We just finished a 5-night stay at Dimitra Beach Hotel and had a mixed experience. The stunning views and clean, well-maintained hotel were highlights. However, the picturesque yet isolated location requires a vehicle, taxi, or bus for exploration.

This hotel is great for those seeking peace, but it’s not very family-friendly. Traveling with our 2-year-old, we found navigating the hotel challenging due to many stairs. Despite our request for a room closer to main areas, we were assigned a distant room since the hotel was fully booked.

We had heard about the repetitive and bland food, and unfortunately, that was our experience as well. The limited variety was disappointing.

The beach is beautiful but very stony, which makes it tough for kids or inexperienced swimmers. Beach shoes are essential. The swimming pools were decent but crowded, so securing a sunbed early is a must.

We addressed our concerns with reception, and they offered us dinner at two on-site restaurants and a late check-out, which we appreciated. Eirini, the public relations manager, handled our feedback professionally.

Overall, while Dimitra Beach Hotel it doesn’t feel like 5 stars hotel but it has lovely views and a pleasant stay, families should request rooms near the facilities and be ready for the stony beach. Thanks to Eirini's attentive service, we might consider returning.

Nice hotel with inconsistent service

Overall a good experience.
However the levels of service in the hotel are very inconsistent.
For example, many of the waiting staff at the bar are good, whereas the barmen at the pool were rude and frankly not very good at making drinks. Waiting staff in the restaurants make up a broad spectrum between excellent and lazy.
I wasn't expecting to love the stoney beach but i have to concede it was my favourite part of the hotel, with crystal clear water and drinks served to your beds.
The food is generally good, with a few exceptions. There is a cook who presides over freshly grilled meat and fish with an awful demeanour. He refused to set out freshly made calamari until the last of the previous scraps were taken.

This is our second time staying at the Dimitra Beach. We returned as we loved the hotel, the food and the relaxed pool area and amazing staff that made the trip so enjoyable. Beautiful resort - room could have been better

We had registered for 4 people, my husband and I, my 5 year old and my 2 year old. When we got to the room, there was no place for my children to sleep and we had to open a pull out couch and make the bed. We were told this was a mistake by the main office, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating the next day. Although the rooms were updated, my lamp shade was ripped and the room felt dated.

The room was clean and it was right next to the beach. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The only problem we had was the pools were always full, with people \"reserving\" the areas with their towels and then leaving the area.

However, overall, it was a very nice hotel and i would recommend it.

Fourth return so I think that speaks volumes.

Prettier than I remembered and for me as a solo traveller an excellent place to chill.

The only difference this time I went early season in April so it was less crowded and the air temperature cool.

Comfortable bed, good food, smiling faces from the staff. What really sells this place is it’s attractive design of the complex and it’s beautiful location under blue skies and to see a shimmering Aegean against the white buildings.

The Dimitra Beach Hotel shares a private beach with its sister hotel, the Michaelangelo. The view across the Agean to Turkey is amazing. The water is very clean, with sunbeds and shades along the beach. The choice and quality of food at the buffet was amazing - a big well done to the kitchen team. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. There is a regular bus service to Kos Town from outside the hotel - it is cheap and comfortable with aircon. The staff at the Dimitra are friendly, professional and I could tell they've been well trained. The prices for food and beverage if not all inclusive are reasonable. The house wines are very drinkable.

Absolutely fantastic family trip away. The hotel was beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. The food at breakfast and dinner was lovely (we were half board) and special mention to George who was so good at making us feel welcome and looked after.
I’d 100% return to this hotel, the views are beautiful, as was the pool area and the rooms lovely and everywhere kept clean and spotless at all times. Highly recommend thank you Dimitra from the Brander family

The first room we had was terrible. Extremely run done with rusty bathroom facilities. Staff were rude when we complained about the room. Don’t expect the tennis court there isn’t one and the gym is in the sister hotel. I think Expedia need to send someone to review the hotel and then update the description. Certainly not 5 star and definitely not as described.

The hotel is in a great location and easy to travel to from the airport. The accommodation is superb, very well equipped, clean and looks great and the bungalows are spread out so you have your own space. It has a few pools that tends to separate families with children from adults only, and the resort is directly on its own beach. The staff are amazingly helpful and the food is superb.

Beautiful accomodation, delicious variety of food, very clean, excellent staff, beautiful sea. The accomodation was separate to eating restaurants, so a walk to and from. The only downside was the strange music in the dining area during the evening, not very restful, shame as the food selection was amazing. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Stayed at Dimitra for 3 nights. Given a very nice room with stunning views for the balcony. We took the half board package. Good variety of food for both meals. Location quite remote but worth it if in need of relaxation or some quiet time. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Dimitra.

I wish the hotel had advertised that it was the last week of their season because it was closing down and getting less and less guests as the week went on. Initially the kids club ran but was closed for most of our holiday before I managed to get them to reopen it for us because I was not happy that they had not said on their website they would be closing it even though it was half term and we had therefore paid a premium. They also stopped cleaning and servicing some of the areas with sun beds and towels, which was annoying.

Wonderful stay, fantastic staff room needed update

we have just returned from a weeks stay at the hotel. So many good things to say.
The staff were wonderful, very attentive, we had a call to our room on our second day to check if everything was ok & if there was anything we needed. The bar manager also came up & shook our hands & checked that everything was ok.
The main restaurant was at some times quite busy and there was occasionally queues but the manager kept people informed of what was happening and got people to tables as quickly as possible. The choice of food was excellent, lots of fresh salads & vegetables every day with different local & international dishes. The desserts were particularly good.
Our room was a basic sea view comfort room. The bathroom was a little tired, I think it was due for an upgrade but the view & close proximity to one of the pools & the view made us decide not to ask to move.
A couple of tips, the hotel grounds, pools etc are in lots of different levels with several flights of stairs so choose your room carefully if you have mobility issues. Also book all inclusive, drinks & food could really add to the price of your holiday as there isn't really anywhere else that close to eat.

The hotel and grounds are nice, however some rooms have been updated and look lovely .
The rooms which are not updated are not 4 star, i don't think the hotel should sell itself as luxury when only part of it is 4star + and the other half is 3 star
The 2 bed apartments which have not been updated are very basic.
The bathroom really needs updating, the shower head needs to be fixed as it kept moving and drenching the floor, the shower curtain is not nice and old fashioned, the grouting in tiles is black round bath.The toilet was cracked and the seat is too small for the toilet base.
The main bedroom was fine however the 2nd bedroom was very poor, no mirror, 1 pillow per bed , beds only suitable for small child, and a small wardrobe, not luxury not even 3 star.
My booking was for 4 adults and the 2nd bedroom was really not suitable for an adult as the beds were too short and very uncomfortable.
I did advise reception of my problems and asked for 1 extra mirror but no one bothered to get back to me and I didn't want to spend my holiday complaining. The manager didn't really care and just avoided eye contact with me for the rest of the holiday
It is sad because the actual hotel is nice just, however the room is not.

Nice hotel at the beach

We had a nice one bedroom apartment with balcony looking out to sea towards Turkey. It was only a few minutes walk to the strip of beach with a row of very comfortable loungers. As a hotel guest it was good to see that we were not charged to use the loungers. The swimming pools were lovely, clean and well serviced by a bar and food at each one. The staff were very efficient and friendly coming around to take drinks orders so we didn't even need to get up. The all- inclusive was good value if you really like cocktails which were very refreshing.
Apart from the unfortunate timing of the earthquake in the middle of our holiday it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel in a quiet location

We have just spent the last 10 days at Dimitra Beach and we had a lovely stay.

We booked through Expedia. The room was not one of the recently refurbished ones - however it was not as bad as some of the reviews we read. The only thing is there were only 2 plug sockets which was a bit annoying. When we booked on Expedia we were unaware that some of the rooms had be recently refurbished as Expedia didn't provide that detail, however it does clearly state which rooms are on the Dimitra Beach website.

We stayed all inclusive which was excellent with a good selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The drinks that are included were a good variety too from iced coffee and tea to cocktails and wines. The staff around the pool taking orders for drinks were fabulous and so friendly!

The pools were very good and we didn't have to fight for a sun bed really. There was plenty of space.

Generally the room was clean upon arrival but there were a few times the duvet didn't have a cover on after the cleaning service had gone in. Also, the floor wasn't always swept and there was no milk in the room to go with the coffee and tea facilities. You could get milk at the small shop on site.

The evening entertainment was ok - Greek night was the best along with DJ night.

The wifi was not good and it was hard to get signal anywhere in the resort. That was only the criticism we had.

It was a great resort and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The family room bathroom was very old the tub has cracks, the sea is rocky from the shore it is impossible to get in without hurting your feet. The hotel is situated on a hill a lot of stairs so you have to be very fit to move around,
The food was great the place has great views the garden was excellently cared for

Perfect!

This was the right place at the right time! The staff were excelllent throughout the resort. Our bungalow on the beach was clean and tidy, and kept that way by the cleaning staff. Outstanding views and plenty of places to hang out and eat, sleep, read. Pebble beach but I swim rather than sit so some stones at the edge are not an issue. Easy to get around the resort.
Greek and Italian menus had to be booked but were well worth it. Someone somewhere else described the main eating area as a works canteen. Well, there was plenty to choose from and I ate everything so no complaints.
Car hire from the hotel came with some very good suggestions that didn't appear on the regular guide trips and the island is well worth touring. Fairly quiet at this time of year so perfect for travelling with nowhere being too busy.
We like every Greek island we have been to but would be happy to return to Kos and to the Dmitra Beach!

Nice hotel, very clean. Had a superior garden bungalow, very big and clean. No wifi in the room, signal is very poor and weak throughout the hotel, only receive at reception and beach! Room amenities are not regularly stocked, need to ask. Also one bottle of water left in the room but not replenished. Cocktails were not pleasant, very syrupy so stuck with beer.
It is in the middle of nowhere, would recommend hiring a car, if you'd like to see more of the island, however, if its a holiday with just sun and food that you're looking for, then this is the place.

What a wonderful resort! A+++++++

A wonderful report with warm and friendly staff who are always willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble. The facilities in the room were fantastic, as were the furnishings and the bed was SO comfortable. I was actually upgraded to a suite and was delighted with what I received. The food is fantastic with such a huge range of both Greek and International cuisine. The views were stunning, a clear view of the Turkish coast was enjoyed by myself and there is plenty of entertainment in the evening. The pools and sun terraces were immaculately clean and comfortable. I cannot recommend this resort enough!

The hotel is lovely, the staff great and the room very well designed and relaxing.
Kleo and Katerina looked after us very well in the restaurant each morning + evening.
The food in the buffet restaurant was nice, by the end of our 10 days we felt we had tried everything they had to offer.
However if you're there for a very peaceful, relaxing time without partying in the evening, make sure you don't have a room near to the main bar.
Most nights was karaoke, which we would never purposefully put ourselves in the vicinity of on any occasion, least of all on a relaxing holiday.
After the first night, i spoke with reception, who said entertainment went on until 12.30am usually. We negotiated that the volume was turned down after 11pm as it drowned out the television, which was set to a maximum level that can't disturb anyone This seemed odd as the bar music was so loud. We got the bus to Kos Town after 3 days of karaoke to buys earplugs!!!
It wasn't made clear that you had to pay for the Italian and Greek restaurants, just that you had to book in advance to eat there. The Greek was good food but we felt, overpriced for what we got. The Italian was very poor quality, we ordered what we thought was a vegetarian main course from the menu description, which had bacon in.
We did have a lovely holiday, the music did put a dampener on each evening as we had to call each time to ask for the volume reduction.

Erschreckend hoch war die Tourismusabgabe/ Kurtaxe die man zu Beginn zahlen musste: pro Tag pro Person 7,50€.

Die Zimmer waren dreckig und abgelebt. Einige Schranktüren und Schubladen (auch der Safe) ließen sich nicht benutzen oder öffnen. Duschkopf hat in alle Richtungen gesprüht. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit Strandblick. Leider waren täglich viele Ameisen und Krabbelkäfer im Zimmer. Am schlimmsten war es am Kühlschrank (trotz geschlossener Dosen-Getränke darin. Die Reinigungskräfte waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und haben sich bemüht die Tierchen täglich zu entfernen.

Am Buffet haben Wildvögel direkt am frischen Brot und Müsli mitgegessen - absolut unhygienisch! Im Hauptrestaurant gab es leider nur Saftkonzentrat. Cocktails haben nicht gut geschmeckt und wurden am Strand/ Sonnenliegen in Pappbechern serviert. Es wurde nie gefragt wie der Aufenthalt war oder ob es geschmeckt hat.

Schön waren die kostenlosen Ritualsprodukte im Zimmer (wenn der Seifenspender mal funktioniert hat) und täglich kostenloses Wasser. Liegeflächen am Strand und Pool waren auch ausreichend vorhanden.

Wir haben trotz Mängel schöne Tage verbracht, würden aber dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal besuchen.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which really made our holiday special. The food was delicious with plenty of variety. Das Areal ist sehr schön gestaltet, gut gepflegt und sehr nettes Personal. Ist jedoch nicht geeignet für Personen, die schwer gehen, da alles sehr weitläufig ist mit vielen Treppen. Aufgrund der Ziegen, die teilweise einen Besuch abstatten, liegt doch immer mal wieder wo eine Ausscheidung der Ziegen, Kakerlaken und Ameisen sind auch einige unterwegs - im Zimmer jedoch nicht. Hier wurde nur einmal die Zahnpasta von Ameisen besucht. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt und erholsamer Urlaub.

6 Tage Aufenthalt mit einer Freundin

Sehr schönes Hotels, die Zimmer sind ein Traum. Wir hatten einen Bugalow mit Meerblick. Leider waren die Mitarbeiter ziemlich motivationslos und nicht sehr freundlich. Wenn man bedenkt, dass es erst Juni war. Ich weiss nicht wie der Service in der Hochsaison sein wird. Das Essen war sehr lecker, leider jedoch meistens alles kalt. Wer gerne warm oder heiss isst, wird nicht so begeistert sein. Das Hotel hat sehr viele Treppen und ist wie ein Labyrinth. Wenn man gesundheitlich nicht so gut zu Fuss ist wird es sehr mühsam. Auch mit Kinderwagen nicht sehr vorteilhaft. Wir beobachteten viele Familien die den ganzen Kinderwagen die Treppen hochschleppen mussten. Noch ein Pluspunkt ist, man hat gleich die Busstatiion für auf Kos vor dem Hotel. Ein Weg kostet nur 2 Euro pro Person.

Très bel hôtel, jolies piscines.
Nourriture diverse et variée très bonne pour un all inclusive. Restaurant grec et italien à la carte top.
Cocktails très bon, dommage pour le jus de orange le matin au petit déjeuner qui est presque imbuvable…
Plage de cailloux, prévoir les chaussures de plage.
Un peu éloigné de l’aéroport, environ 40min en taxi ..

Ich war nicht ganz glücklich mit unserem Zimmer, der Office Front Manager ( Michaelos) hat uns am nächsten Tag 2 alternative Zimmer plus die Nachbaranlage gezeigt, um DAS Zimmer zu finden. Das nenne ich Kundenbindung, vielen Dank an der Stelle!
Wir haben uns einen Mietwagen genommen, um die Insel zu erkunden. Nach Kos fährt alle 30 Minuten ein Bus ( 2 Euro p.P./ Dauer ca. 20 Minuten) Ca. 30 Minuten ( schnelles Laufen) entfernt befindet sich die Therme.
Fahrt vom Flughafen zum Hotel ca. 30 Minuten.
Der Servicegedanke war bei ALLEN Mitarbeitern an erster Stelle! Toll!
Trotz Corona ( jeweils ein Mitarbeiter füllt jedem einzelnen Gast den Teller mit den Speisen, die gewünscht sind) hat das Team es geschafft, recht schnell den Ablauf zu bewältigen und das Ganze auch noch mit einem Lächeln! Mehr ist wohl nicht zu sagen. Die Qualität war herausragend! Alles war sehr lecker! Sehr positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass das Fischangebot sehr gut war, was nicht immer der Fall ist.
Die Poolanlagen waren sehr gepflegt. Wellness war keine angeboten. Die Kurse Stretching und Pilates kann ich sehr empfehlen! Der Tennisplatz war leider in keinem guten Zustand:( Ganz besonders hat unseren Kindern das Volleyballfeld gefehlt. Zu Sommerurlaub gehört einfach Volleyball. Vielleicht geht da ja noch etwas:)

Die Anlage ist sehr schön, sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Leider hatte es zuwenig Liegen an den Pools, so dass die Gäste um 05.30 Uhr angefangen haben die Liegen zu reservieren. Um 08.30 hatte man keine Chance mehr auf eine Liege. Die meisten Gäste hatt all inklusive gebucht, wir haben bewusst darauf verzichtet um ein bisschen flexibler zu sein. Leider hat man auch als zahlender Gast die billig gemixten Drinks für die all inkllusive Gäste erhalten. Sowas darf in einem 5 Sterne Hotel nicht passieren. Ansonsten kann ich das Hotel in jeder Beziehung empfehlen.

Die Aussicht war einfach nur traumhaft, zudem hat man von fast überall aus Meersicht.

Repas excellents à base des produits frais de la région ainsi qu’une grande prise en compte des intolérances alimentaires (gluten, lactose, ect)
Service all inclusive impressionnant de choix et de qualité. Personnel absolument charmant et ultra réactif. Vue sur la mer quel que soit le logement choisi... prévoir tout de même une voiture car l'hôtel n’est pas tout proche de kos et autres villes mais reste idéalement situé, dans un cadre idyllique.

cifte rezervasyon yapmışlar deniz kenarında oda tutmuştum bunu icinde bayagı fiyat farkı vardı benim odamı başkasına vermisler,bana arka tarafta bir oda verdiler birde utanmadan sizi daha büyük odaya aldık dediler,itiraz edincede bugün kalın yarın sizi deniz kenarındaki odanıza alalım dediler ertesi gün saat 13:00 asıl kalmam gereken odaya gecirdiler zaten 2 gün kalıyordum tatilim zehir oldu. Birde sürpriz yapmış deniz kenarında oda tutugumu söylememiştim,o sürprizimde rezil oldu.

Fint sted for familieferie! Hotellet har 3 bassengområder, kort vei til strand, håndkleutleie, vask og skifte av håndklær hver dag, tilbud om pilates, stretching og vanngym daglig, spa utendørs og generelt god mat og hyggelig betjening. På nabohotellet har man tilgang til fotballbane (kunstgress), tennisbane og innendørs spa (Anbefaler en time hos Elefteria på spaet!) Det eneste lille minuset var at sengene var litt harde et vår smak....

Sauberkeit der Zimmer war nicht sehr gut. Mussten drei Nächte in einer dreckigen Bettwäsche schlafen. Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert und wir hatten nur selten heiße duschen. Buffet war sehr reichhaltig, Personal wirkte teilweise sehr gestresst und überfordert aber sehr freundlich. Hotelanlage war sehr sauber und der Strand war gut ausgestattet. Hotel wirbt mit Whirlpool und Sauna, ist aber nur gegen Aufpreis im Partnerhotel zu verwenden. Flughafen ist nur mit Taxi gegen Aufpreis von 45 Euro zu erreichen.

מלון מדהים ברמה גבוהה מאוד, ארוחות מגוונות, בריכה ענקית, נוף עוצר נשימה.
המלון בנוי כמו כפר נופש אין צורך וחשק בכלל לצאת מהמלון, מתאים לזוגות מאוד, שקט אבל דיי מרוחק מהעיר, כדאי להשכיר רכב.
