.

We will definitely recommend and we will be back.

Der Checkin (und -out) lief reibungslos und sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer entsprach voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen und Ansprüchen: Sauber mit einem sehr bequemen Bett. Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal, um die Stadt zu erkunden; nur das Parken im öffentlichen Parkhaus ist hierdurch sehr teuer (33€/Tag), was aber vorher bekannt war.

Great location for walking around Düsseldorf, especially shopping. Less than a couple of hundred feet from the Ko-bogen shopping center, and a 3 minute stroll to Konigsallee high end stores. Room was fine, the included breakfast was awesome, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly!

Everything you would expect from a small city centre hotel was to be found. The initial welcome and subsequent customer service were excellent. We arrived well before the official check-in time but rooms were ready and we were given immediate access.
The room was spacious, well maintained, extremely clean and comfortable with a very limited free soft drink/beer minibar (it would have been nice to have a tea/coffe facility in the room as well) .
Breakfast choice and quality was very good.
WiFi in room was fast and worked well.
The location of the hotel was ideal -- it was an easy walk to the Altstadt, the river, the designer shopping area, and the underground rail system.
I would consider the Hotel Favor excellent value for money and would definitely consider staying here again if I were to return to Dusseldorf.

main criticisms that one should be aware of:
- no coffee machine / no kettle in the room
- no real double bed available even in the expensive room category
- no onsite parking and no parking arrangement in place with the surrounding garages (-> expensive and inconvenient)

5 min walk to shopping street, 10 min walk to Aldstad and 10 min walk to Japan town for authentic Japanese restaurants!

Hotel is basic 4 star, room is relatively big and toilet is clean. Breakfast is simple n basic variety.

Only downside is hotel wifi is slow

Very nice stay at a this hotel. 2 things they could improve... the front desk people have no authority to do much ( I had a credit card problem and needed to rescind the card I used and use another but the desk could not do it without the. Mgr, but he was nowhere to be found, AND This place is tricky to find. It’s on a large pedestrian square that, as a guest, you are allowed to drive on. This could be better communicated and the desk staff should be better trained to help a guest with directions to the car park. Not a good front seat.

Very Nice boutique style hotel downtown

Modern, well kept, spacious room (for European standard) clean hotel in shopping area of downtown. Staff were very curteous and helpful. This is a boutique hotel so very few services but lots of restaurants and amenities in the immediate area. Breakfast was first rate in both content and service. I would recommend to friends.

Lovely stay for the markets

We have fully enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very nice. We were on our honeymoon and as soon as we got there we were offered complimentary champagne to help celebrate our marriage which was very unexpected and a lovely touch.
Each morning the breakfast was good with a relaxing atmosphere. Jenny and here team did everything to ensure we were happy and comfortable and ensured dietary requests were catered for.
The staff at Hotel Favor are fantastic and very attentive. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. The young man behind reception was extremely helpful when making restaurant reservations, he called the restaurant and printed out the reservation for us to help with the language barrier when we got there. Carolin was superb when our airport transfer failed to turn up. She ensured we were picked up and got to the airport on time.
Unfortunately there were one or two things that we weren't happy with. The pillows in the room were uncomfortable and lumpy and we were under the impression that there was a gym at the hotel which there isn't. You could use the gym a short walk away but you had to pay for it during week days.
One of Dusseldorf's many Christmas markets is right outside the hotel which makes an incredible view! Unfortunately because if this, hotel transfers aren't able to drop off/pick up right outside the hotel which can be confusing when arranging transport!
There markets are also quite noisy but goes quiet by 11pm.

My wife and I tried to check in to the hotel in the afternoon and was told the room wasn't ready- that's after being ignored by a desk staff of four, one of which was helping a customer at the time. No hellos, no welcome, nothing. Was told to leave our luggage in the lobby and they would take care of it. Came back later in the afternoon and the luggage hadn't moved. A new staffer at the desk wasn't aware of our reservation which I made a month earlier. We took our luggage up to the room to find it was set up for one person. At that point, after a long day of travel we had it. I told the front desk we weren't staying at the hotel and made a reservation with another hotel. They told me I had to pay and they couldn't do anything about it. I asked for the manager and of course he was away for the day. They told me he would contact me the next day- which he didn't. Unfortunately, the hotel was being run by college kids at the time with little training in hotel management. For the price, it just isn't worth it.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of it all!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the designer shopping area. Easy walk to river and main tourist areas within minutes.
Breakfast was great, good range of hot and cold food. Man playing ciello as you are eating and as a wow factor they bring over a glass of sparking wine. Really nice touches.
Room was huge and overlooked the square so nice to see hustle and bustle. Could not hear any noise though so good combination.
Only 2 things to say a bad word about our trip...
2 single beds pushed together with single duvet covers on but as a double room was little strange but not in a cheap way, just the design I think.
All shops are closed on Sunday's...I mean all! Save sightseeing for Sunday if there for weekend or you will be in for a long day of restaurant hopping!

One night at Hotel Favor

We stayed only one night, to fly out of Dusseldorf the next morning. The hotel was comfortable although the room was a little small. The hotel is just outside the old town, so we were able to spend our last evening in Germany eating, drinking and sightseeing very near to our hotel. Also, the hotel was within easy walking distance of the S-Bahn to the airport. Included buffet breakfast was nice, nothing exceptional, and the free in-room WiFi was not too slow.

We wanted somewhere central. It's a small hotel, recently renovated and very pleasant. Rooms are quite a good size and well equipped with a good bathroom. WIFI was good. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Only drawback was that there was quite a lot of noise from the trams if you open your window at night.

Great weekend in Dusseldorf at the Hotel Favor

Really enjoyed our stay in Dusseldorf at the Hotel Favor. The location in great as the old town in is only a 10 minute walk and the main shopping area only 5 mins. We booked a superior double room and found the price very reasonable. The room was nice, modern and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. We had asked for a high floor and were given a room on the six (top) floor which was great as it had a balcony. Breakfast was included in the price and was good as there hot and cold items. A typical European buffet style breakfast served in smart modern surroundings. The reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful. When we arrived quite early our room wasn't ready so they looked after our luggage for us while we went for lunch and it was in our room when we cam back later. Before we left, they helped us check in for our flights, print boarding cards and arranged our taxi to the airport. Couldn't fault them or the hotel. Would definitely book again.

The hotel is located very well, few minutes walk to the old town of Dusseldorf. Rooms were nice and clean, mostly very comfortable. The only request I would have is to improve the heating in the room. We did stay towards the end of December, but we thought it could have been a little bit more warmer. By the way, great breakfast. Overall, great deal for the price we paid.

Lots of good things to say about this hotel:

location
room is nice and big, comfortable bed
breakfast was nice

but unfortunately some not so good things:

wifi broke and took 4 days to repair
no heated towel rail in bathroom. towels are small and thin and didn't dry, so had to always ask for new ones
no pay tv
breakfast room - tables are next to balcony where people are allowed to smoke. this means that the rest of us freeze every time they open the doors. it made breakfast very unpleasant.
no turn down service - they didn't even know what this is.

over all, it's a great location and comfortable. Just needs more attention to detail.

Velholdt og rent værelse. Meget centralt beliggende. Fjernbetjeningen til tv’et var i stykker, og vi fejlmeldte det - vi hørte aldrig fra receptionen igen. Havde forventet, at de kom med en der virker. Morgenmaden var ok, men egentlig hvad man kan forvente. Meget højt musik i restauranten, det er ikke rart om morgenen - men i følge de ansatte havde chefen dikteret, at der skal være højt musik.

Rooms were very hot and humid. AC did not work even that we changed room. Manager was not interested to get the problem fixed that day. We were told that they would try to fix the issue next day. So we ended up not sleeping well in a hotel that was supposed to be good. Not again to this hotel. No compensations even suggested by the hotel..

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral. Probleme gibt es beim parken und Koffer ausladen. Dieses ist während der normalen Geschäftszeiten nicht möglich.
Wir haben ein Zimmer zum Innenhof bekommen. Der Ausblick war schlimm. Überall Dreck und Klimaanlagen. Doch das Schlimmste war der Geräuschpegel. Ich habe das Servicepersonal sofort auf den Umstand aufmerksam gemacht aber das Hotel sei voll da müsste ich durch Nicht wirklich hilfreich und nett. Bei einem Hotel das mit Schallisolierung wirbt sollte man anderes erwarten können als bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht schlafen zu können.
Das Frühstück war ok. Leider war die Auswahl für ein 4 Sterne Hotel sehr eingeschränkt. Wenig Auswahl was allerdings auch an der kleinen Anzahl an Zimmern liegen mag.
Wir würden uns nicht noch einmal für dieses Hotel entscheiden.

Goede locatie op de kerstmarkt, dit voordeel heeft ook een nadeel want 's morgens rond kwart voor zeven begint het schoonmaken en uitladen en hier wordt je echt wel wakker van. Ook veel herrie 's nachts van uitgaanspubliek.

Ik had een extra bed op de kamer voor mijn 17 jarige zoon. Dit was echter een gammel opklapbed met een super dun matras. Continu zakte je door de lattenbodem heen en het sliep voor geen meter. En dat voor €60 extra per nacht!

Prima ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel.

Leider kann ich das Hotel keine 4 Sternen geben. Das zugewiesene Zimmer war schon belegt und beim betreten des Zimmers die Gäste überrascht. Das ergibt ein schlechtes Gefühl. Das neue Zimmer war klein und sehr warm. Die Bar war verlassen und die Wahl der Getränken (es gab nur Wasser, Cola oder Orangensaft). Das sind keine 4 Sternen wert.

Prima locatie en vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en heel lekker. Het uitzicht was minder, we zaten aan de achterkant en keken uit op een binnenplaats vol airco’s en bedrijven, waar je zelfs behandelingen van klanten kon zien. Wanneer je aan de voorkant zit, is het uitzicht beter. Op de kamer waren de beloofde badjassen niet aanwezig, maar die hadden we verder niet nodig. Wel extra luxe dat de drankjes in de minibar gratis waren. Al met al een fijn verblijf gehad en zeker een aanrader.

Silberfischchen im Bett!

Nach dem Aufschlagen der Bettdecke fand sich ein lebendes Silberfischchen. Der herbeigerufene Mitarbeiter fand das nicht sonderlich bemerkenswert und kommentierte mein Entsetzen mit “Das ist doch nur ein Silberfischchen, haben Sie noch nie ein Silberfischchen gesehen? Die tun nix, sie ernähren sich von Hautschuppen und Staub! Sie haben Zuhause bestimmt auch Silberfischchen.”
