Incredible view from balcony, charming room with four poster bed, a tub, a towel heater, great breakfast option, and really soft fluffy towels! No elevator, but the attendant sprinted our baggage up the steep stairs. Parking is not convenient at all.

This cozy little hotel is in a great location right next to the promenade. I slept well. It is exceptionally soundproof. I have never seen such heavy, tightly fitted doors. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was mold in the bathroom. And my room had no bathtub. Just a shower.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that Expedia was trying to reach us however we did not receive an email or voicemail. The hotel said they were calling because the large room with a balcony that we reserved had an issue with the plumbing and they could not put us in this room and needed to downgrade us to a smaller room without a balcony. We had no choice in the matter. I found it strange that Expedia was trying to call us when it was an hotel issue. The hotel said they would give us a free breakfast for the inconvenience but that I had to call Expedia to get a credit on the downsizing. When back in the states, I emailed Expedia asking for a credit for the difference in the rooms, which is what I was instructed to do by the hotel, but Expedia explained they cannot do this, rather their process is to contact the hotel and see if the hotel would be willing to give us a credit. After some back-and-forth and waiting a couple days, the outcome per Expedia was that the hotel denied any credit to us. So basically the hotel lied to us and blew us off by telling us to deal with the fact that we paid for an expensive room but didn’t get it after we had already left the country. Pretty low of them to do.

What a last minute find! We loved it.

What a find this was! Last minute we decided to stay in Etretat and a room was available. Bed was great. View was outstanding. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel restaurant was exceptional. The chef is a really great guy and his food reflects that.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. I had an incident during my visit to Etretat and the desk team went above and beyond to help me through it. I want to thank them for all of their help and kindness. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The property is perfectly located on the ocean front. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel while visiting the area.

Comfy and great views!

Friendly and quick check in, comfy bed, nice upgrade to sea view as we visited in off season. Appreciated the jetted tub and robes. Room was cozy and warm. The bar is a bit expensive but I guess it comes with the location.

Étretat is a pleasant seaside resort with pebble beach and stunning white cliffs
The hotel is right on the front but you pay premium prices for this convenience.in my opinion there are better value hotels just behind the sea front. Even the up market Dormy House Hotel has cheaper rooms than Rayon Vert. Our room, 27 was approached by steep spiral staircases to the second floor overlooking the town. - no lift. Very basic but acceptable small room
No lounge space and a very modest breakfast at €14 - better value in town.
Parking is available close by but difficult to find at busy times(as with most seaside resorts) particularly weekends.
Some good restaurants close by. We like Le Galion

Picked a busy weekend

Unfortunately we picked a very busy weekend and traffic was blocked off to the hotel. We luckily had a local assist us to get into the village. Once there the check in was smooth and we had a room on the top floor. No elevator so it was an interesting trek up the spiral staircase. The reward was the view. The room was good and the bathroom looked recently renovated. Overall it was good, car parking is in the street though.

A Warm Welcome and a Great Location

Cosy little hotel, right on the sea front. Fabulous sea view from our bedroom, plus a small balcony which we sat out on even though the weather was terrible. Decent bathroom with rather impressive bubble making device too. The hotel was 2 minutes walk from the bus stop and easy to find. It’s situated right by the beach and a couple of minutes from the famous cliffs on each side. Near a load of great cafes and restaurants. Most of all, the service was excellent. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Perfect location!

You could walk out the front door and be on the beach. The beach itself was pebbles, but the white cliffs on either side were gorgeous. And the walkway along the beach was lovely for a stroll.

Our room had an awesome Jacuzzi bathtub. No shower unfortunately, but the tub was so fun that it didn't matter.

Location is lovely and easy to park and get around city. Hotel is old and has a lot of wear and tear but the staff is friendly and helpful . No elevator and very narrow, old steps to get up to room which can be difficult with luggage that we did not want to leave in the car after we parked.

Helpful staff, great location next to Esplanade and beach. Classic quaint guest rooms- beware, the cheapest rooms are on the highest floor, overlooking the village- so the more you pay, the less climbing you will need to do with your luggage (no lift).

Great location and views from our bacony! My only recommendation would be a shower curtain in the bathtub. If you took a bath in the jacuzzi was fine but it was a mess to take a regular shower. It also needed a brighter light for in the room.

The Green Line

The hotel is just across the street from the beach. The staff were very welcoming and spoke English. We enjoyed watching other tourists, especially the crazy ones who stripped down to enjoy the sun when it came out! The town is very interesting, with some buildings of medieval style, and storyboards describe historical events in some buildings. it was a lovely town to visit, and the hotel was as expected. Most rooms face the sea.

The cheap rooms are a decent value at this hotel

A decent hotel right on the coast at Etreat' France. We booked a cheaper room, so pictures on Hotels.com were a bit misleading, but I knew it going in. Parking was troublesome as the town was quite busy, but the staff gave great advice on how to manage the car. In the end it was a great stay and a good location, just didn't expect that the dumpster would be directly below our window outside and that was really the only real drawback to our room and stay.

Fantastic location but the parking is .....

The hotel is well located by the boardwalk. However parking is a nightmare. The weekend we were there was a festival and we could not park close to the hotel until Sunday night. Do not take a room in the back of the hotel were their os a small amd extremely noisy small alley. The hotel needs a bit of TLC.

Very happy with our stay. Etretat is an absolute gem. No wonder Monet loved to paint here. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast arrangements and food very nice. Great location for coastal walks, swimming and waterfronts. Recommend visit to Benedictine distillery in Fecamp.

I thought it would be better

This is a charming old hotel right on the water front in the fabulous sea side village of Etretat.

This makes it both good and bad.

We were in a room on the first floor facing the town. We had to have the windows open as it was so hot. The room is very small. With the windows open there is much noise from the streets below as well as roosting seagulls which charming and romantic at first becomes quite tiresome as it goes on ALL night.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great.

This hotel has a great location, great view, and you can open the windows and listen to the waves crashing on the beach in a seaside room. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a better room for no additional cost with a jacuzzi tub and windows facing the beach and the old church on the hill.

Couldn't ask for a better location. The service was excellent. Very helpful in every way. Only bummer was we requested two twin beds and got a double. Definitely a doable situation. I'm taking my lady back here for sure rather than my son.

Great Location, Perfect for a Night

Checked in late after watching sunset on the cliffs surrounding the town - perfect seaside location. Offsite parking was close once secured in a busy lot. Lots of great restaurants close by for a nice dinner. All hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The guest room was clean , comfortable bed with quality linens and pillows, WIFI worked, lots of hot water for the morning shower in an immaculate bathroom. A little warm at night but opened windows for fresh air...nice! Breakfast was of good quality ( breads, fresh juice, coffee) - suggest offering a healthier selection alternative i.e. fruit,yogurt...to be more contemporary. While the hotel had an expected rustic feel, I even liked the string light \"chandelier\" - I felt the old furniture & cot in the public areas took away from the charm and made it all feel a bit trashy...overall though a very nice experience.

A Romantic View

The Cons: We arrived on a Sunday in August. Parking nearby was impossible, but we were able to unload our car outside, then park a few hundred metres away. There was no hot water, but we were so delighted with the room, we weren't too bothered and our bill was reduced by 25% without us even having to ask for it. The Pro's: gorgeous four poster bed, great spa bath (be even better with hot water!), amazing view from balcony (we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset and sunrise from it). A simple but adequate breakfast. We plan to return.

The Rayon Vert is right on the beach. Sea view rooms have a great view. when we stayed it was extremely hot and had to sleep with window open plenty of noise from seagulls and the odd motorbike on the road at the rear.Staff where nice . Etretat is small and on the day we arrived the police had closed most of the roads as the town and beach were full. luckily managed to find a parking space close to hotel. When we left there was plenty of paid parking space near hotel. TIP don't arrive on a hot Sunday afternoon when half of France wants to go to the beach.

Nice hotel, but...

The hotel has a wonderful location near the beach, the room itself was rather nice (we didn't have a sea view, but the view over the town's roofs was also attractive), clean bathroom with new fittings. What I disliked: 1) no elevator (we were in the 3rd floor, had to carry our luggage) 2) no hooks, rails, shelves in the bathroom (couldn't find a place to hang the towels or to put toiletries) 3) breakfast (to charge 9 Euro for coffee, juice and some bread with jam is a shame).

La habitación impecable, la vista es la mejor de todo Etretat. El personal muy amable. El Balcón permite escuchar las olas del mar tan próximas que se puede distinguir las piedras que forman la playa chocando. Es un edificio histórico muy bien conservado.

Hôtel familial les pieds dans l’eau. Belle vue sur la baie et l’Aiguille depuis la chambre « balnéo » au dernier étage. Chambre petite, mais coquette. Attention, pas d’ascenseur, ne convient pas à des personnes âgées ou à mobilité réduite. L’accueil au petit déjeuner aurait pu être plus chaleureux. Une bonne adresse dans un lieu emblématique où le choix est plutôt limité.

We had a room with a balcony facing the water and it did it all! Lovely to doze with the doors open and hear the waves crashing.
The city is cozy, although not huge. The beach is long and beautiful. As we had slightly worse weather, it was also wonderfully deserted.

Schönes kleines Hotel. Super Lage. Zimmer sind nicht wirklich grross, aber sauber, haben ein hübsches Bad sowie gute Betten und einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer, die Bucht und die Klippen (hatten Zimmer mit Meeblick). Und dann das Frühstück auf dem winzigen Balkon. Ein Moment den man nie wieder vergisst.

チェックアウト後の時間にルアーブルまでのタクシーを予約してもらったが、指定した時間には予約してもらえず、更に予定の時間が大幅に過ぎてもタクシーは来ず、結局タクシーは断念した。宿としても、最後まで責任を見てほしかった。

Très bruyant, des grincements à chaque pas dans le couloir ou au dessus, fenêtre en simple vitrage.
Lumière dans la chambre la nuit : La salle de bain possède une vitre qui ne se ferme que de l'intérieur avec un rideau fin ce qui laisse passer la lumière de la ville la nuit jusque dans la chambre, car la porte entre la salle de bain et la chambre est vitrée.
Parking de l'hôtel à 15 minutes à pieds.
Pas de frigo dans les chambres.

Problème à l’enregistrement : réservation non renseignée.
Chambre vue sur la « ville » = sur un mur ; chambre de petite taille mal préparée : absence de serviette, de notice explicative : aucun renseignement même à minima celui du code wifi...j’ai du me rendre à plusieurs reprises à l’accueil.
Accueil très limite : j’ai dû donner 4 à 5 fois mon nom.
Enfin, literie déplorable !

Были проездом в этом отеле. Все прошло замечательно. Отель расположен в прекрасном месте. Есть номера с очень красивым видом из окна. Персонал приветлив и всегда помогал с решением любых вопросов. P.S. Единственный минус это то, что была указана бесплатная парковка, но по приезду в отель попросили переставить машину на платную парковку. Это немного расстроило.

I booked this hotel online and paid in full at the time of booking. Shortly thereafter, I was informed by a call from the hotel staff that this hotel was closed but that they (the staff person) would simply transfer my booking to a room at a nearby, comparable hotel. No big deal. Except the online price for the hotel in which I was redirected to stay in (and did stay in) was actually cheaper than this one. And I was not refunded the excess money I paid to the Hotel Le Rayon Vert.

Service du petit déjeuner très laborieux, 20 mn pour servir le café. Réassortiment du buffet à améliorer, plus de beurre, du pain, pas de jus de fruits, d’eau...le prix un peu élevé pour les prestations proposées.

3eme étage sans ascenseur avec escalier délicat surtout avec des valises, problème d'ouverture de la porte du parking qui était relativement éloigné
