Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly / attentive staff made for a pleasant stay. The hotel bar was a nice bonus and stayed open late, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring.
Breakfast was the weakest part of the experience. There appeared to be only one waitstaff member serving the entire dining area, and the selection was somewhat limited. There was also no menu available for ordering additional items.
The temporary hotel parking area outside the hotel was difficult to find on arrival (due to paint not visible). Once checked in, the garage parking was very secure and convenient, although the streets leading to it are quite narrow and require careful driving.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

This was more like an Inn. We had the most beautiful room that we heard had just been refurbished, at the front of the hotel that even included a cozy nook to look out over the river and into old town. Breakfast was provided as part of the fee and was in their gorgeous and quaint dining room every morning from 7-10. We could even go down and get coffee from their Nespresso machine anytime we wanted. Our last day we left in the early morning and they even provided a breakfast to go. One of the best experiences I’ve had. Thank you so much!❤️

This far exceeded any expectation I had. Very freshly renovated with new, clean, modern everything. Rooms have perfect lighting built in to ceiling, closet, entry. Bathroom is modern, with heated floor, rain shower, etc. - far better than my own.

First the positives, nice hotel, wonderful view (if you book the pricey river view), and very central and close to the old town. On the not so good is the hassle of not being able to park in front of the hotel, so if you're traveling with lots of luggage and kids, this is not the place to stay. Breakfast was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. One staff member at check in was very rude and unable to explain inconsistencies in pricing, which is why we would not return to this place and also recommend not visiting.
In general, although a nice hotel in good location, it is overpriced and there are certainly better (and friendlier) options in town.

We only stayed one night but we liked this hotel very much. Parking and drop off by our hotel shuttle was the only part that was a hassle because it is right on a busy road with no place for the taxi to stop to let you get your bags in or out. There was very heavy snow while we were there so this made it even more of a challenge since we had all of our snow ski stuff. But otherwise a fantastic place.

This hotel was the PERFECT location for exploring Innsbruck. The scenery was stunning with the mountains behind, plenty of restaurants across the street and bridge, the Golden Roof across the bridge, and plenty of shopping, groceries, and ice cream! And buses. The staff were phenomenal. The lady in the breakfast dining room who seated us was an absolute jewel. There is nothing but wonderful things about this hotel.

Our room was wonderful. We looked out over the river towards old town. Even though we were directly above a busy road, we did not hear it due to the high quality windows. It was easy to walk to Innsbruck Old Town and enjoy a beer. Behind the hotel is an excellent pizzeria. Their pizza is the best. Parking was easy, and the breakfast was delicious. Ask the staff for the history of the hotel, the town, recommendations for F&B .. they are amazing. Incredible. One of the most visible buildings in Innsbruck. Almost directly across from the main bridge to Old Town. This place has been in business (continuously, under the same name) since 1473. The wall next to the cafe area is original, with wooden pegs in place of nails. Amazing place, amazing location. Really nice and spacious room (for 4!) with great views. Fantastic breakfast. Overall 10/10. One of my favorite hotels anywhere.

What a beautiful hotel right in town along the river! Our room faced the river and we enjoyed the sounds of the rushing water and the people walking.

My daughter’s room faced the back. Her room was of a modern flair and very well done. She was able to open up her windows and enjoy the sounds of the young people enjoying their drinks.

The only reason we didn’t give a 5-star rating was because of the lack of soundproofing from outside our room even though the windows were double glazed. This is understandable given how old the hotel is.
The pillows also need a lot more “body” - folding mine in half actually helped.

This hotel and its staff are absolutely lovely. They provided several recommendations that were always spot on. They take pride in this jewel, which is now my favorite hotel of all time. The breakfast buffet is all locally sourced, the bar has self serve coffee and tea available 24 hours. The view over the river and Christmas markets, with the mountains in the background was breathtaking. It is very close to local transportation and the city center. In a great location for walking

I can't recommend Hotel Mondschein enough. It's ideally placed if you're in Innsbruck for the Christmas markets, with stunning views over the river and the Christkindlmarkt. The rooms are lovely and the breakfasts first rate, but by far the best thing about it is the staff. They're all so friendly and helpful. We stay at the Mondschein every time we visit Innsbruck.

Want a stunning little boutique hotel - loved it from the moment we walked in the door our checkin was smooth and super friendly and very helpful with services location and local knowledge there is a lift which is important the room was spacious enough for 4 of us with a separate toilet and best of all the view out our window on level 5 over the river to the Christmas markets blew us away the bar is cosy and the staff again incredible we love this hotel and would definitely come back

Beautiful historic hotel in the thick of the most visited area in Innsbruck. The staff bends over backward to be helpful, and the rooms and the hallways on each floor are different. Comfortable bedding, great on-site restaurant, although many other restaurants are in the area. We had a lovely view out our window looking toward the Alps. We would love to return and stay at this hotel again.

Fantastic location in central Innsbruck with plenty of space in a family room - double, single & single sofa bed. The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold, but staff ensured efforts were made to improve it. Good selection of breakfast. Helpful staff at hotel & its adjoining bar. Laundrette within couple of minutes walk. Would recommend for family stay.

The Hotel Mondshein is centrally located about an 18 minute walk from the maon train station. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a stort stay and the location was great. Just 5 minutes to the train/ cable car ride to the \"top of Innsbruck\". Well worth the price of admission. Thr hotel is also right across the river from the old town.

Rooms wound up being ready ahead of regular check in time, too. Breakfast left a little to be desired but overall is a decent spread. Would stay here again.

Parking at the hotel is for smaller cars only. We had to park on the opposite side of the river. Which is a 5-7 minute walk. When you arrive you temporarily park curb side and have to unload everything you need there. Of course we forgot something in the car and I had to go back to the garage at night to get it. So plan ahead when packing. Hotel is in a beautiful area.

It was a beautiful room. The beds were very comfortable. I very much enjoyed taking baths in the deep soaking bathtub. I prefer baths but it seems most hotels in Europe only have showers. The room also had a large double closet as well as hooks to hang coats etc. I assume this was for skiers in the winter as were the heated towel bars.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I was sorry to see our stay end.
