Just spent few nights at this hotel whilst visiting Forde. The hotel is well positioned with excellent options for a walk, hike or just relax. However, there were few things which other guests needs to be aware if they decide to stay here:
- the lift to the 5th floor was constantly broken
- shampoo in the room wasn't refilled, almost empty when we arrived (have your own)
- swimming pool & gym - very outdated with false ceiling tiles missing.
- spa - only one sauna working despite spa reception charging full amount to enter and none of the jacuzzis looked to be cleaned to some time due to sand or dirt found at the bottom

Breaker good but service bad room basic no tea/cof

It looks nice from outside but room is basic . I am surprise we stayed in Bergen scandic near airport it was best and book same hotel this one but there was totally different . Room was not clean and bin was terrible smelling . Called reception 2 times in one hr and went downstairs too but because they were busy no peu came and finally I called again and the lady came after 1 hr 20 mins . First time seen no coffee no kettle no tea bar nothing . It’s like hoste . Only positive things is Very good breakfast .

Very beautiful hotel with an amazing breakfast selection. Staff was very helpful. It was a little warm in the room so we had to open the window and the door to get a good ( cooler) breeze coming through. I understand they’ve been experiencing record temps. The hours of the restaurant were puzzling. It wasn’t open Friday for lunch, but was not on Monday. We ate dinner Friday night but it wasn’t open Sunday, so we found somewhere else to eat. Overall I would still give it 5/5 stars as a great place to stay in Forde. Very central as well to shopping and right next to the bus depot.

Fire alarm on a Saturday night

We arrived very tired after a long drive and were asleep in comfortable beds before midnight. However, the fire alarm went off at about 00:10 hrs, and we struggled into clothes and were ready to leave our room within minutes. There was no sign of a fire, and we tried to call reception but got no reply. Happily, a member of the hotel staff ran up the corridor to tell guests there was no fire, but quite frankly this was an incident that caused some stress and distress.

Check in was easy because Expedia messed up my other reservation and booked me here (1.5 hrs away from my original hotel reservation). Rooms are large but dated - needs touch up paint. Breakfast is excellent and there is a spa and pool onsite. Good for one night to explore the region.

Average hotel in unattractive town

We chose Forde to break our drive from Alesund to Bergen. The town seems quite industrial and was the least attractive place we saw in Norway. This hotel seems to be about the only sizeable one (the only one?) in Forde. There are really no restaurants in town to speak of either.

As the drive from Alesund was far easier than I expected and already broken by ferry trips, I'd wished I'd continued all the way to Bergen in one day.

Never take dinner in this hotel. \"Buffet\" of dried up, tough pork cutlets, or rubbery chicken with minimal accompaniments. The hotel seems geared to tour bus groups who presumably put up with this. Breakfast OK in standard European style. Rooms OK.

Ble svært godt tatt i mot og fikk svært gode tilpasninger på rommet som vi ikke hadde bestilt. (Reiser med rullestol)
Hotellet er ikke nytt og det bærer det preg av.
Bossbøtten på rommet var ikke tømt.
Vi spiste middag i restauranten, og fikk super hjelp da vi bestilte bord, men under middagen spiste vi hele måltidet vårt uten at noen kom og tilbød oss drikke. Etter flere forsøk på å få kontakt med noen (flere av servitørene var mest opptatt av å stå og snakke med hverandre) måtte jeg selv gå og finne vann i tappekranen man bruker til frokosten.
Måltidene var ok, men ikke på det nivået hotellet var for noen år tilbake da jeg bodde her sist.
Sengene var gode, så vi sov godt og ved utsjekk gikk det svært fort og effektivt, selv om det var mange mennesker som dro samtidig.
Alt i alt en midt på treet opplevelse, men utrolig dyktige og hyggelige personale i resepsjonen og skranken til restauranten.

Gammelt slidt hotel. Sengene var total udslidte, de burde skiftes omgående. Man burde være betalt for at overnatte der. Personale gjorde hvad de kunne. Rammerne var der ikke. Propfyldt med gæster dejligt for belægningen men rammerne er ikke tilpasset så mange gæster. Specielt ved reception, måltider. Find et andet hotel.

Helt ok hotell, men bærer preg av slitasje. Spa-avdelingen er ok, behagelig atmosfære. Vi hadde oppgradert til Superior rom, og tenkte vel kanskje da at en vannkoker og litt pulverkaffe stod klar, i det minste, evt en kaffemaskin, men nei. Ved innsjekk ble vi ikke fortalt veien til heis/rom, hvilket hadde vært til stor hjelp, da vi faktisk måtte gå gjennom flere korridorer for å komme til et annet bygg. Bra frokost.

Scandic Førde

Majoitus oli ok. Ilmastointi ei toiminut ainakaan kunnolla. Huone oli erittäin tukala. Etenkin, kun suihkussa kävi, muuttui huone todella kuumaksi. Myös suurin osa muista yöpyjistä piti ikkunan auki, sillä se oli ainoa tapa viilentää huonetta ja saada ilmaa kiertämään. Samoin oven auki pitäminen. Tämä ongelma oli reilusti suurin syy, miksi hotelli ei ollut rahansa arvoinen.

Henkilökunta oli osaavaa ja mukavaa. Aamiainen oli todella hyvä. Hotellin hinta oli kuitenkin yleiseen tasoon nähden liian korkea. Vastaavalla hinnalla saa yleensä huomattavasti paremman kokemuksen

Mikäli ilmanvaihto ja lämpötila saadaan korjattua ja hotelli laskee hintoja 20%, olisi majoitus silloin erinomainen hinta-laatusuhteeltaan.

Yleiset tilat olivat myös siistit.

Romma på hotellet har veldig varierande standard, både i størrelse og om dei er pussa opp på denne sida av årtusenskiftet. Denne gong vart det eit lite, men ganske fint rom. Men fryktelig varmt og ingen mulighet for å regulera temperatur. Ellers fint! Ellers har hotellet eit basseng med tilhøyrande garderobe som mildt sagt treng litt stell, mens spa-avdelinga, som ein må kjøpa seg inn på er ganske bra. Frokost er også ganske ok, men ferskt brød hadde jo vore kjekt. Middag kan ein kanskje også få, om ein ikkje blir jaga av sure servitørar slik vi gjorde denne gongen. At den kulinariske konkurransen i Førde er alt anna enn hard er merkbart.

Fint rom, men uh

Familieopphold. Bodde i nytt rom i ny toppetasje. Veldig fint rom, men blir veldig varmt i rommet da solen står på. Fant ingen muligheter til å justere temperaturen på rommet.
