Definitely call ahead to make sure amenities are working. Jacuzzi was not working. Staff was friendly and helpful even at late hours. Property is decent needs some updates an attention to little details. Beach view was amazing but gate to beach was not very secure a while I was in the jacuzzi other people were in there also saying they were not staying there but people knew it was a lax place. Overall I think it’s worth what I paid and would stay again. No shade on property and they did not have any umbrellas out. As well in the pictures they had small day bed areas and they did not have any day beds. Room was decent smelled clean and beds were comfortable. Close to restaurants and shops.

When we checked into the room, there was a large puddle of water leaking from humidifier due to cracked tank. Super small dorm fridge with shelves and door to freezer missing. Outlet cover was busted showing wiring. Hot tub was out of order entire week with the problem being as simple as, according to man at front desk, it needed a heating element. Guests washed their feet in pool causing sand to accumulate in the pool. All of these complaints were reported to desk manager within hour of checking in along with pictures. Only response from him was “really? Hmm”. I even asked for a different room preferably with a view of the ocean as opposed to a view of the peeling paint on wall. Said there would be a $50 to $60 increase… we were already paying way too much already. Also breakfast was a joke. Apples, stale muffins wrapped in Saran Wrap, few cartons of Activia yogurt and Tropicana you pour yourself from a half empty jug. The desk manager was of no help at all but the maid was good about bringing us towels to clean the water soaked floor from humidifier which had to be done every few hours. Thanks for that. Week of April 18 through 26. Brenda and Darrell Teal.

No. This was by far the worst. I get hotels every week due to being a travel nurse. The pictures they show on the app is not what the room is really like. It was hot in the room, the ac unit sits on the floor, no central air and the toilet didn’t flush. I only stayed one night and booked at a better room. Never again

The room had two queen beds with two small pillows in each bed. There were three pool towels and three bath towels. I would suggest bringing your own pillow and pool towels!! Our room key stopped working three times in a two day stay. The first time I was told my phone was demagnetizing them. I made it a point not to put it near my phone. The second time I was told the TV was demagnetizing them. I could understand if one key had a problem but both would not work!! When you have to take your dog out at 4:30 AM and can’t get back in your room it is very frustrating! I have traveled for 40+ years and have never been locked out of my room three times in one stay! Parking is very tight and depending on when you arrive it may be difficult for larger trucks etc. Breakfast was coffee, juice, fruit, small bite size muffin and yogurt.

Beach view was great. AC kept the room cold. The heated pool was not heated, the hot tub was not hot and the fire pit never worked. There was a filthy humongous hot tub that took up half the room and was not necessary. It would have been nicer to have a seating area. Overall, very disappointed!!

This place needs an entire makeover. It felt dirty and needs major updating, the hot tub was broken, the pool was full of sand the doorways to your room have not been washed or painted in probably years and the breakfast consisted of a saran wrapped chocolate chip mini muffin

Not all rooms have beach views. Hotel has potential, but I don't know if I'd stay there again until a few things are fixed. 5 Minutes in, toilet didn't flush. It was a simple fix and the front desk person came up right away. Nonetheless, it was an inconvenience to have to call someone to flush your dirty toilet. The shower wasn't draining and we showered with our legs spread over the drain so we weren't in standing water. Decor in the bathroom is good however, there's no counter space for your bathroom stuff. There WAS room to install even a small counter outside of the bathroom so it was a shame there wasn't anything. Like I said, it's got potential.

It was nice to be on the beach. The mattress was terrible. They need new mattress's . They are worn out and uncomfortable. Maid service was hit and miss. We would have maid service and she would bring coffee cups but no coffee . A lot of sand gets brought into the room. Not sure if the room was swept but always had sand in the bed.

Hot tub thermostat was broken. The water was cold the hallways stairwells indoors or rushed than an unpainted, but the room was clean. The breakfast was a big disappointment. They shouldn’t advertise. They have breakfast when they have a broken coffee machine in packaged pastry.

I was disappointed with the Lotus. The room was mostly clean but the furniture is extremely worn. The mattress was iffy. Slept on top with another blanket and bought my own pillow. The jacuzzi was out of service ( worn down looking ) the pool was not "heated" enough to go in. The view of the ocean was beautiful and beach access was nice. So we made the best of it. The staff was nice enough. And I will say the shower and bathroom were clean. Thank God! Will try another spot next time in Daytona.

The room was very beat up! The headboard looked like a cat fought it after going crazy from the AC squeaking. Tv had to be reprogrammed by the maintenance guy, while he fixed the door.
The ac made a squeak noise, the door card reader would only work once then card had to be reprogrammed every time I left the room.

Clear view and hearing the ocean was relaxing. The room bathroom was excellent with the shower head coming from the ceiling and very big shower. I would definitely choose to stay there next time im in the ormond area.

From checking in to checking out was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel in my life! I booked a room for two adults and two children during spring break. I’ve booked it early, so there would be no issues with the room. I call them about my reservation and they seem very nice over the phone. Tell me yes I have my room available. I get there and I am standing at the counter with no greet no acknowledgment acting like he didn’t even see me standing in there continued to do what he was doing took about five minutes and then he addressed me again not hi how are you? This hotel is advertised as something it's not. Bad toilets, HOT TUB was BROKEN, it has not been completely renovated. There are things broken all over the property The staff were superb trying to help us. We were told the owner does not want to put money into it. Elevator went out, water backups. We talked to most people that were staying there and everyone was livid about the hot tub. Why wouldn't the property let us know. Our group came in from all over the country for a special time together. We were extremely disappointed. I hear the the owners would not do anything - but now they are cutting future rates. BUT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US ANYTHING BACK for the trouble . I think at least they could have comped 1 night of our stay. I have been a customer at this property several times in the past but will never go back. I do not recommend this to anyone. Look somewhere else.

The room was clean and the ocean view was excellent. All floors were tiled and the bathroom updated. The bed and furniture shows wear, was basic, but was all clean and comfortable. Basic continental breakfast with muffins, fruits, yogurt, orange juice, and many options of hot beverages. Very nice for a basic breakfast. Plus they had free cheese and crackers in the evening for a small snack. Its an small, older building with newer remodels and very clean. Beach wasn’t crowded either, which is a plus as well.

The room was really pretty. The bed was uncomfortable. The sink was so cute. It was redone. The bathroom was beautiful, but the hot tub was broken and the laundry was broken so I only paid 108 a night so it was worth it I guess but next time I’ll pay a little bit more and have stuff that works. Overall, the pool was beautiful.

Things needing improvement: the bed was fair at best (not very comfortable); the pillows were too hard; the TV was among the smallest we’ve seen in a hotel room; we didn’t care for the overhead shower (it’s OK to have a shower head there but need one on the end too); breakfast was inferior, with few offerings and only bananas as fruit, to what we expected for the price paid.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of this motel. The room and grounds were poorly maintained, the furniture looked like it was picked up off the street, and the pillows had stains. The beds were full of sand and clearly not cleaned properly. Walls are paper-thin — you can hear everything. Breakfast was just a jug of juice and some muffins. Definitely not worth the stay.

The room was very clean but the bed and chair weren't very comfortable. The showerhead is ceiling-mounted so you have to get your hair wet and the flow isn't strong enough to rinse the hotel-supplied conditioner. Paint was peeling off my room door. Expedia's property details says Lotus Inn has a bar. They don't have one on-site. The "continental breakfast" was a choice of pre-packaged muffin or a banana and the only drink options were coffee/tea out of a machine. No water, milk or juice.

The cleaning agents smell overpowering when entering the room.
The microwave was rusty on the inside.
If you want to use dishes in the room you have to leave a $25 deposit.
You have to clean the dishes before returning them.

We stayed here a few years ago but this stay proved less hospitable. Know that any property near the salt water wears faster than others, but the changes proved dramatic by the lack of maintenance. Rusty edges, worn rooms, noisy air unit, non-working ice machine. Not going back.

There was bugs but this is Florida so it’s almost a given. Just one or two though. And it just got real cold so Its not a surprise. But the room was very clean. We got the Jacuzzi room and it was great. Everything was very nice. The bed was clean. The shower was great and the Jacuzzi was awesome. We had a beach facing room on the first floor that was a stone’s throw from the water. Every part of the stay was awesome. I will definitely be back.

Direct beach access yes. This is a motel not hotel. Outdoor entrances, poor quality remodel, 2 star at best, musty rooms when outdoor temp is as in the 50s, ice machine was broken, pool/spa/fire-pit (not operating) were in complete darkness by 7 pm when we arrived and not able to be used for relaxing—staff said due to sea turtle nesting. Lyft needed for travel to Daytona beach area for any entertainment or food options. Breakfast was minimal but the hot coffee was a plus. We stayed 12 total hours and would never return. Definitely a budget motel.

This little place is a gem in the rough. The exterior is a bit worn, but the room was clean and full of upgrades. The deck spills right onto the dog friendly beach area which was perfect for us!! The breakfast offerings are very limited but the coffee/chai machine was fabulous and there were several diner options near by.
Overall a great value and one to keep on the repeat visit list.

The towels were thread bear andhad holes. The bed and pillows smelled like a locker room. The tv wqs broken so they just placed another one on the desk. The door didnt lock. The drain in the shower kept backing up. You could t get warm water. Every time someone went to thebathroom in anorher room you hear it, loudly!
