I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Thon Hotel Moldefjord in Molde, Norway, and I'm delighted to share my positive experience. The hotel truly impressed me with its exceptional cleanliness. From the lobby to my room, everything was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. What truly stood out, however, was the incredible helpfulness of the staff. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to assist with any request. Their warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Thon Hotel Moldefjord to anyone visiting Molde!

Listing is inaccurate on services. Gym is 10 minute walk, not onsite. Parking is actually paid street parking and EV charging station is malfunctioning. Not the cleanest or quietest hotel but otherwise reasonable.

Nice hotel with some poor design aspects

Nice hotel with good location. The toilet is incredibly small and not well positioned. It therefore cannot be used as intended as the toilet is too close to the wall. One has to sit sideways to use the toilet. This is a basic design concept and it is shocking to see it done so poorly. The staff were excellent L, very friendly and helpful.

Not used to hotels with only a narrow twin bed and though I booked a queen, it was two twin beds pushed together with two different comforters. It was quite comfortable regardless. Very clean, convenient location for shopping, walking around, and many restaurants. I would come back.

Convenient hotel for a 1 night \"pit stop\" on our 2 week road trip around Southern Norway.
Clean and today, friendly staff.
Only downside was limited parking spaces, although the reception desk was super helpful in pointing us to a free parking location a little walk away.
Would have a stunning sea view with mountains in the distance if it wasn't for the massive cruise liner parked on the dock directly outside!

A nice htl, central placed in Molde. I had a room close to emergency staircase, noisy and could smell scrabbled egg at 05:00 when kitchen started to prepare breakfast. Also my room had a connection door to next room, so I could easily hear neighbor next-door. Service at the hotel and breakfast were very good. Cleanliness good, a bit small single room. If I have to stay for more then one night I will choose a double room. Rating in total 4

Very friendly service, good breakfast (even under Covid-19 circumstances) and a very central location in a beautiful town. Only complaint is that there are very few free parking spaces for guests, and therefore had to hurry out at 8am and purchase a permit for a public parking spot in order to avoid a hefty fine.

The hotel has a great location, right on downtown and next to the Hurtigruten pier!
The staff was nice and friendly, the hotel is a bit outdated. Breakfast is served next door at a restaurant.

We chose this hotel strictly because we needed a stop over to get to another location. We have been traveling Norway for 2 weeks and have enjoyed every location. This is an industrial town. Nothing to do around it as far as we could see. It surved it purpose but don't make it a destination spot.

Surprised at how nice hotel was!

Traveling through Norway with friends. Lovely room with view of water and mountains. (That evening, however, view of cruise ship). Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Free parking. Would definitely stay again and try other hotels in chain.

Fjord views, great staff, comfortable stay.

One of the best mid-range hotel stays I have had in a long time, mainly thanks to the staff, the facilities, the view, everything, really. Super comfortable bed and pillow, working WiFi, fridge, soft towels characterised the room – although, sadly, finding TV channels was tricky. Breakfast plentiful. Communal computer free to use and free to print from, handy with Norwegian Air's 24-hour check-in rule. Overlooking the water, close to Molde's modest attractions.

Good hotel, great staff but small rooms

Hotel was clean and nice, but rooms were very small (I´m a 191 cm guy, felt very cramped). TV a bit small also and was to the side of the bed, not in front of it. The girls in the front office were very friendly. Location is good (on the water) but its a bit pricey for such a small room ($200). All hotels in Molde are however pricey.

Ute plassen, dårlig til å rydde bord og andre ting f.eks. begynte å regne ingen som tok inn tepper i regnværet. Kort stund etter kom sola ingen som kom å tørket av bordene. Savnet ei søppel kasse inne på ute området. Ellers veldig hyggelig sted, vi kommer gjerne igjen. Dette gjelder Egon sin uteplass som hotell gjestene brukte. God mat og god frokost.

Clients sur la terrasse de l’hôtel qui font du bruit jusqu'à 3h00 du matin. Clientèle saoule qui crie sans qu’un vigile intervienne. Parking payant 2h00 maxi et assez chère. Pas de climatisation afin de fermer les fenêtres pour être au calme. Dommage car le bâtiment est assez chique.

Heil ok rom; to små rom satt samen til et oppholdsrom og et soverom med dusj.
Det er veldig trangt: dusj vegg kjem heilt inn i toalettet so en må faktisk sitte sidelengs om du er over 1.70 høy.....
Vi hadde rom rett i gaten, en del støy fram til midnatt- selv om midtveke.
Stoler var ikke propisjonert ift bord: lavt bord, høye stoler- ubekvem sittestilling.
Nydelig god frokost i Egon sine lokaler.

Enregistrement un peu en avance, pratique.
Mini vue sur la ville depuis le 8ème étage cours intérieure.
Bouilloire, fer à repasser, sèche cheveux, coffre.
Chambre microscopique par contre.
Surtout la salle de bain, accès aux WC par contorsion. Odeur canalisations....
Rideaux occultants trop léger pour bien dormir sans masque de nuit, dommage.
Isolation acoustique pour bruit de l'extérieur pas terrible.

Sehr schönes Hotel in Molde und ruhiges Zimmer.
Ein gutes Frühstück und liegt direkt am Hafen und an der Promenade. Leider sind am Hotel zu wenig Parkplätze. Aber in ca. 700 Meter Entfernung befindet sich ein Parkhaus das man gesehen haben muss. Es wurde richtig in den Berg hineingebaut.

Skulle sova en natt men pga stormen Hans kunde vi inte fortsätta ( vi åkte motorcykel )
Receptionen va extremt hjälpsam och löste så vi kunde stanna kvar två nätter extra. Mkt bra service och frukosten på Egon är väldigt bra. Kan verkligen rekommendera hotellet.

Et meget lille værelse.

Et fint hotel, men værelset var lille. Slet ikke den standard, som har været på andre Thon hoteller vi har overnattet på. Der var kun 5 gratis parkeringspladser ved hotellet, hvilke er al alt for lidt. Tror det kostede 35 Nkr. i timen før kl. 20. Morgenmaden var rigtig fin. Der var meget varmt i værelset - fuld knald på badeværelsets gulvvarme, hvilket er helt unødvendigt. Tunge, tunge dyner og uspændende hovedpuder.

Kort opphold med min datter. Var lite på hotellet men trengte hjelp med å avbestill taxi på morgenen vi skulle dra og det fikk jeg til tross for at det skaffet de i resepsjonen litt hodebry. Det var jeg som hadde vært klønete ved å bestille en taxi som det viste seg jeg ikke hadde behov for så: Takk for det!
Frokost enkel pga oppussing, men til vårt behov denne gangen var det helt greit.

Gode senger. Fin utsikt ut over fjorden.

Veldig små og trange bad (både på dobbeltrom og enkeltrom som vi hadde) - kunne med fordel ha brukt en halvmeter til av soverommet der.

Frokost på Egon helt grei, men blir veldig trangt og umulig å holde 1 meters avstand med alle steder man må innom for å hente mat og annet.
