It says breakfast included, HA! A coffee machine and powdered creamer! Yuk! And muffins and bananas and apples. It said breakfast, not a continental breakfast! Even as a continental breakfast, it was pathetic.
I sat down on the side of the bed and it felt like I was sitting on a stack of newspapers. So, if they give you room 208, just be sure to ask if they replaced the mattress.
The shower had the overhead showerhead that dropped water on me. No pressure just gravity. And not a lot of volume. No tub.

Such a quaint lil property. Great location, especially because I have dogs and so nice to be able to take them for walks on the beach. Loved that the hotel was small and had an elevator. (I pack more for furries than me) everything was so clean and staff friendly. Because it’s dog friendly and smaller hotel, by the time I checked out, I felt like I knew many of the other guests. When I head back to beach for a stay, I plan on staying here. Definitely recommend.

The pool wasn't really clean.There was a lot of sand in there and around The pool Needed a lot of maintenance of the structure. The room was clean. On the website, it says there was a lounge bar. The room were in was too tight to move around ,the big tub next to the bed is in the way, no table & chair to sit on, the TV & wifi wasn't working the first day of stay the shower don't have enough pressure to wash your hair, the hot tub is not working, I'm really disappointed .

I like it was on the beach, but will never stay there again. When I got up to use the bathroom in the night, there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The towels had stains, holes, and were threadbare. There were no rugs by the beds on a tile/laminated floor. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We like the best that was on the beach... very clean rooms.... good prices for the busy holiday weekend. Good choices on the breakfast menu.... the only downside was that the rooms (we rent 2) had a damp smell ( like mold ) one worse than the other....even they had the purified machine on one. Anyway we carry febreze and Lysol disinfectant spray .

Shocking lack of maintenance and basic upkeep – Avoid!

We were incredibly disappointed by our stay here. The room is in a severe state of disrepair, and it's clear management has given up on basic maintenance and cleaning.

Here is just a short list of what we encountered:

Dilapidated Furniture: The desk and drawer set are completely falling apart. The veneer is peeling and chipping away along almost every edge, exposing the particleboard underneath.

Bathroom Issues: The bathroom was incredibly frustrating. The toilet paper holder was broken and hanging loosely out of the wall. Worse, the bathroom mirror has severe silvering/water damage all along the bottom edge, making it look filthy.

Broken Fixtures: There is an empty TV wall mount left bolted to the wall with random drywall anchors and holes right next to it, which looks incredibly trashy. Multiple door handles and lock plates are loose, scratched up, or have visible gaps around the trim.

Poor Cleanliness: We found unidentifiable sticky residue/stains on the flooring near furniture legs and corners, and even the main door was covered in scuffs, marks, and grime. The glass top on the desk was also chipped on the corner, posing a safety hazard.

For what hotels cost these days, staying in a room that feels this run-down and neglected is unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Well we checked in and people were sitting directly outside of our door we couldn’t access the room until they moved all 7 people and woman in a wheelchair. When my fiancé finally squeezed past and asked for room key a woman said it’s open we’ve been using your toilet walking threw our room to bathroom.then when we came back out the same people moved back and we couldn’t open our gate to get out till they moved again . And you would never believe when we came back from the beach we couldn’t get in our gate again!!! But for the hotel to leave the most expensive room on the properties door actually open and for people at pool are using the toilet in our room is just discussing.But the property manager said she would only give me 10 percent off if I come back again and who would go back to that unbelievable crap people using our bathroom OMG WHO RUNS THIS PLACE ? The most expensive room is used as a public restroom with us checking in !!!

I really enjoyed staying here! The pool was so nice! It was such an easy walk down to the beach. The room was clean, with plenty of toiletries and towels were in the bathroom!
The only downside was the WiFi was a bit slow, and the breakfast options were pretty limited - but of neither of those are a huge deal to me!
I also really liked that even though we arrived before our check in time and our room wasn’t ready we were still able to get our parking pass and use the pool while we waited.

The view from the porch was the best beach view I’ve had. This facility could easily have a top rating if a little more money was invested in the rooms.
The huge bath tub/spa had a hole in it and the extra large shower had no door and it was obvious the door had been removed (infilled screw holes and the seal was still attached to the opposing wall).
The doors to the rooms need scrubbing (filthy) or new paint jobs.
The staff was friendly and there was no problem in that aspect.
Again, this could easily be a top notch facility with a little investment.
It is located in an excellent location with plenty of restaurants, stores and other amenities nearby.
I would definitely return to this hotel if they put some effort into the hotel

The rates were higher because it was during a music festival, which I don’t mind. But when I pay higher rates I expect to at least have a hotel stay that doesn’t involve the loss of electricity for over 12 hours. I was comped for 50% of the cost of one night’s stay even though I lost all the food I brought with me due to the fridge not working because of the loss of electricity, not to mention being without ac in Florida, and not even having a way to vent the room without having the door wide open since the only window doesn’t open. I can overlook things like the property not being pristine since a lot of the beachside hotels in the area are similar in their wear and tear, but I can’t overlook how not one person in the staff even acknowledged the power outage, and probably wouldn’t have offered any compensation had I not brought it up. The pool area was nice and matched the description in the pictures.

The location of this property is very convenient. It is close to shopping and good restaurants. Overall, I was disappointed in the property. It looks much nicer in the photos. The pool area was nice and clean, very nice directly on the ocean. That being said, the hot tub was out of service. It was fixed but the water remained cold
The pool was very cold. I expected it to be heated. The room location was good but the room itself was disappointing. Upon entering there were cobwebs on the headboard, the lampshade was all cracked with one lightbulb out. Walls had all kinds of unpainted scrapes. Mattresses were not comfortable and pillows were awful. Linens were nice. Water pressure in the shower was dismal! Nice fixtures but no pressure. I could barely rinse out shampoo in my hair! I do have to say, it was nice and quiet and the property grounds were kept clean. Coffee station in the lobby area was great. To conclude, pool area ,other than hottub, was the best part of our stay. I can't say I would come back due to room conditions. They really need to update. We paid over $200 for our last night there, which is very overpriced for a room in that condition.

We didn't have a deadbolt to our door. The parking lot is VERY small and not easy to maneuver. With that said, the fact that it's right on the beach and has a pool, it was a great vacation for my husband and I.

This place was an absolute DUMP! The room was beyond filthy, the \"on site\" parking wasn't even enough for half of their guests, not to mention the staff taking up many of the available spots, the staff at the desk were rude, dismissive and flat out LIARS.
I have video of the evening desk clerk showing and telling me it was ok to park in a specific place, then woke up to a note on my car threatening to tow it. When confronted, they denied it all. When told to watch the video, they just made excuses.
Our room was NEVER cleaned. We had to beg for fresh towels, sheets and even toilet paper.
There was hair in the shower, urine under the toilet, mold in the cabinets, and the floor was so dirty that our socks turned black. We had to wear flip flops in the shower just to keep from being disgusted.
I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.
Getting help was impossible as the desk staff was always either sleeping in their car or taking photos on the beach deck. But never available to take care of a guest.

Definitely call ahead to make sure amenities are working. Jacuzzi was not working. Staff was friendly and helpful even at late hours. Property is decent needs some updates an attention to little details. Beach view was amazing but gate to beach was not very secure a while I was in the jacuzzi other people were in there also saying they were not staying there but people knew it was a lax place. Overall I think it’s worth what I paid and would stay again. No shade on property and they did not have any umbrellas out. As well in the pictures they had small day bed areas and they did not have any day beds. Room was decent smelled clean and beds were comfortable. Close to restaurants and shops.

When we checked into the room, there was a large puddle of water leaking from humidifier due to cracked tank. Super small dorm fridge with shelves and door to freezer missing. Outlet cover was busted showing wiring. Hot tub was out of order entire week with the problem being as simple as, according to man at front desk, it needed a heating element. Guests washed their feet in pool causing sand to accumulate in the pool. All of these complaints were reported to desk manager within hour of checking in along with pictures. Only response from him was “really? Hmm”. I even asked for a different room preferably with a view of the ocean as opposed to a view of the peeling paint on wall. Said there would be a $50 to $60 increase… we were already paying way too much already. Also breakfast was a joke. Apples, stale muffins wrapped in Saran Wrap, few cartons of Activia yogurt and Tropicana you pour yourself from a half empty jug. The desk manager was of no help at all but the maid was good about bringing us towels to clean the water soaked floor from humidifier which had to be done every few hours. Thanks for that. The room had two queen beds with two small pillows in each bed. There were three pool towels and three bath towels. I would suggest bringing your own pillow and pool towels!! Our room key stopped working three times in a two day stay. The first time I was told my phone was demagnetizing them. I made it a point not to put it near my phone. The second time I was told the TV was demagnetizing them. I could understand if one key had a problem but both would not work!! When you have to take your dog out at 4:30 AM and can’t get back in your room it is very frustrating! I have traveled for 40+ years and have never been locked out of my room three times in one stay! Parking is very tight and depending on when you arrive it may be difficult for larger trucks etc. Breakfast was coffee, juice, fruit, small bite size muffin and yogurt.

Not all rooms have beach views. Hotel has potential, but I don't know if I'd stay there again until a few things are fixed. 5 Minutes in, toilet didn't flush. It was a simple fix and the front desk person came up right away. Nonetheless, it was an inconvenience to have to call someone to flush your dirty toilet. The shower wasn't draining and we showered with our legs spread over the drain so we weren't in standing water. Decor in the bathroom is good however, there's no counter space for your bathroom stuff. There WAS room to install even a small counter outside of the bathroom so it was a shame there wasn't anything. Like I said, it's got potential.

I was disappointed with the Lotus. The room was mostly clean but the furniture is extremely worn. The mattress was iffy. Slept on top with another blanket and bought my own pillow. The jacuzzi was out of service ( worn down looking ) the pool was not \"heated\" enough to go in. The view of the ocean was beautiful and beach access was nice. So we made the best of it. The staff was nice enough. And I will say the shower and bathroom were clean. Thank God! Will try another spot next time in Daytona.

From checking in to checking out was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel in my life! I booked a room for two adults and two children during spring break. I’ve booked it early, so there would be no issues with the room. I call them about my reservation and they seem very nice over the phone. Tell me yes I have my room available. This hotel is advertised as something it's not. Bad toilets, HOT TUB was BROKEN, it has not been completely renovated. There are things broken all over the property The staff were superb trying to help us. We were told the owner does not want to put money into it. Elevator went out, water backups. We talked to most people that were staying there and everyone was livid about the hot tub. Why wouldn't the property let us know. Our group came in from all over the country for a special time together. We were extremely disappointed. I hear the the owners would not do anything - but now they are cutting future rates. BUT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US ANYTHING BACK for the trouble . I think at least they could have comped 1 night of our stay. I have been a customer at this property several times in the past but will never go back. I do not recommend this to anyone. Look somewhere else.

The room was clean and the ocean view was excellent. All floors were tiled and the bathroom updated. The bed and furniture shows wear, was basic, but was all clean and comfortable. Basic continental breakfast with muffins, fruits, yogurt, orange juice, and many options of hot beverages. Very nice for a basic breakfast. Plus they had free cheese and crackers in the evening for a small snack. Its an small, older building with newer remodels and very clean. Beach wasn’t crowded either, which is a plus as well.

The bathroom was beautiful, but the hot tub was broken and the laundry was broken so I only paid 108 a night so it was worth it I guess but next time I’ll pay a little bit more and have stuff that works. Honestly the only complaint I had was the key card to get in the room didn’t work. Every time I tried to get in the room I had to go to the office .

Very clean for an older hotel. Right on the beach with a pool and hot tub. Let us use the facilities after we had to checkout so worked well for use on our one night stay. Would come back again if in the area.

Good things: oceanfront room, the room was clean, the patio was nice, the staff was pleasant and helpful

Things needing improvement: the bed was fair at best (not very comfortable); the pillows were too hard; the TV was among the smallest we’ve seen in a hotel room; we didn’t care for the overhead shower (it’s OK to have a shower head there but need one on the end too); breakfast was inferior, with few offerings and only bananas as fruit, to what we expected for the price paid.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of this motel. The room and grounds were poorly maintained, the furniture looked like it was picked up off the street, and the pillows had stains. The beds were full of sand and clearly not cleaned properly. Walls are paper-thin — you can hear everything. Breakfast was just a jug of juice and some muffins. Definitely not worth the stay.
