We love Stanford Hotel Myeongdong! The location is perfect, so close to shops, the station, and the lively Myeongdong night markets. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they don’t have a dedicated family room, so we booked two rooms for our family of five. Everything was easy and convenient, and we would definitely stay here again!

Overall - I would stay again if other hotels around the area is booked. Did not get any wow moment that made us want to come back.
Checkin - fast and easy, but staff did not provide any information about the hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and ended up having to find out info ourselves. Windows were dirty. Not much view to enjoy.
Room - we had a double bed on 17 floor. Very small, only shower. Room felt very stuffy and room temp can’t be controlled. Heat still came on even after turning off.
Cleaning - cleaning lady on the 2 day and 3rd was good. The first day, forgot the line our garbage bins and we didn’t get bottle waters.

We had a fantastic and comfortable stay at Stanford Hotel Myeongdong. As a family with kids, our priority is accessibility to food. We had breakfast at the lobby, but there is also a convenience store/stand that had snacks, drinks - great for late night munchies. Right outside the hotel, LOTS of places to eat, and Myeongdong street is just steps away. Each floor had a hot/cold water dispenser and self-serve laundry is also available. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Our room was tidied up every day, with fresh towels and replenished bottles of water. Definitely would recommend to anyone going for the first time, especially with family.

Breakfast items were pretty much the same everyday and we spent 8 days eating breakfast. The food quality was average. What I disliked most about my room is the lack of hot water which we didn’t have for a few hours one night and the poor water pressure which was every night. Another disappointment is the front desk denying my request for some plates and silverware so I can put some food to reheat at the 9th floor microwave; they told me no plates and sent me to their manager who was nice enough to let us have some plates at the restaurant. Overall, the best aspect to this hotel is the location.

Service was good nothing to complaint, location is perfect. the room does not have any window, felt stuffy staying in there for 3 night. Carpet smell awful, all curtain is dusty as. I did pay high premium for the room, definitely not worth it. 2 stars one for the Staff and one for location

Great location! Above apple store/ next to olive young/ rimowa/ lululemon and lots of eateries.
Great reception except on last day when i left one room card in the room and i had to rush for airport transport and could locate the card in the room despite making a trip back to the room, i was charged KRW 10k for missing room card (no other hotels imposed this fees in my travel history), receptionist could have highlight this upfront if this is strictly adhered to. Other than this, great stay and location of hotel

The location is perfect—close to restaurants, the subway, and shopping areas—but the room is a bit too small for two queen beds. The bathroom also smelled like urine when we arrived, which was really unpleasant. I’ve never had any issues with skin irritation before, but the bedsheets made me itch, and the same happened to my children.

Room was great. We faced the Lotte department store and I was worried about noise but never heard anything from outside. Loved the water machine so close to our room. Also the bathrooms and overall room was very spacious. Also loved there was a bathtub to give the baby a bath. We had breakfast each morning in the cafe and it was delicious. Lots of variety so everyone was happy. Also the staff overall was very nice but especially in the cafe my only feedback is to have bigger napkins in the cafe and maybe no motion dector light when you enter the room. .

The hotel is situation in a prime location for visitors and tourist. A shoppers paradise with nightly market within walking distance. Transport and the subway is very convenient as well as many good and cheap restaurants near the hotel and shopping mall. The location is ideal and this compensate for the small rooms with very limited space for luggages.

I booked my stay about a year in advance and only booked this hotel due to one particular room that was fairly large with a wrap-around window. When I was ready to check in, I located my room, opened the door, and I was standing in a small, rundown standard room, not the room I had booked. I returned to the reception desk and told the staff I’d been given the wrong room. I also pulled up my reservation and confirmed the room I’d booked. To my shock, instead of apologizing and immediately correcting their error, the staff told me I’d been given the correct room, then changed the story and said the room I booked was not available, and then began offering me an equivalent room with the caveat that I would have to pay more. When I insisted on a refund, suddenly, the room I’d booked was available. The staff at this hotel gaslit, lied, and never apologized. Although I have no proof that their behavior was discriminatory, there’s always that possibility. I will never give this hotel my business in the future. I moved to the Ryse Autograph Collection after my stay at this hotel, and the experience was like night and day — I was warmly welcomed, provided with above and beyond service, and treated with the utmost respect.

Everything you need is just below the hotel and within walking distance. The only downside is the traffic sound from the road. We were on the 11th floor and could hear it quite clearly, so if you are a light sleeper this might not be a good option.

Perfect location, lots of food options around. Food court at LOTTE department store. Airport bus is close to the hotel . For big grocery store head to LOTTE mart at the Seoul station . At Seoul station you can also direct train to the airport. Room big enough for family of four. Kids liked the bathtub. Mega coffee around the corner. Hotel is on top of the Apple Store it took us a minute to find. Hotel has robot vacuum which cleans the halls, also big hit with kids.

My partner came to visit me while I live abroad and we had a wonderful time at this hotel! The room and hotel gym were on the small side, but that’s expected in South Korea. The staff were friendly and helpful at every encounter. The building and facilities were clean and well maintained. I found used towels and shower cap in the wardrobe when we entered the room, had to call housekeeping to clean up the place. The room is also quite dusty throughout my stay. It is small but good for 2 pax. Besides that, it is situated in a convenient location, nearby subway and airport limousine bus and few steps away from myeongdong shopping street. For the price point, it is a good stay!

We reserved three rooms again this year after having a great experience in 2024. Even though I notified the hotel in advance that my mother-in-law would be checking in earlier than me, the front desk refused to allow her to check in at first. Only after returning to the front desk and pleading her case was she allowed to check in before I arrived (late flight). After I arrived, I asked what the problem was since I sent a message several days in advance. He explained the hotel didn't receive all messages sent through Hotels.com.

I'm still giving them four stars overall because the hotel is very clean, the breakfast is nice, and the gym sufficient. The location is great. We'll still think twice about staying again next year.

It is well located. Some staff are friendly. Expect self-service with luggage. Standard room is super small (a small double bed occupies most of the room) with a motion activated bright light to the small bathroom. So it can be quite disturbing at night. During our stay, there were strange noises coming from the facility room half of the night.

My family enjoyed 5 nights at the Stanford. I would recommend staying here. The staff was very friendly. Also, I would recommend buying the breakfast (most places are closed until 9am). The Stanford was very close to a lot of restaurants and the myeongdong market. For those English only customers, the hotel is in same building as the Apple Store.

No photos to share as the room was only ok. I did expect a view of some sort but pretty much looked straight in on the building next door. I’m pretty sure my booking said city view when I booked and photos shown certainly were showing a window open with a view not the curtain closed because there is nothing to see. Room was comfortable and clean but is only a double and not a queen size bed but I was ok with that. There is a bit of a funky smell when I got out of the lift area of the floor but is ok in the room. It does have an air purifier in the room if you have any allergies. We did have the breakfast in the morning which was ok for the price but nothing too special. Handy if you don’t want to look for anything but it is only available upto 9am before you can no longer access it before close off at 9:30am.

I have booked 2 rooms for my family and stayed here for 7 days. Overall I am very satisfied with this hotel.
Location: very near to shuttle bus station to airport and subway station.
Room: It is quite small but it’s clean and tidy and with sufficient toilet stuff/slippers. Air conditioner is in good condition and quiet.
Buffet breakfast: the buffet is very good with lots of variety, and food is of high quality and descent presentation. Smoked salmon is delicious. Staff service is good too.
Overall I like this hotel and would recommend to my friends
