This was a perfect hotel during a road trip thru Europe. Picked the hotel due for its magnificent decor and history. Staff is very attentive to our needs and assisted us for reservations to museums and restaurants during our 3 day 2 night stay. Excellent location near to all major POI. $210 Extra MONEY REQUESTED AT SITE

Was charged a extra $210 a night when we arrived at the hotel and was not budgeted for and this extremely affected our trip.
We had no other choice, but to pay the money we had nowhere else to go, and everything else was budgeted.

They said this was due to it, being an extra person in the room, myself, and my daughter, which was stated on the reservation. They stated this was due to her insurance reasons, and that me and my daughter were not able to share the space without it being the extra fee.

This property surrounds multiple gardens and is located in Florence away from the maddening crowds. One can walk to the most popular attractions within minutes. Hotel Staff was extremely helpful in securring a taxi at 5:00 AM to the airport. Unfortunately, due to our brief stay, we were unable to enjoy the hotel's breakfast buffet and gardens during daylight hours. A tragically short stay at a classy hotel.

My daughter and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a very classic charm with a beautiful garden. We were greeted upon entry and shown around the property, then to our room. We loved the history of the place and the authentic Italian charm. Our room was spacious and quiet with comfortable beds. There were plenty of toiletries. They did a turn down service in the evenings and put a little chocolate on our beds, along with a stepping mat and house slippers next to the bed. For breakfast there is a very nice buffet breakfast that had so many options and the staff is very kind and attentive. My daughter and I were so sad to leave when it was time to check out. We absorb loved our time staying at the Monna Lisa hotel. If you are looking for an authentic Italian feel for your stay, this is the place for you.

The Monna Lisa Hotel is a charming, historic, haven situated within the historic district of Firenze. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The bar and garden was laid back and just what is needed after a day walking among the many historic sites. The daily breakfast, which was included in the bill, had many options and was provided by friendly staff in a beautiful setting. Our family loved it and will return!!

We got complimentary slippers and each day that the room was made, the staff left chocoloates on our pillows an two bottles of water. The breakfast in the morning is super complete with eggs, bacon, a variety of breads, pastries and desserts, ham, cheese, and ceral, along with juices. The staff will bring you coffee or tea according to your request. I had a capucchino every morning! In the evening, we sat outside on the courtyard and enjoyed a couple of spritz. The hotel is situated close enough to tourist attractions an great restaurants so that you could walk, but you can easily have the hotel call you a taxi is you prefer. Keep in mind that this is a multi0-building property and some of the rooms may not have access to an elevator, so make sure you ask if you cannot handle stairs.

I can’t find the words to describe the charm of this magical hotel. It’s tucked away on a narrow street very close to the main shops and attractions of historic Florence. When you first enter, you see a beautiful open area with painted ceilings, which opens up to a spacious lobby area, which leads to an open garden courtyard. Seriously you won’t believe this garden! You are just meters from the bustling city, but it’s so quiet and peaceful. Our room even had a balcony overlooking the garden. If you are trying to find a boutique hotel that looks and feels exactly the way you think Florence looks from tv and movies, this is the one you want! We chose it because it had a really low price on Expedia, and we were a little worried about what it would be like since it was listed at a lower price compared to others on the site, so we really couldn’t believe our luck when we arrived and saw this place. It is exactly what we wanted. And the breakfast - other reviewers have written about how great it is. It is even better than you can imagine. A buffet of pastries, breads, cakes, eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, juices, amazing coffee, served in the garden patio by friendly staff. In the evenings there is a bar that will serve you drinks and snacks in the garden. We would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located gem in Florence

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Monna Lisa.It is a centrally located oasis in Firenze. The decor is amazing especially in the wonderful garden area. We were lucky enough to get one of the rooms with private balcony and it was very well-appointed and comfortable. It was such a joy to return to a quiet cool beautiful space after being in the hectic summertime in the city.

Wonderful hotel. Older but well kept. Superior double room with lakeview was very spacious and comfortable. It is well situated right by the lake ferry for quick and easy access to touring the lake and villages using the ferry service. The balcony doors are superior for blocking outside noise. It was wonderful to open up the shutters and patio doors and see the views around the lake. Great hotel - especially for a short stay.

A nice suprise along a rather dingy street. Beautiful commons areas that in the past must have been stunning. This hotel is in need for an overall update and maintenance but was still a good find for Florence. The desk staff and breakfast room staff were wonderful and helped us to print our needed emails. Our room was not in the main building but in an annex through a garden. This building really needs updating and maintenance. It had been a luxurious room 20-30 years ago but the wear was obvious. Our bathroom layout was very awkward with the toilet positioned in the door swing area. No bidet and the shower was in a large step in tub. Tile was chipped and grout not real clean. Tub installation was rough. Plenty of towels. In room fridge needed defrosting badly. It was very quiet and beds were comfortable but the room was dark and walls and trim need a good cleaning.

The building is truly charming. Located in a lovely area in the center of Florence with everything you want to visit at a comfortable walking distance.
Tha staff is courteous, the room are clean. I had a small issue with the flickering light in the bathroom and the noice of the ac I was forced to switch off to be able to sleep.
Nice breakfast, unfortunately without the atmospheric buffet available before the health measures enforced after the pandemic.
I will definitely would like to stay in this hotel in future.

This is a fabulous medieval hotel... gorgeous gardens great staff however I wasn’t lucky and I was given a hideous old room... no space to open a suitcase couldn’t close the window nor lower the heat... I was roasted by the morning.
However the management took that in consideration and compensated me as best they could.
I was told that it will be completely renovated.

Room 19 was stifling hot and a fan was not offered until second night.
Front desk, dining and bar staff were great. I would stay again but ask for a different room.

Erika at reception was a total delight. Very sweet, welcoming and helpful. Plenty of local restaurants to choose from. Great location. Room was spacious and clean.

The service we received was brilliant. The staff were friendly and personable and really came up trumps when we had to extend our stay at short notice due to illness. The hotel and its garden are a real haven from the heat and bustle of Florence and so conveniently located. We felt like part of the family.

Old world charm, close to sights, delicious food

Lovely little secret gem, so close to everything but tucked away from crowded tourist thruway. Easy to walk to all the sights and then back to the quite of your room. Beautiful gardens and excellent plentiful breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly and efficient.
