Lovely hotel, oozes history

We had a great stay in the Scandic. Lovely hotel with lovely staff. There is real sense of history in this hotel, they have retained the old dining room layouts and decor even though there was a bad fire in the 40s. Excellent breakfast, quiet comfortable room.

Excellent stay, room and amenities were as listed and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was an excellent spread and seating was in a beautiful dining space.
Molde jazz festival was in full swing and VERY loud but was outside the property. If not for the event, the stay would have been peaceful. This is not a detractor for the hotel, but be mindful to check local events when booking.

Misleading pictures

The hotel doesn’t look like the pics on Hotels.com. There is no sauna as advertised on the website neither the view is the same. Is not that close to the weather. The hotel is lacking on character but it’s comfortable and breakfast is good.

Overall we found it overpriced for what it says it offers since many amenities where not there

Nice hotel, unfortunate room placement.

The hotel was in good condition, a good location in Molde, and the breakfast was very good. The main thing that was unfortunate was that it was clear that there weren't a lot of people staying at the hotel (COVID and holiday period with lots closed) and we paid for a superior room, but instead of being on the side of the hotel with a wonderful view of the water and mountains, we were placed in a room that had an interior view of two ugly parking lots, the neighboring building and some sort of employee breakroom. In hindsight, I should have asked to be moved, but with such a nice location and for the upgraded costs the hotel really should put guests on the side that allows them to enjoy the natural beauty.

Clean room, with amazing views. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.

Only issue was the breakfast, most \"warm\" food had gone cold, and the cappuccino from the coffee machine lacked flavour qnd was also cold.

The rooms on the floor we were on are not sound proof so you hear kids and people while walking in the corridor. The doors need to pulled tightly shut to make sure they close properly.

Enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and tidy and good size for family of four. Check-in/out was easy and pleasant. Breakfast had a good selection of food and was very good.
In a good location with shops/restaurants in the area.

Var der for å gå på brygga å høre på Finn Erlandsen, meget bra opplevelse. Litt skuffet over at kjøleskapet på rommet ikke fungerte og at baren ikke var åpen, men ikke noe stort problem..! Takk for oppholdet.!

Greit hotell hvis du ikke bryr deg om hvordan hotellets tilstand er i, prima utsikt så lenge det ikke kommer cruiseskip å legger seg til. Fart å spenning gjennom kvelden da vinduet peker.mot noen av de nydlige 222 fjell toppene møre å romsdal har å by på. Men ræggen går da vi hørte gromme 3l og v8ere freste forbi gjennom natten. Alt i alt ok for forbi passerende på norgesferie. Ræva og du skal være der en stund

Todagers opphold med to barn.

Bra hotell midt i Molde sentrum. Stort pluss at rommet hadde balkong. Fine fellesområder og meget god frokost. Rommet fremstod noe slitt.

Mycket trevligt hotell!

Vi (familj på fyra vuxna) bodde tre nätter i en master svit. Funkade hur bra som helst. Bäddsoffan i vardagsrummet hade dock sett sina bästa dagar och var rätt utsliten. Gnisslade och lutade in mot mitten men var hanterbart. Frukosten var fantastisk! Iskaffe, mycket frukt och många olika sorters bröd och pålägg att välja mellan. Tyvärr var inte frukosten ett tillval en i familjen som har problem med olika mat hittade ingenting att äta. Det ska ändras efter sommaren fick vi veta då frukost blir ett tillval. Fantastisk utsikt från rummet och mycket båtaktivitet precis utanför. Balkongerna behöver fräschas upp då de kändes väldigt nedgångna och slitna. Över lag ett mycket trevligt hotell som är lugnt och stilla med världens finaste utsikt (om vädret tillåter). Skulle definitivt bo där igen!

Slitt hotell med støy fra traffikert vei og gågate.
Ingen air condition så det ble varmt. Sengene var ikke spesielt imponerende.

Eneste som var negativt på rommet var ingen kjøleskap,ingen vannkoker med mulighet for kaffi/te. Ekstremt varmt på natten,ingen aircondition....kunne ikke late opp vinduet pga støy/biler. Personalet, frokost og renhold var supert :)

Great view through the window from the sea side room. Centrally located, easy to walk around the city. Rich breakfast. Rooms were spacious and quiet, beds comfortable. Good parking options.
