This was my 6th stay at the hotel and it might have been the last one. They are expanding and building a huge aqua park within the hotel premises, which once finished will be great BUT
I paid 1,500 pln per night in the hotel and was exposed to heavy machinery and construction noises from 6am in the morning all the way till 10pm. Non stop noise! No mention of it at the check it by the hotel staff, paid extra for room with a view of the Tatra Mountains and got extra noise with my money instead!
The construction will continue till the 2028, just saying… really disappointed!

Great food in restaurant and bar, good sauna/spa (extra charge), good swimming pool, good location for the ski slope. Bedrooms dated and beds uncomfortable. Bus to take you into town. But for the price paid, will not be coming back

Amazing views

Hotel very clean. Very friendly staff. Delicious food both in restaurant Grand Kasprowy as well as the -1 breakfast/dinner.

Curtains in the room unfortunately do not close fully and was not resolved. Quite noisy air conditioning.

The condition of the hotel is not Good especially on the floors. Aircon in the room was broken - but we got uprageded room. In the other room there was a strange noice on the 7th floor - like a laundry noise all night. I was informed by the staff that it is even worst on the 4th floor. LOL. We had to pay additionally to enter the spa/outside jacuzzi space. From 7 am they are building a pool or sth so if you want to have a peaceful stay- don’t go there. In the breakfast restaurant some tables and chairs look like from the 90’s. Overall - I would not recommend- this is not 4star hotel that I excpected.

Check in was not very welcoming. A lot of little broken things in the room ex. Broken trash can in the bathroom. The room was very smelly. No iron in the room. There an iron room on the 1st floor but it was very dirty. Breakfasts are far from enjoyable.

This hotel /rooms needs maintenance improvements ASAP.
In our first 24 hour , we had to change 3 times room. Reasons: no A/C in room and bad smell.
Even in our 3rd room there was no water pressure in the shower. A/C was not working properly too.

The hotel is located next to a nice slope to Zakopane. Very convenient if your main purpose is skiing or snowboarding. However, there is not much around and you definitely would need a car to enjoy Zakopane. The property has nice amenities, but it is an old building (renovated) and it needs some maintenance (elevators are old and get stuck).
Also, I feel that it’s totally overpriced. The radisson is a nicer property and cheaper. This hotel also charges from 70-100 zl per night per parking. So be ready to pay an extra 100 bucks just for parking if you are staying over 5 nights. This is ridiculous.
The food is good in the hotel. Service is ok, nothing special.

Friendly, helpful hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel now for several years, I attend with different groups throughout each year, family groups and groups of friends, both these groups are catered for fantastically by the hotel. This year in particular changes to the UK entry requirements a fit to fly certificate was required, the hotel advised me where to obtain such a test and assisted with me obtaining the certificate on the date of my return home, many thanks again to the hotel and I’ll definitely see you again next year.

I must admit food was good, service was pleasant. However our room was in poor condition, didn't look anything like advertised. Advertised rooms are after renovations and we weren't informed about different standards. That was very disappointing. Overall hotel is clean has nice entrance, swimming pool, and very good location for skiing and walking excursions.

Good for families.

We had a lovely time at the Mercure. The breakfast was delicious. Good choice. The hotel was very close to the chair lift. Well worth going to the top for the views. A walk into town could be a bit too far for some. The pool looked lovely but I didn't want to walk to it. The room was a little tired and the balcony needed chairs and a table. It was a superior room and apart from the views which were amazing, I would have expected a little bit more. I would stay there again though. Value for money.

A family friendly hotel

At the time of our visit the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment with the pool and usual children’s playroom closed. Having traveled from the UK with 2 children desperate to return to this hotel I imagined the worst however this hotel as usual had catered for everything, a temporary playroom had been set up which just as in previous visits had staff that remained in this room with the children allowing parents an amount of time away, the hotel had obtained vouchers for the local water park to allow the children water activities whilst the lack of pool facilities at the hotel. We attend this hotel on 2 visits per year as it is very child friendly. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and able to speak numerous languages, I cannot fault this hotel and would like to pass on my thanks for another fantastic time, I look forward to the completion of the refurbishment as I’m sure it will provide even more enjoyment on our next visit.

Beautiful hotel with modern mountain decor.

The view from the hotel is breathtaking and honestly this is the best view hotel in Zakopane. Staying in a mountain view room is a must, truly beautiful with Mount Giewont right in front of you. Cannot wait to go back.

The walk to town is OK but a steep climb on the way back or 20 in the taxi. Nothing in the hotel in the evening. Good food and a pleasant atmosphere although it was a bit warm. Can't complain that we had good weather but it was hard to sleep.

The hotel wasn't near the city centre (just 5-10 mins by a taxi) but it's great if you want to do some skiing. The slope is just next door. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in lovely part of Poland

Stayed in this hotel with a young family, excellent hotel which has playroom for young children, pool and sauna for both male and female. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus bus to the town centre, bus and train station and also up the the cable car for between 3-5 zloty.
Just outside the hotel is a water park (Summer months) which is great for adults and children of all ages.

The hotel good old days are gone .

It is a 3 stars hotel but a price of 4 stars . The hotel is overpriced and if you are adult or senior you will not enjoy it since it is too noisy in restaurant . Few staff speak English . I doubt if I will go back . There are many other places better .

12 of us from a walking club did this trip and the location was perfect. lovely mountain region with a variety of walks for all levels. Hotel was perfect for chair lifts and cable cars. Loved the big market place. Good quality products to buy and so cheap.

We went in short three day skiing trip and stayed here . Fantastic location for the slopes - ski to door . Breakfast was fantastic . Bar was a bit pricey compared to local bars . Overall enjoyed our stay immensely .

Location was superb. You can literally walk out the door on to the slope.

But BEWARE this hotel is built for families. Expect noise through the paper thin walls, from the snow machines blasting outside your window (if facing the slope), expect people clobbering around in their ski boots on the floor above you and expect kids running up and down the hallway at all hours.

Expect towels that you'd wash your car with back home because they're so old, expect if you're English speaking little if anything to watch on tv apart from news.

Expect a hotel that's long past it's golden days. Perhaps Mecure has made it's money off it now there's no point upgrading her any further?

Beds were OK, room heating very good. We had a deluxe room, still had large gouges taken out of door frames and walls, again she's a tired very well used hotel.

Though the meals in the restaurant were excellent, one of the few saving graces of the hotel. The wait staff we're excellent, attentive and kind. Bar staff at times were either bored leaning against the bar watching tv or overrun with simple orders or requests. Friendly enough though.

Highly recommended for families, it's really well set up for kids. Knowing this earlier we wouldn't have stayed here.. Next time we'll be organizing a nearby Chateau because we can't stand the noise or rampant kids

Hotel with beautiful view on the mountains. Close to Gubałówka. Center of Zakopane is 2.5 km from the hotel, but it is not difficult to get there and walk is rather pleasant. Very good for family stay far from city traffic and close to environment.

Good for Ski slopes and hiking- bit far from town

Hotel is perfectly situated for the slopes and hiking - it is based right at the start of one of the ski lifts. However, it is a 15-20 minute walk into town- and then you have to do that up-hill when you come back. Probably not a problem if you just want to go in a couple of times especially as a taxi in is only about £5 and a Shuttle bus takes you for about 60p. However, we didn't have any meals included in our room as we wanted to find cheaper places to eat in town - breakfast in the hotel was overpriced compared to local restaurants and we didnt like having to walk into town for every meal as nothing in the nearby area seemed to be open (we went in July).
Bar is nice, and pleasant to sit on the balcony with a hot chocolate overlooking the mountains :)
Dinner at the main restaurant was ok and prices are not bad- but better and more authentic food in town.
We had forgotten travel plugs but reception were able to lend us one for our stay which we were impressed with.
Check in and out was a very smooth process and staff were friendly.
Bottles of water provided in the rooms :)

However hotel needs a spruce up - alot of the woodwork in the rooms and restaurant are falling off, need reparing.

Beware of hidden costs

The cost is not the real cost. You will have to pay for parking and this comes to about $12 a night. If you want breakfast, that will cost you $16 per person. If you decide to buy something downtown, that's a 30 minute walk one way. Also, I had to pay a small local tax for my son, for some reason. On the positive side, the rooms have been modernized and were clean. I was there on a hot day and there was no air conditioning. Avoided the overpriced restaurants and went to a good pizza restaurant My son liked the indoor pool and recreation room while I enjoyed the weight room.

Very safe and comfortable ski trip

I booked this hotel for my young son and I to enjoy a ski holiday together, being intermediate skiers wanting a safe area to practice within easy access to our accommodation. This hotel was perfect with very kind staff and great food. We loved the swimming pool, which was not at all crowded, and the ski lockers were very handy for stowing our kit securely. The games rooms for all ages of children was fantastic with wii etc all set up to go. We found it cheaper to have breakfast in a restaurant at the top of the slope rather than in the hotel, but really enjoyed the buffet evening meal where there was plenty of choice even for vegetarians. All in all we felt safe and comfortable in this hotel. many of the staff do only speak limited English, but us having learnt a few key words of Polish made all the difference and we were met only with kindness and politeness during our stay. The hotel arranged taxi transfers from and to Krakow airport and our luggage was taken to our room for us by a porter. The chambermaids were smiley and efficient. Thank you.

Next to the slopes

The reason for the stay was for the skiing. Well you cannot get much closer to the slopes than this hotel. Walk straight out of the ski shop onto the slopes. The only slight problem was the reception staff some of whom only spoke Polish with very faltering English and had little knowledge of local ski runs. Apart from this little hiccough all was fine.

Great ski hotel

The hotel is a \"ski-in\" and \"ski-out\" hotel as advertised. However, the slopes available from the hotel were limited and there were a lot of people on the hill with many beginner-level skiers. We only ate at the hotel one night (food was good) but caught a taxi from the hotel to downtown Zakopane every other night for dinner, which was easy and inexpensive. Hotel has a nice louge bar but needs to hire one or two more bartenters so the wait for service and beverages isn't as long. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and we had a great time in Zakopane.

Hotel was well located, clean and had an amazingly large pool. Getting to the hotel is a short taxi ride (20 Zloty) from the town centre. Breakfast was great, room was fine. On the downside, a couple of the reception staff were not so friendly and the leisure area was slippery and had faulty showers.

The hotel was ok. Its location, right next to a ski slope was great but it is a 20 - 30 min walk to the centre of zakopane. For a mecure hotel I was expecting the quality of the hotel itself and the service to be a little higher. The rooms were clean but dated furniture and the blankets were similar to a 15 yeqar old travel lodge. They definately would benifit from refurbishment. Our window was broken but to be fair the hotel were very quick in coming to repair it. Other than this the service wasn't great. We were left waiting to check in for 15mins when the reception was busy whilst 2 members of hotel staff were in the lobby chatting to friends and a manager would occasionally pop out to answer the phone. We were also disappointed but the extra charge imposed at the end of the stay. It was a small amount but its the principal of not being told about it either when booking or checking in. It wasted time when we wanted to check out quickly and the staff seemed very offended that we even questioned it. For the price we paid for our stay and the fact that this was a Mecure hotel we expected a little better.

Non-smoking rooms had the smell of smoke due to sharing the floor with smoking rooms and poor ventilation in the hallways.

Parking pass was not given, so we had to pay when leaving every time we wanted to go into town. When we finally found out about the pass available, they tried to triple charge us for it. Beware their math skills.

Picturesque and enjoyed waking up to the sound of sheep grazing on the nearby ski hill. :)

expect unfair charges

We booked through this website and were told about additional charges such as resort tax which is funny cos i never saw anything like that in Poland, however when we got there we were told that we have to pay parking charge which was not even stated in the booking. when i explained that i was not told about this charge and show them the booking paper, before checking in, the staff in reception told me that its fine and there shouldnt be a problem, but during the check out the manager said that we have to pay for the parking despite i was not happy with that. the managers in reception basically have bad attitude and are not professionals at all. they do not value their customer.

Positives: clean room, large by European standards; decent gym, although the gym does not open until quite late in the morning (8am) which was frustrating.

Improvements needed: (1) Effectively, no English-language television is available; they have BBC World whose reception was hit-or-miss and the only other English-language channel was CNN International but the satellite/cable service made it un-viewable; I mentioned this at the desk three times but it was never fixed over a five-day stay. (2) Very slow internet connection (iTunes downloads are impossible as is watching any internet video). (3) Shuttle service to and from Zakopane runs like clock-work (3 zl. each way) but stops at 5pm meaning that, if you stay in Zakopane for dinner, you must pay for a taxi back to hotel (18 zl.).

In Zakopane on business. Always stay in this hotel. Hotels.com gave us the best rate we have gotten so far by over 15%. This hotel is a functional 3 star which was the pride of Poland when it was built in the 70's. It was one of the first \"Westernised\" properties in Poland. It is clean, warm, the views are spectacular and the staff speak English! They have free internet but the wireless is hopeless unless you sit on top of the modem.

Beside one of the main ski lifts in Zakopane. The hire shops are across the road. The facility is built for skiing and it works well. The bar and restaurant are quite good with a very good buffet breakfast. Quite reasonable as well.

Best 3 star hotel ever

We stayed in this hotel in September of 2009. Hotel staff is so friendly and always ready to help. Rooms are clean and comfortable. This 3 star hotel has nice and worm indoor pool that you could use and I recommend it. During our stay lifeguard was present. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. When booking try to book more than 3 nights, sometimes they offer free nights. In winter this must be a perfect family vacation place. We will definitely come again!

What a lovely hotel to stay in. We arrived from krakow at about 8pm, check in was fast. We had a superior room with a beautiful view of the mountains, I even woke up at 6am to see the sun coming up behind it. The food in the hotel was delicious and well priced aswell, For two of us with wine and beer for me was about 20 pounds. Would definately recomend this hotel and I considering holding my wedding reception there in a couple of years.

Amazing facilities for families, kids club 10/10 and gym also top notch! Pool offered amazing views. Restaurant in ground floor good but very pricy. Paid 190 EUR for a dinner including be wine for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Only minus was that the over all feel outside is very dated. And family rooms very small and not suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Hotel tylko z zewnątrz straszy, w środku super wystrój, restauracje, spa, baseny.
Gorąco polecam Hotel Kasprowy.
Jedna sprawa była słaba i do poprawy, śniadania przez 4 dni te same zimne i na ciepło:
Jajecznica, cienkie parówki, kiełbaska, kaszanka, pankejki, fasolka, boczek.
No dobra sałatka podczas całego pobytu się zmieniła.
Zjeść i najeść dało radę ale bez fajerwerków.
Bar czynny tylko do 22.00.
Ważne wybierajcie pokoje z widokiem na giewont a nie na wzgórze.
Nie zmienia to faktu że jest to bardzo dobry hotel z dobrą restauracją, barem, spa i przemiłą i uczynną obsługą na recepcji jak i panie pokojowe.

Dejligt sted.

Det var hyggeligt. Der er ok rent ved ankomsten . Men badeværelse rengøres ikke under ophold selv om man krydser af hvad man ønsker gjort .
Det vil være fin service af hotellet at oplyse ved ankomst , at de har en bus som kører ned i byen og andre steder i området.
Men ellers søde og venlige personaler.
