Very surprised to be told I could not take my bicycle to my room. This never used to be the case here and is rather exceptional in France. The bike was clean and too valuable to leave in a garage. Dealbreaker for me

The whole town seemed to be shutdown with most restaurants closed for their holidays, the Hôtel restaurant was under staffed and could not offer an acceptable time for a table and were very unhelpful.

Everything was great except the pillows, which were all too deep for a comforrtable night's sleep for me. Staff friendly and helpful, hotel generally in good order and clean. We took breakfast which was well-stocked with a good range of buffet options. A good choice for a convenient stop to break up the journey further south.

Hotel was well placed in the centre of town. The room was clean and adequate, we were only staying one night! The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was good with a varied menu. We did not have breakfast, preferring to get coffee and croissant at a local bakery! There were plenty around the hotel. Covid precutions were in place and well observed. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful.

THEFT IN THE HOTEL FROM THE STAFF!!!! We left items in the room when we called back they said there was nothing jackets, Burberry scarf and wool cape with fur that are worth more than 2000 pounds disappeared story to be followed. Not enough to write it here

Great hotel right in the centre of Abbeville, everything about the hotel was great, it was the area that let it down, nothing was open past 2000 so we were forced to use the hotels restaurant. For a town of 30k people this suprised us.
Would we stop here again, yes but would eat before we arrived.

When I first entered the hotel and asked for a room I was told they were fully booked. I went outside booked a room on Hotels.com on my phone, went back in and told her I had booked a room, she told me she couldn't check me in as there was now a problem with her computer. I asked how she had been able to check they were fully booked not 5 minutes ago and she didn't answer but told me I would have to wait in reception until her computer was fixed. I went to show her my reservation email and she refused to look at it but for some reason just checked me in and gave me my room. Extremely bizarre and a very bad advert for Mercure Hotels, which is a real shame as I was only passing through but would have liked to come back and see more of the town as it is very nice area. The young lad also working on reception was completely different and very pleasant it must be said.

easy to find but parking is a problem specially if your disabled, there is no hotel parking & have to use public sites , they are not far away but one is an hour only & you have to keep moving the car its free after 7pm the other which is opposite is free as long as you want but you have to fight for space

For an overnight stop, this hotel was ideal for us. The room was smaller than we were expecting from a Mercure, but it was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and a good breakfast with a greater selection than at many hotels in France. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so would certainly stay again.

Stayed one night on returning from Honfleur-hotel is modern with very helpful reception.WE had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent especially the deserts .Rooms are well furnished.
Public parking nearby-use the white bays as these have no time restrictions-the blue bays have a two hour between 9am and 7pm-both are free but you will need the parking disc .

Excellent stopover option in a pretty town

We stayed at the Mercure Abbeville for 1 night after arriving late evening from England. An hour out of Calais it was a great place to stop before starting our travels the next day. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of the pretty town of Abbeville with adequate free parking still available in the nearby square when we arrived at 11pm. Despite our room overlooking the road we couldn't hear it at all and the room was a really good size, comfy bed and large bathroom and of all our hotel stopovers in France it was the only one with tea & coffee making facilities in the room. We would happily stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Nice hotel in a small town. Staff were really unhelpful. We requested a parking space as the booking made it clear these were limited and should be requested early. No space available and no communication to let us know in advance. we were told to park in a public square nearby. went to the bar at 11pm to be told we would only get 1 drink because they wanted to shut it, despite there being a number of people in there.

We stayed in this hotel twice, overnight on the way into France and the same on the way home 13 days later. Both times were the same, good service, good clean and comfortable rooms. The food is good and you have the choice of full service or bar snacks with the same available for breakfast. We would happily stay there again.

We arrived quite late at the hotel but were welcomed by happy staff who assured us that where we had parked (around the corner) was free. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Couldn't ask for more. Beautiful hotel in a very pretty town. Breakfast was great too, with our child eating for free being an added bonus!

We arrived at 3am due to a knock on issue that eurotunnel had suffered. Otherwise we'd have been there around 11-12pm and enjoyed our stay more. Hotel is a little dated but very clean and comfortable based on the very limited time we had there. Requested a no-smoking room, but got a room that clearly had been smoked in at one time. As a non-smoker the odour is very irritating and you wake up with that smell and the linen although clean becomes smelly as a result. Non-smoking Rooms should not simply have ashtrays removed, but at 3.30am when you are beaten by tiredness who is really going to go down to reception and request another room? The coffee facilities in the room - 1 tiny milk portion per person. In a mug of coffee, that really means its strong so sadly didnt enjoy that either and a coffee ay have put us in a better mood. I will try this hotel again as its a good location on a trip further south, but will ask for a smoke free room and more milk. Otherwise, it really was fine and we were there for 6 hours so didnt really do it justice. Pleasant lady at check out in the morn

We booked this Hotel as our first stop driving to Spain,it was good enough for us to rebook for our return journey direct with the Hotel.The price they charged for our return stay was 55eurors dearer than booking through Hotels.com.I will be sending an email to the Hotel on this matter as he was not available on our departure on the 23rd of November.

Good quality modern chain hotel

In my working life I travelled abroad a great deal. I always sought out hotels that were clean, tidy, with efficient and courteous staff and somewhere decent to eat. The Hotel Mercure in Abbeville is just such a hotel. If you are seeking a bijou hotel offering some sort of \"experience\" this will not be for you. But if you want a modern, international-style, chain hotel, somewhere that delivers what \"it says on the box\" and at a reasonable price, then this hotel does it very well. So much so that when I am next in that part of France I shall stay there again.

HOtel and food in hotel was great. the area around was full of history to see on our way out of town in the morning. Would recomend for a weekend or if just passing thru.

A lovely hotel an hour away from the euro tunnel

We had a family room which was spacious and clean with the bonus of a view across the town which was lovely. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel location was good for a stroll through the town and though parking was limited we managed to park just across the road. We did not eat at the hotel but walked down to local bakery and ate in the square watching the water fountains. A lovely little town and a great hotel for a stop over - we wished that we had a little longer! But will definitely use when travelling through again.

Charming hotel and town

We have recently returned from a short stay. I took my mother, father and daughter. We were visiting to find my mother's grandfather's grave, he was killed in the first world war. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant both evenings and had breakfast as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to go back when we explore the area again and revisit my great grandfather's grave again.

We travel from Calais to South of France quite regularly and are always looking for the perfect stopover This was not quite perfect but near enough for us

We liked the town of Abbeville, we usually bi-pass it and the hotel was good and welcoming Plus the restaurant served great simple food for weary travellers (steak frites and a jug of wine) as well as menus with a good wine list

We got a bargain rate which is why we give it a go and it had been recommended
Would we pay full price? I'm not sure

As you would expect from a Mercure Hotel, this is a nicely appointed hotel in a good location in the centre of town. Despite the location, there is no issue with noise and the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep.

Pleasant staff and off-road parking available. Good Breakfast buffet and easy checkout.

I will stay here again.
