Excellent from start to finish, the welcome at the front desk, lady with blonde hair, very nice, to the rooms, which were very spacious, and 2 double beds which was great, to the food in the restaurant, the stir fry was gorgeous, the baileys sauce was fab, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the ambience in the foyer was so calm and relaxed, it was nicely decorated for Christmas, the outside of the hotel was nicely lit up with lovely reindeers.

Loved the location on the edge of town. Quiet, with generous parking and easy access into Athy. A very large room, with comfortable seating for 2. A spacious bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Generous, spacious, comfortable, lounge areas. A superb breakfast with many choices and waitress service. Delicious food avaiable in the Bistro....highly recommend the braised blade of beef.. Clearly a popular destination within the local community.

I would not reccomend. Booked garden room. Tried to check in at 4pm. Room was not ready. Staff informed us to wait on a call to be updated on when room was ready. By 9pm still no phone call. Went back to reception for staff to giggle and say they forgot to call. Was given the key with no apology. Very unprofessional. Before writing review emailed hotel to explain upset as heavily pregnant and needed room earlier and was told lies that we were asked to come back in 15 minutes. No such thing. Then went on to say that room was ready before 5pm they just forgot to tell us. Would not reccomend.

Loved loved this hotel. It was my favorite hotel we stayed in during our time in Ireland. It was clean and super comfortable and relaxed. The only negative thing was our dinner, the manager was super rude to us and was annoyed we didn’t have a reservation. But maybe he was having a bad day. Living in the states we didn’t know we would need a reservation for our own hotel. But overall we would come back and loved it!!

An excellent hotel which we use each time we are in the area visiting friends. The premises are always clean and inviting. You can be assured of a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation. The restaurant offer’s excellent food and although we didn’t have dinner on this occasion we did have an enjoyable breakfast.

Due to high prices in Carlow, I had to look slightly further afield and picked up on Clanard Court. How lucky I was! Everything was fantastic, from welcome to checkout. The breakfast was faultless with all members of staff being polite and courteous. Out of 10, I would give this hotel 9.95/10 with the 0.05 going to overlooking the car park whilst having breakfast. However, even this ended up a positive as I could watch the Alpacas and I assume goats whilst eating

The service is absolutely fantastic, reception went out of their way to do everything they possibly could when I was really stuck and my taxi hadn't turned up. Meaning I still made my flight! The food and service in the restuarant was good, however in the night i found a mouse running around the bedroom, i called reception .but got no reply, i caught the mouse in a wastbin, and left iti n the room, in the morning there was no one on reception. At check out ther was no one on reception, i left my key and phone number on the desk, 36 hours later no apology .

Refurbishments were happening in the bar when we arrived and the wallpaper stripping was terribly smelly. Food in the restaurant was excellent, except for watery scrambled eggs at breakfast. Shame there was no view from the bedroom window - just looking out onto a hedge. Our room was extremely close to building works - we were warned when we checked in, but we had no warning when we booked. They started pretty early in the morning too! Guests staying prior to attending a wedding were very inconsiderate both allowing their unruly children to run around the corridors late at night and all made noise waking us up. Plenty of parking and the hotel staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very nice with a large comfortable room and excellent amenities. The quilt was a bit too heavy for my liking and i was too hot in the night because of it but that is purely a personal preference. Otherwise everything else was of a high standard.
