My stay was wonderful. My room was comfortable and had a good night sleep. I really loved the pool and the gym. The staff was amazing. The staff near the pool was excellent and alway attentive. Location is great and feels safe. The hotel is near a mall and many restaurants and shopping which makes it very convenient. I would stay here again.

Convenient location

Location was convenient for me as the office is near to the hotel. Room was clean but sheets smells. Was out early and back late (due to traffic) and hence did not notice that I have to indicate if I want the sheets changed until the last night.

Breakfast was alright in selection but it was tasty to me. Other meals taken in the hotel is good but a bit on the high side.

Location was good as it is next to Living World Mall which houses a good number of restaurants. There is also many standalone restaurants just across the road

Hotel room is more tired looking since my last visit in 2019. Not maintain properly. For some reasons the towel smells funny even the new ones. Could be the detergent that was used.

Like the water cooler idea where guest can top up drinking water and hence contribute to less plastic bottle waste. However some guests do not trust the water dispenser citing maintenance practise and hence cleanliness (how often the water filter is changed). That set me thinking after seeing condition of room ……

Overall decent stay.

I really enjoyed the culture and the hospitality of the people at this hotel, you would think the employees own a share of the hotel, they were wonderful in making you feel welCome
And happy from the front desk manager Vinna and Ardi to the restaurant manager Billy, Reza, and the restaurant staff Emily, Kholis,Malek, Linda, Ayu, Thomas, Vera, Risky.
They made my stay very pleasant and housekeeping was great in making my room fresh an FCC clean all day.
The hotel may have not been perfect or 5 star
But these people were all 5 star in my book and will go back again and stay there

Staff were friendly except for one service staff manning the Accor desk . When I requested her to call a local number she asked me to call from my room .subsequently I went to my room and did a WhatsApp call to the number. Later I received a call in my room and the service desk lady said she called the local number as she said she called the local number and wanted to charge me RP 35,000. In the first instance she did not even record the tel number down so how could she have called the local number . I am very perplexed and this behaviour marred the otherwise pleasant stay in the hotel

This hotel has really turned around in the past year. Staff are much more outgoing and operations are much more environmentally friendly — no more plastic wrapping of every laundry piece and water dispensers outside every room to reduce plastic bottle use. Aside from the ongoing video playing in the elevators (which has little impact and is not necessary), this hotel is great!

Housekeeping - getting worse each time. Usually bedlinen not changed into cleaned ones on check-in day. Sundry also not fully replenished each day so need to call housekeeping every night to request.

Staff - still as very polite
Maintenance - room door can’t close without a hard bang thus disturbed by neighbours who leave their room early or who come back to their room late at night.

This was my first time staying at Mercure Alam Sutera. The superior room was cozy and quite spacey, with comfortable bed and good free wifi. The bathroom was clean and roomy too, although the toiletries and hairdryer were not special. I had great view of the pool area from my room. The location was perfect for what I need. I would definitely stay here again if I visit this area in the future.

Located in surburbia.

Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera is about one to 1 1/2 hours drive from Jakarta's city centre or Jakarta Selatan (South). It is located in a pleasant upmarket suburb of Jakarta. Just across the road is the Living World Mall on one side and a cluster of restaurants on the other.
It is a good place to stay only if you have work or things to do in this area. Otherwise it is very time consuming, exhausting and expensive (taxi and toll charges) to commute to the city-centre.
As a hotel, this Mercure offers a high standard of room and service with adequate facilities. While its pool is impressive, the gym is small. Staff are friendly and pleasant.
I considered room service, with all the taxes, to be pricey.
Across the road, the Living World Mall offers a range of eateries and a Cineplex showing the latest Hollywood movies.
I enjoyed staying in this suburb which did not made me feel like I was actually in Jakarta.

Very good hotel. Just opposite to the Living World department store. Good Room with proper amenities.
But not sure why maid changed only one set of towel since there's 2 guests. And also not add bottles of cola and juice at mini bar?
But however, the buffet breakfast was so nice. The staff were so friendly and helpful but a bit problem since some of them cannot speak English. But, so nice staff.

Overall the room is good and the staff is friendly. Maybe improvement is for Indonesian food. I like Mercure especially because they have local food for breakfast. However, for local foodnlike lobtong sayur, I found the vegetables are not cooked right (still hard). Maybe because they are not put inside the broth. In terms if room it is better that Mercure Simatupang but in terms of food, Mercure Simatupang is better.

Not happy with credit card deposit

When I checked in, the staff asked for credit card, and took Rp. 1,000,000 as security deposit, When I checked out, I needed to pay Rp. 300,000 for my coffee bill. The staff deducted from my security deposit, and the staff said the Rp. 700,000 will be refunded to my credit card within 1 week. I am not happy as I could pay Rp. 300,000 directly, without having to wait to check whether my 700,000 has been refunded.

Televison did not work ..so I changed the room.

The other room did have a nice pool view, but unfortunaltly the rooms does have all very very thin walls....you can hear everything from the neighbour rooms and they can HEAR YOU too!

In the morning there was a very very loud gym traning at 5.30 AM!!
The reception lady told me...that this is every Sundays morning..haha!!..so be careful with these side of room next to swimming pool..!

The windows was vibrating from the loud music and the windows do not protect at all..you hear everything..the loud motorbikes just close to the crossing/junction ..!!

The stuff just said sorry, not a real sorry with an excuse..
Bad management behaviour.

The breakfast was great , the rooms are really nice and the near mall very nice for shopping by walking distance...but its not good to catch sleep!

The hotel is located near to 2 malls with lots of food variaties. Moreover, it is not too far from Airport.
The room is clean and nice. Free wifi and free mini bar is great.
There are many internation power point plug for charging of many devices.
Hot water is good too.

However, standard room is small and wifi speed is not fast.

When we arrived on Sat night, it was very noisy outside the hotel with nightclub music glaring till around 1am. Other than that, location is good next to the living world mall that has lots of restaurant and food outlets.
The room was clean but the shower has drainage problem and water didn't subside for a while after you finish showering. There's no instruction for the aircon and it happened that it was set in the wrong mode and the first night was warm instead of cool. but the technician arrived quickly when we reported it the next day and fixed it. Bathroom amenities like you shower gel and shampoo are lacking. there's only a set enough for one when we registered 3 people staying. there's no door sign that we can hang if we don't our room cleaned or do not disturb sign. We got 2 teacups but only one tea spoon.
But overall, staffs were nice and helpful.

The hotel was just perfect in many ways: the location (right next to a shopping mall but 30 minutes from the airport), the pool was the warmest we had swam in and had many kids for my son to play with, the service everywhere was TOPS!! The food was what could have used a bit of attention though we only ate one meal there. The mall must have been where people headed as no one ate at the restaurant the night we ate there but us. I would highly recommend this hotel though! You won't be disappointed overall.
