This is NOT your run of the mill Super 8. This one is fairly new and in great condition. Rooms are upgraded enough so you don't realize you're in a Super 8. Here's the only thing I could find to even think of as an issue... shower head leaked a little water around the threads... not even an issue. You'll not be disappointed staying here. Requested smoke and dog dander free room and they were able to ensure that was not an issue for me. Great place to stay.

First room. I or the desk person had no idea on how to operate the tv in the room or what app to use to watch tv. 2nd room. Toilet was not bolted to the floor. Hair in the tub and sink. No phone cord connected. The tv got 6 channels all of them 1 hour behind actual time. No new channels all old ones. So much noise sounded like a gym in the hallway, i had to yell at the people out there. ice machine on 2nd floor did not work. No bathroom exhaust fan. Tv remote had no battery cover. The experience over all was horrible. I do not believe I will ever stay there again.

This hotel is somewhat of an enigma. I want to first of all state clearly that all of the front desk staff with whom I interacted were incredibly kind and welcoming. Decorations were festive. It is clear that there have been some renovations going on. Our room was adequate and nicely decorated, but I can't honestly say that the room was well-cleaned. I would have rated the stay higher except for my experience at the breakfast. The selection and space were fine. However, the hygiene standards were greatly lacking. Of course, I can't know exactly how long, but it looked as though the inside of the microwave hadn't been cleaned in some time. In addition the outside of the trash can was dirty, and the some of the food seemed that it had been out for too long. It is true that you get what you pay for, but there are other good, affordable options if you don't need to stay in Grayson.

We were supposedly \"upgraded\" but put on the 2nd floor where they are renovating and you can smell the cleaning fumes. Didn't notice at first because we were so tired and ran out to get food. But once settled in saw how room was halfway under construction - dirt around base of toilet - because it was being fixed* Ran most of the night. TV had but 10 channells, Fridge was dirty, cracks in tile around shower (NEW TUB though) - but was not bathing there** Couch in Room looked filthy
Overall not a restful sleep - but were exhausted* Coffee in morning was nice - to get our day started*
STAFF nice - but completely out of touch of what rooms to use** would have moved but again exhausted*
In middle of upgrade so give it a couple months**

The stay was fine. There was an issue with the TV. The staff took care of it and the hair dryer was broken. The room was small but clean. The breakfast was the normal breakfast faire but we got there after 8 and I don't think anyone checked on things after they were put out. We settled for a bagel. It was an inexpensive stay so it was good for the price.

Our room was filthy. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Standing dirt all over the bathroom floor, hair in the tub, sink filthy, grease all over the wall under the TV. Receptionist assured us she would make sure it was cleaned while we were gone and it wasn't touched. And we were charged $622 for 2 nights at this hole. Not only that, we currently have SIX charges on our credit card for that amount because they couldn't figure out how to get us checked in.

Horrible smeels so bad sheets and blankets has stains all over i rarely do reviews but let me tell ya it was so bad i just slept in my truck do not stay here unless you like nasty fumunder smells holes in walls a creepy maint guy that walks the halls when everyone is sleeping stay away

The thick older walls of this hotel made for a quiet room. The shower had excellent water pressure. There was lots to choose from for breakfast. After the renovations are complete this should be a really nice place to stay.

The one star is for the staff because they are friendly. The hotel itself is run down, NOT clean in the rooms or halls. The breakfast was terrible. It looks like they’ve tried to upgrade rooms but seems like diy job gone bad.
We were just stopping to sleep for a night on a long drive and wanted a cheap place to stay but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Extremely dirty and unkempt. They attempted to update rooms, done half-assed. They didn't even tape off the trim when they painted. TV didn't work. Halls and stairs were FILTHY. Horribly price gouged for event.

Elevators are need so guests with mobility issues do not struggle getting to the second floor. The shower was broken, the sheets had stains, the pillows were lumpy and after taking a shower and walking around in the room I had to rewash my feet because they were visibly dirty. Are the floors ever swept and mopped?

Didnt have free breakfast like site says. Ac didnt work. Waited on maintenence for 2 days. Never showed. Had to change rooms after midnight. Not enough towels, wash cloths, or pillows for 2 people. Asked for a broom to sweep the dirty floor in our room and was informed they didnt have a broom. Staff was friendly. Bed was clean, shower was clean. It was ok to sleep and shower there.

Under renovation

Hotel refused to honor early check in that was pre-paid and refused early check in to Wyndham Rewards members. Appears the hotel is currently being renovated. Stains on carpet, equipment sitting around, bathrooms/rooms out of order. Room was clean but not stocked. Had to provide photo ID and room key to receive towels. Coffee bar covered with flies. Housekeeping gentleman was very nice. Only 3 channels worked on TV. Overall, should be a good place once renovations are complete.

Requested bottom floor as wife is disabled and has difficulty climbing stairs.We were given room on 2nd floor and told nothing else available.Stairs and hallway were filthy and housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning rooms.Room had comfortable beds with clean sheets room just needed cleaned better

The staff was exceptional, the room mostly satisfactory, the breakfast was very good, as far as a continental breakfast goes. The hallway could use a little carpet cleaning, and the laundry set wasn’t working, but all else was acceptable. Town was a bit crazy to travel due to holiday, but hotel was satisfactory.

I'm on oxygen and so don't walk distances easily. And although the room that I've got was it the far end of the hotel the staff is very helpful in helping me to get my equipment down to my room so I didn't have to take more than one trip. He then came back a few minutes later and brought me a container of ice which was very nice.

Room was good, but Wifi did not work, room phone was not hooked up, front desk worker barely spoke English. The carpet in stairs and hallway was filthy beyond description. Breakfast was minimal. I do not recommend this establishment.
