I loved this hotel, especially the view. The room was small but cleverly designed, with the ability to open a window for fresh air. The bed was comfortable although I did have to swap out a pillow for a softer option. The laundry was a bonus. In the lobby there are food, drink, water and coffee machines and a computer and printer. The staff were lovely and very helpful. At the top of a hill so be prepared for a walk.

While using the hotel sauna, I noticed that the water wouldn’t drain, so I informed a staff member.
It wasn’t merely about my inconvenience—I hoped to prevent water waste and help the hotel’s operations.
However, the response I received was disappointing.
Instead of a simple word of thanks, the staff told me to “try this” and “try that,” as if I were the one responsible for fixing the problem.
If I were in that staff member’s position, I would have simply said:
“Thank you for letting us know. I’ll check it right away.”
That one sentence reflects the staff member’s professionalism and ultimately defines the hotel’s level of service.

Really nice, helpful staff. The rooms were clean. Room was comfortable for two people, but we found the beds to be really hard and the pillows harder. Shower was great. Laundry was a nice set up and very helpful during our three week stay. Never did figure out the restaurant hours, but there are a lot of good restaurants within a few blocks. Loads of convenience stores and safe, quiet area.

There was yea and coffee in the reception area which was a great touch. The late-night udon was wonderful and enjoyed it several times.

We love the Dorm Inn and have stayed there many many times over the past 10 years (at least 1-2 times/year). There are many things to love about this hotel, and only a couple negatives. The negatives are that the rooms are small and the the beds are OK, but not as comfortable as luxury hotels. Now for the good - free Onsen! It is really nice and well maintained we go every morning and night. the price of the rooms are always reasonable and well below the average in the area. the staff is super nice and helpful - at this stay, they replaced the AC control panel the same day it broke, and let us upgrade the room for the 2nd stay of this trip for 10,000 won / night which we paid in cash. so we got the hotels.com rate, and then upgraded for a very reasonable amount. they will store your bags for you let you park for free for a bit to load up you bags, and they give free yogurt drink (morning) and ice cream (night) after your onsen. we feel so comfortable there and cannot pass the front desk without they greeting us! we highly recommend the dorm inn

Steep steep slope. There’s a steep ascend of 10 mins everytime you return to this hotel. I recommend taking the taxi if you want to skip the crazy slope. 7-11 is just across, and the bus terminal station is nearby. There’s a food street if you walk down the slope. Like every Dormy Inn branch, there’s free ice lollies and yogurt drinks at certain time belts but we never got to try them because they ran out very quickly. Rental pillows were all gone. The public bath was full at 1am. Madness. Also they placed the ice machines outside the smoking rooms, I don’t know why but it’s not very conducive and there are folks allergic to smoke. We had to keep going down to the first floor for ice (it’s summer and we were dying from the 36-deg heat). Overall okay, but if we are paying this price to stay in this hotel, we definitely will expect a lot more.

Was able to communicate with the front desk in English easily, and they helped make our stay comfortable. Also super convenient location- near two major stations and bus stops as well as both 7-11 and CU Mart very close by via walking (if you know, you know)! Quiet and clean spot in Gangnam. They also included daily free coffee downstairs (very good) and appreciated the free umbrellas available for the rainy days. 100% recommend!

Although they should have advised us the first night that we arrived when we inquired about restaurants in the area, that there were several restaurants that can be accessed from the entrance/exit at the back area of the hotel. They only told us about the ones in the Main Street of which there was only two options at that time of night (8:30pm).

I loved staying at this hotel. To begin with, my flight was delayed and I ended up checking in the morning after I'd originally intended. But that was no problem for the staff. The room was very clean, with a modern look and feel. I loved that the desk had a built-in power strip that included one 110v outlet -- even though I had brought 220v adapters, having that 110v outlet was very convenient. The power strip on the desk also has an HDMI port so you can plug in an AppleTV or Roku and watch it on the TV. Included with your stay is access to a spa that includes a hot-water and cold-water pool and a sauna. You pay extra for breakfast, but it's a bargain-priced buffet with tasty western and eastern food options. The staff was always very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The walk from the Sinnonhyeon subway stop is about 6 blocks, uphill, which can be challenging (esp. in the rain) but good exercise! And it's an easy downhill walk to Gangnam-daero with all its shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Seoul.

This is a lovely hotel, clean and modern, in the heart of Seoul’s fabled Gangnam District. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful — even if their English is is not Ivy-League perfect. Be aware: Seoul is a city built on lots of hills, and this hotel is walking distance, slightly uphill from Sinnonhyeon subway station.

Hotel is on an uphill slope. It was a struggle carrying 3 luggages up the slope. Not a lot of food places nearby. You have to walk further to find it. There is a 7-11 and another convenience store 2 mins away. Room was decent sized. I only stayed for a night.

Not the perfect hotel but certainly worth a 4.5 star rating. Every time I entered/left the hotel or restaurant, I would be greeted politely by the staff. The hotel’s located between and walkable (~5 mins) to Sinnonhyeon and Eonju metro stations (both Line 9). To get to the hotel, you could also take Bus 6703 from Incheon Airport and alight at Novotel Hotel (beside Dormy Inn).
Breakfast was reasonably good but I liked the free Soba from 9pm every night. They also had free drinks near the lobby from 2pm.
Rooms were neat and clean (room service always did a great job every day), though they were slightly small. Unfortunately, pillows were also quite hard but you could get softer ones outside the spa on a first come first serve basis. If you needed an iron, you could borrow a steam iron from the front desk. There’s no gym in the hotel if you’re looking for one.

Rooms were neat and clean (room service always did a great job every day), though they were slightly small. Unfortunately, pillows were also quite hard but you could get softer ones outside the spa on a first come first serve basis. If you needed an iron, you could borrow a steam iron from the front desk. There’s no gym in the hotel if you’re looking for one.
