Difficult to find if you arrive after dark. Room was tired but it was clean and the bed very comfortable. Thin walls. Adequate for one night stay before channel crossing.

Parking is behind the hotel but not secure parking. It was safe however.

Dogs allowed in the restaurant … so long as not too many already in there. Lots of takeaways and restaurants close to the hotel. Fab boulangerie opposite for coffee and pastries … and to take a loaf home!

Extra 10 euros for one dog and local taxes payable direct to the hotel.

On the morning of our departure I wasn’t feeling great and 2 hours later I was violently sick

Location is good for travellers, close to the A16. The back looks out over fields and is generally quiet. Parking is good. Our check in was easy.
The room was OK, but no more. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom functionally OK but quite small. We were only given a bath towel each, no hand towel. There was a musty smell and we opened the window.
We did not eat there as we wanted a light meal and a light breakfast.
Basically it was just a bed for the night, with nothing apart from the essentials.

A simple but classy hotel

This is a simple, efficient, friendly and well-run hotel. Also has an excellent restaurant for a hotel of this size.

In fact I literally just stayed at the Ibis Styles Châtelaillon-Plage which has a spa, a pool and is near the beach - a nice hotel too, but its restaurant really is pricey and mediocre. The Ibis Abbeville, supposedly a lower standard absolutely beats it hands down with regard to service and its restaurant.

Lovely hotel, well situated away from the main road. Found it very easily. Great service at reception, a nice room and lovely food in the restaurant. Nice breakfast and easy checkout.
Only negative is the room was a bit cold, but the time of year (January) and outside temperature probably didn't help. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Quiet location, modern and dog-friendly

Lovely, quiet Ibis with modern facilities. Surrounded by green fields with plenty of parking, great menu with a dog-friendly area in the restaurant. A couple of hours from Calais so maybe not the first choice for crossing purposes, but well worth factoring in the time for the two hour drive.

There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. They was no water machines to take into your room. Bed was very comfortable but the room was incredibly basic. Ground floor rooms were completely different and worth 3 stars but not the top floor. The food was amazing though

Top service and stopover hotel

This was used as a stop off on our way back to Eurotunnel. For a chain hotel completely met our requirements in terms of convenience and the friendly reception we received from Tristan and his colleague was first class - nothing was too much trouble. We took the half board option as we didn’t want to have to go out once we checked in and the dinner and breakfast options were perfect. My wife is a vegetarian and we often struggle in France but this was not a problem here. We also stayed with our dog which was very easy. Fully recommend.

Considering the price you get a decent sized, clean room, comfortable bed, spare pillow. The bathroom is one of those prefab drop-ins, but good sized shower, though indifferent water pressure. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, but not a problem in our case. Good number of electricity sockets, including bedside.
No tea/coffee making. Heating seems non-adjustable, but adequate.
Good basic menu at the restaurant, shuts 21h30.
Difficult to find at night: once you're inside the driveway, look up for the unilluminated sign, otherwise you'll end up with kidney dialysis.

Rooms Cold and Heating System Poor

While I absolutely understand the need to reduce energy wastage for both environmental and financial reasons the new heating system installed at this hotel is just not fit for purpose. The system is designed to switch off the room heating off when it it doesn't detect movement in the room (ie the room may be empty). This sounds a great idea but unfortunately when you arrive late and its bitterly cold outside the room is equally cold when you enter. Yes the heating comes and it warms slightly but, say you then go down to the restaurant for a meal...yep the heating goes off so once again you return to a cold room. Then you go you bed (to keep warm) and guess what the heater doesn't detect any movement so shuts off. Now I get the need to reduce global warming but there must be a better way to control heating than what is a pretty crude and simplistic motion sensor on a electric radiator under the desk. For the price of the room I do expect to be warm.

We chose this hotel for an overnight stop as it was a relatively short drive from Calais. It was easy to find with plenty of free parking. The room was clean and comfortable and a reasonable size. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The evening meal was excellent as was the buffet breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable stay in Abbeville

We really like the IBIS hotel chains, the room was comfortable, clean, good parking just outside. We like that the reception is part of the building, and not separate as in some other hotel chains. There is a big supermarket nearby, petrol station too, and plenty of restraurants for an evening meal within walking distance. You can also eat dinner at the hotel but we talked to some other hotel guests and they said their food had been very salty. Breakfast was served on a tray. We had our breakfast out because of that. Friendly staff and overall a nice stay.

It's an ideal pit-stop en route to the ports if you've a long journey before the crossing.
The bedroom walls are wafer thin however - you can hear every sound from the adjacent rooms - so if you're a light sleeper, you might struggle to get a good night's sleep.

If you like comfort the bed here is hard to beat!

Yet another great Ibis hotel for our enroute trip from our home in the Costa Blanca to the UK. Most comfortable bed, no air con but not needed as temp of 17.5 degrees, meant we could leave a window open which was much nicer. A large size room with good quality shower. Hotel is on 2 floors, no lift but they accommodated us on the ground floor as my husband has mobility restrictions. Excellent food in the Ibis restaurant where we had our evening meal, did not take breakfast the next day, as a bit pricey for the small amount we eat in the mornings. Highly recommend a stay here and we will return on our trip back at the end of the Summer.

We found the room very poor for the price, definitely not worth over £80 per night. The room was small at the back of the hotel with a tall hedge right outside the window. We have stayed in many Ibis hotels but we were disappointed with this room.

Very good stop for a first night in France due to easy access from Channel Port. Access and parking are easy and the hotel provides everything required for a relaxing start to a holiday. Stay here quite often. Have never eaten in the restaurant until this visit. From now on, I will eat here every time. The food is outstanding. Best steak I’ve had in France. Room is small but clean and comfortable. Bad points: no tea/coffee facilities in the room. When next door either side shuts their door, it’s that loud it’s like they’ve slammed my door. The cleaners are noisy in the morning. WiFi isn’t great. Plenty of space for parking, close to the motorway. Plenty of shops/stores in walking distance. But all in all I will stay here because of the great food and clean and comfortable room.

Hotel staff were friendly but the hotel itself is looking a little dated now. The rooms are very compact but the beds were very comfortable.
Its tucked away but you can walk to fast food restaurant if you don't want to eat in, great bakery across the street as well.
