didn't like to be charged for a child's hot cocoa for breakfast. also, it should have been noted that swim caps must be worn in the pool- which they charged for also. just felt like we were 'nickle and dimed' between the cocoa and swim caps.

A well located hotel, in close proximity to the town, with ample free parking. Our dinner was of a good standard. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. The rooms are spacious, with adequate storage, and a decent sized shower/toilet. We found everything to be clean and our bed was comfortable. All good so far. The disappointment is the breakfast. The food itself wasn't too bad, our complaint is regarding the service and the system. Firstly, they do sittings. Now that's new to me, I've never had to book a half hour window for breakfast. Initially I wondered if this might ehance our experience, assuming it meant the restaurant would be prepared for the numbers. Therefore the food stations would be fully stocked and there would be sufficient servers to make our dining experience positive. Not so. When you arrive at your designated time you are pretty much ignored as the staff continue to clear tables, and reset for what looks to be for lunch. Eventually someone shows you to a table. On both mornings we were chaperoned to a table that wasn't reset for breakfast. So we'd no menu. One cup but 2 guests. No butter or milk. The food stations were not replenished, no pancakes nor brown bread, no croissants or yogurt, no cereal bowls. The fruit salad consisted only of apple. There were no side plates, and no-one came to take a tea/ coffee or toast order. We had to go ask. Your system doesn’t works guys. We've had better in fast food outlets.

The property is extremely old looking and run down. You were next to a mixed looking neighborhood. The front desk staff were pleasant but I would NOT recommend staying here. We needed a hotel between Trim Castle and Rock of Cahir, after a long day and this was the \"best\" I could find. I would not go back and wouldn't recommend it even for just an overnight.

Hotel situated a km away from town centre. Limited parking out front but large parking out back.
Room comfortable and clean, with cot as requested.
Service in the reception and restaurants was very good.
Food tasty though some cleanliness concerns.

Leisure centre was great! And the food choices were brilliant, catered really well for non dairy and gluten free diet for dinner and breakfast.

The staff could not be nicer!

An issue arose while dining in the bar but it was quickly resolved.

Warra ts a return visit.

My only gripe is the carpet in the bedroom, looks like someone spilt bleach in different spots. And no need for the brown throw

4-Star Rating is MISLEADING.

The room looks nice. Reception staff, Pool staff and Restaurant staff are all nice and friendly. Stayed at Room 316, so I cannot rate on other rooms but shower is leaking to the side. Pillow was stinky and very dirty, smells like someones sweat, it’s disgusting!
On the table are 2 glasses with handprints in it with an empty bottle of water! Bed linens full of stains. Slippers both left, I have a right foot too guys!

The Killeshin is a very nice hotel.

Our room at the Killeshin was very clean with nice amenities. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. There were no electrical receptacles bedside for my CPAP machine but staff quickly provided me with an extension cord. We purchased the made to order breakfast @ 11 Euros which was well worth the money.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The rooms are generous with comfortable beds, good bathrooms and my favourite toiletries. The food is very good: breakfast has lots of hot and cold options with tea and coffee. If you want a latte or cappuccino then the small cafe in the foyer has them with an excellent selection of cakes and pastries. The only thing I would have changed was the toilet tissue in the room, a little thin for me and not as good as that in the public areas. Otherwise I can highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

When we booked the property it was mainly because there was a pool, spa and sauna listed on the facilities. When we arrived, it’s actually simply a public leisure centre attached to the hotel which guests can use. There were over 50 kids having swimming lessons and it was unbearably noisy. Couldn’t use the facilities. The staff were nice but I definitely wouldn’t stay again

Lovely staff and nice foyer but unfortunately that's were it ends. The carpet in the hotel bedroom was very badly stained as well as other parts of the hotel. Duvet and pillows very thin and mattress lumpy.
Seating and tables in the bar/restaurant were in terrible condition. Bar area was cold due to air con.
We were asked at reception what time we would like to have breakfast the next morning. Having stated our preferred time we arrived at the dining room where no tables were available. Overspill of guests were accommodated in the bar area but no tables set with cutlery or condiments. Hotel unfortunately was let down by tired furnishings.😞 Needs updated.

Good value ovenight stop-over

Comfortable hotel not far off the motorway. Good overnight stop. The main restaurant was closed (mid week) but there was another dining option in the bar. While a bit noisy as there were TV's on, the menu was OK and the food, both the bar menu & the Breakfast was tasty & well cooked. I felt the hotel was good value for the standard. We would stay again.

The property is lovely but you do need transport to find eating places around if yiu dont want to eat in the hotel. There, really isnt much around the property but well maintained, food great and staff great. One thing i will say, is that they tell you to use the bath mat in the shower. Definitely use this as the bath is extremely slippery.

We stayed here on our last day in Ireland. We'd already spent time in Dublin and we're coming in from Killarney. This hotel was very reasonably priced $150 or so Euros, and was recently renovated, with a nice pool and Spa.

We picked it b/c it had good reviews and was a short drive to Dublin Airport.

The facilities were nice, people friendly. They had some sort of autorally race event when we were there, so we saw some cool cars.

Took a taxi downtown, it was a bank holiday so it was pretty crowded. Went to a few bars and saw some live music. (Not folk , but foo fighters cover band).

So in all, great value, close to airport (30 min drive) and fun town.

Arrived around 1930 and the restaurant looked really busy so decided to order room service and do some work in my room - took nearly 30 minutes to get someone in room service to answer the phone and even then it was a call back after reception had sent someone over to ask them to call me back

Choose this hotel in the way to Bantry. It was very comfortable, the pub restaurant served an excellent meal for us even though it was almost closing time for them. The room was nice, clean and comfortable my only issue with it is the disposable cups for the tea and coffee, not sure why they are not normal reusable cups. We were meeting friends in Portlaoise for food, so did not eat in the hotel, but a had a few drinks in the bar and the staff there were great. Overall it is a nice hotel, it is kept clean and they have lovely staff, but our stay was overpriced for what it was. I would stay again but not at the price we paid.

We booked family room to spend happy time with my toddlers. I clearly checked about TV before booking the hotel, its available. But i cant get tv code as the staff were saying it was not smart tv though it was smart one. Not even rte channels worked. Terrible experience.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We actually vooked a table at the restaurant for the day we arrived. When we got to the restaurant there was in a 2 person table for a family of 4. The foid however was very good and enjoyable. The room was cleaned very well even though we only stayed for 2 nights.

Photos for this hotel are very misleading. I presume they were taken 20 years ago. This is definitely not a 4-star experience. The food and restaurant service was good but the check-in experience was not pleasant and the pool and rooms are very poor quality.

They don’t tell you that pool has to be booked in advance the pool was booked out for a week in advance but after complaining they got us in, but pool was dirty, steam room and jacuzzi both broken no signs up.
Service for food and drinks was absolutely shocking this stay was not good value for money really disappointed overall
