The team was like a family supporting each other in a small 9 bedroom hotel. We felt like a part of the family.
Nothing a problem even the night manager checked availability for yoga on a Sunday morning.

If I had one thing they could improve it would be some extra space in the bathroom. There wasn’t much room to hang a towel and arrange toiletries for 2. Definitely stay again should we go to Kochi

It was a lovely stay thank you, we were most welcomed. Key for us was the hotel's willingness to cook meals that were nut and egg free, as one of our party has serious allergic reactions to these. The cook met us at each meal to say what could be accommdated and what needed to be avoided, which wasn't much via their adjustments. Lovely meals too. Would highly recommend!

Tissa's Inn is a wonderful hotel decorated with beautiful artwork and antiques. When you arrive you are greeted by warm wonderful people and a fruit punch. The room is large, well appointed and very comfortable. The location is extremely convenient. You can walk to the cultural center, Chinese fishing nets, plenty of shopping, and restaurants.
The pool on the roof is surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs. The restaurant is outstanding! Chef Biju uses fresh ingredients (fish caught that day), comes to your table to talk to you about your options, and creates incredibly delicious meals. We ate there several nights because of the quality and variety.
Truly, Tissa's Inn is a beautiful accommodation, but the best thing about Tissa's Inn are the people. Sanitha, the reservation manager, made sure our stay was magical from the moment we walked through the door. Everyone who worked there was kind. We would not consider staying anywhere else when we return!

My stay at Tissa's Inn was fabulous. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable and COLD. Entire staff were kind, attentive and so interested in making our stay with them memorable. We arrived after the kitchen closed and were starving - the chef returned after leaving to make us dinner. I mentioned it was my birthday and they surprised me with a delicious cake and serenade. Breakfast and Dinner options were excellent. Perfectly located - walking distance to everything. I would absolutely return. Highly recommend.

This stay was amazing. The hotel is close to lots of tourist areas and well situated It was clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble for them. The chef was happy to prepare us wonderful meals. Sunita especially was kind and attentive, and she helped us with a lot of our questions. If she couldn’t help directly, she was sure to signpost us to someone who could! We felt extremely welcomed and I would recommend anyone staying in this area to stay here!

We stayed at Tissa's for 3 nights and it was so memorable. The three women who work the front desk are incredibly kind and helped us with whatever we needed (transportation, walking tour, laundry, massage, etc.). The chef makes delicious Keralan food (particularly liked his fresh caught fish - tell him ahead of time!). Breakfast in particular was delicious - always with a new Keralan option and a continental option.

The location was good - a few minutes away from the busy tourist area and in a more local community, but still close to everything.

Our only real issue is that the WiFi does not carry over to the rooms, although it's accessible from the common area right next door. We ended up hotspotting, when needed.

We would absolutely stay there again!

Really enjoyed staying here, a beautiful grand old mansion with lovely art. Excellent food both at breakfast and dinner.
Walking distance to the town though Tuktuk drivers may hassle you to use them.
But what really makes this place are the staff, run by 3 lovely ladies who are just the right mix of friendly and helpful.
Dry hotel but there is a bar about 50m away!
Would highly recommend and is well priced.

Our trip encompassed six weeks of travel throughout India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Tissa’s Inn is my favorite of all the hotel properties that we stayed in! The hotel staff is amazing, where we were truly embraced as family. They helped organize a couple of incredible excursions to see the Kerala area, and experience its rich cultural heritage. Our dining experience was off the charts fantastic! Their on staff chef, Biju, is an excellent cook who came out of the kitchen to discuss menu choices with us…tailoring our meals to suit us individually. I honestly can’t recommend this truly special hotel, and its staff highly enough!

Tissa's is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are immaculate and have antique or antique-style furnishings. Lots of nice art in the halls. The hotel has a very good and tasty restaurant and they were excellent about personally adapting things to our vegan diet. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We liked being just a short walk from the Kerala Kathakali Center where we saw wonderful kathakali and odissi dance. There were some difficulties with the internet, but we would stay at Tissa's again.

Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the friendly Sanitha and Christina. They both made my trip more interesting with their advices & tips about the city ,shops,restaurants are within walking distance. Sanitha sent me a car to Pick me up to the Cochin airport. She answered all the emails and reassure me not to worry as I was a female solo traveling. The breakfast was included and delicious!! Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

This hotel is decorated with the most beautiful pieces. The staff are extremely welcoming and kind. They can help you arrange rides, exchange money, pick out saris from their in house collection, and give you local recommendations - they really made our stay!

The breakfast was excellent with western and Indian options & enough to fill you.

Rooms were furnished nicely with strong AC and comfy beds.

You are a short distance from Jew Town (in an auto) and Vasco Square … great location.

This hotel is great for families, couples, or solo travelers! I can’t wait to return!

The staff was very nice but I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s not good value for the money. The Internet connection didn’t work properly for both days we were there despite the numerous tries by the staff. The bathroom also wasn’t very well planned as there wasn’t a separation between the shower area and the toilet (so every time the shower was used there was water on the floor next to the toilet). If the hotel was priced around $50, I would say it was okay; but the price with taxes was around $150 per night which didn’t provide the expected quality for that money.

Faultless stay at this lovely hotel. Tissa's Inn is a delightful establishment in the heart of Fort Kochi. The rooms are immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. This was comfortable hotel and the room was lovely with high quality furniture. The staff were attentive and helpful. We assumed from the hotels.com website that alcohol would be available in the hotel apart from on the first day of the month. However, this was not true. You can buy your own alcohol and drink it on the rooftop terrace but not inside the hotel. The food in the restaurant was OK but we ate at other local hotels that served better food.

I was very happy with the location and service. The pool is a nice amenity to have after walking all day. Breakfast is decent, although the one salad I had one night for dinner at their restaurant was not good, but I gave the feedback to the chef and he understood. The salad was supposed to have pineapple and it did not, when I brought this to their attention I was brought a bowl with huge pineapple squares and was tossed on top of it.
Other than that, all good.
I will be back to this hotel for sure.

Fabulous boutique hotel, excellent restaurant!

Tissa’s Inn is a unique hotel with spotless comfortable well appointed rooms, attentive staff, great location central to all Fort Cochin has to offer. The hotels decor is punctuated with antique furnishings, art, sculptures and interesting treasures creating a wonderful tranquil atmosphere. There is a bonus rooftop terrace with a pool, lounge chairs, tables and yoga matts. The restaurant meals were absolutely delicious. Jerry is a great chef and gave us complimentary cooking lessons each evening at our request. He modified ingredients for our dietary restrictions without compromising the Keralian flavours. The staff treated us like royalty, and met all of our needs with grace and style. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night. The room was very clean and had all the basic amenities. It's not a swanky hotel or boutique type establishment. It's comparable to a nicer Holiday Inn. Breakfast was full board. Easy walking distance to St. Francis church and Chinese fishing nets. Easy tuktuk ride to Jew Town.

What a cute place! They really created a gem of a place - small hotel, well maintained, staff is outstanding (seems like most work there for a long time), chef is character (will make you any dish you want), many people we met spoke highly of the place, one couple came here again after many years and ordered same dish. It’s well appointed and a lot is around. We took Tuk Tuk as we got sick over the course of the trip. But we could have walked to many spots. Noisy street but they build the place so that you cannot really heat anything. Only minus was that we did not have got water. But we needed it at a weird hour and we don’t think it is a recurring issue. Well decorated place with some antiques. Very reasonably priced for a place like this.

The very friendly staff greeted us with a welcome drink and offered a room upgrade. The room was a good size and very comfortable. However, we were surprised that there was no fridge in the room which was a little inconvenient.

The hotel has a small restaurant offering a selection of good southern and northern Indian food as well as locally caught fresh fish. The pool on the roof is a small but a very pleasant place to relax.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Chinese Fishing Nets and there are Tuk Tuks passing all the time. We took a Tuk Tuk tour that was really quite fun and showed us some local sites we would never have found on our own,

The stay was awesome. All the staff and receptionists were very friendly and maintained a good environment.As everything was going fine, the Chef Incharge of the restaurant was very calculative in serving. He would only serve one dish among all the options and if we asked for the second dish he would just not react and in fact stare at us as if we are staying there for free. He also would serve tea or coffee only once and if u asked for it second time then he behaved very badly. But all the other staff was very generous and helping.

The staff were great when we arrived and the chef came to ask if we'd like to order. We did as it was quite late. The food in the hotel was nice enough but as it's a hotel it is expensive in comparison to local restaurants. Our room was lovely and big, bathroom is good only thing I'd say is bed is very hard so if you're used to a soft bed it takes some getting used to. The pool was great and we often had it to ourselves which was great. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and cleaners very good. One thing to grumble - we were disappointed with laundry service as it came back still wet two days later than expected. Altogether we are very happy with our stay and would recommend.

We booked a room for a family of 4 and were provided with 2 extra beds for our kids, one of which we had to pay extra for. The hotel is centrally located and all the main attractions can be accessed by foot or tuk-tuks.

If you like small hotels with lovely decor and a good restaurant Tissa's Inn is a good choice. You can walk to many sights or take a short Tuktuk ride. Staff are extremely helpful. Rooftop in early morning is very peaceful too. P

A wonderful stay at Tissas Inn

We loved everything about Tissas Inn. It was very clean and well appointed with art, antiques and furniture. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, including making sure we got to the airport on time, when there was a widespread strike (with packaged up breakfast!). The food in the restaurant is excellent and served with a smile. I can highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel.

Comfort in Cochin

Hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and we were pleasantly surprised to find our driver waiting for us with a sign as soon as we left from the luggage pickup area. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, decor and stylings of the hotel. Very relaxing after a very long trip from Manila. We had the complimentary Masala Dosa for breakfast and it was excellent! Sooooo good!! I'm still thinking about it. :) The staff were very accommodating and even invited us into the kitchen to show us how they make the dosa. Thank you so much for making our first night in Kerala so pleasant and memorable!

Good small hotel in a vibrant city.

We enjoyed our two nights at Tissa's Inn very much. It is a friendly, centrally located small hotel. The service in the dining room was good, as was the food. The reception staff were excellent. The cleanliness could have been better and we had to ask late in the afternoon, for our rooms to be made up even though we had been out all day. Bed was comfortable and lighting good. I would stay again. Terrible hotel map provided, very unhelpful.

Great service, great breakfast. Quiet. Small pool. Wi-Fi in lobby only. Easy to walk around to local highlights it get a very cheap tuk tuk driver for 1/2 a day. Perhaps a touch spendy for the area.

Stolen items

I had a pair of shoes stolen from my luggage. The hotel responded to my first email saying they would look into it and then did not reply to follow up emails. So not only was my suitcase opened and items removed, they refused to communicate with me on it either.

Wish we were not fighting with mosquitoes

Pros: Location was perfect to explore the town. Welcome drink was good, staff was generally nice.

Cons:
Rooms were fairly small, with tons of mosquitos. TV in the room was a joke, no wifi in rooms. Wifi in the lobby was also barely usable.

Food in the restaurant was ok, morning tea was almost cold (even after sending the first cup back).

Conclusion:
Tissa's Inn was one of the highest rated hotels in the area. This experience compelled me to write a review.

Calm spot in Fort Cochin

Wonderful ladies Christina and Sunitta couldn't have been more helpful, very patient and welcoming. Changed our room when our son was ill, then added a bed when our daughter arrived unexpectedly. Helped us with our travel plans. Breakfast good, dinner not the best, but may have been unlucky. Pool on the roof a real oasis. All staff really charming, chef bit pushy for our tast.

Nice hotel situated centrally in Fort Kochi

Friendly welcoming helpful staff. Only slight issue arose in the restaurant where we experienced vigorous 'upselling' of some quite costly seafood items by the staff. Food and service was excellent.

Amazing place. Great staff. Best chef and food

We kicked off our honeymoon here and it was glorious. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast made by the ever entertaining and enthusiastic chef. Be adventurous and have the traditional Kerala breakfast, it's awesome.
