Hotels in Rio can be expensive (by Brazilian standards) and hit or miss. We were very pleased with our stay at the Promenade Palladium. The location is perfect: a short walk to Leblon beach, an even shorter walk to a plethora of restaurants, cafes, shops, pharmacies, and anything else you might need. It is also just a few blocks from a metro station which is a great (and safe) option for getting around the city. Our room was on the second floor facing the street, which is quiet (by Rio standards) and has thick glass sliding door opening to a spacious balcony with a small table and chair. The room itself was huge, with a kitchen dining area (sink, microwave, counter, table and chairs), a sofa facing a large television , a very comfortable King-size bed, and a bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast selections are excellent and there is a very generous daily evening food offering from 5-7pm. I swim for exercise and this is one of the few hotels in which I have stayed that has an excellent lap pool that is about 20 yards long. Friends tell me that this was formerly a kind of aparthotel now converted to a hotel. All of the staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Highly recommended and worth the price.

This hotel is situated in a charming neighborhood filled with restaurants, convenient public transportation, and a variety of shops. It truly feels like a home away from home. The beach is just two blocks away, adding to the appeal. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillows that made for a restful stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, and the early evening snack buffet was a thoughtful and unique touch. I’d rate it 8/10 and recommend it for both couples and families.

The hotel is located close to the beach (about 2 blocks away) in the Leblon neighborhood. There are a number of restaurants and stores around the hotel, which is located on a shady street. The room we had was large and very comfortable. It has a nice breakfast buffet. I can recommend this hotel to those visiting Rio

Overall, the property was in a great location and the staff were very nice. The rooms were clean, however the walls are thin so it was somewhat noisy during our stay. However, Leblon is definitely the area to stay in Rio and I would stay at the Hotel Promenade Palladium again.

I liked the hotel in general. I didn’t like that I had booked a “cobertura” penthouse and they placed me in a room below it and when I asked them what was the reason, the answer was that they actually had upgraded me. So, I was moved on the second night to the penthouse. The terrace area didn’t have any furniture. I thought it was a kind of weird!

Sure, the room and bathroom is a bit dated , but the king bed is amazing, the shower has one of the best water pressures I’ve experienced in a hotel, it has a real balcony and breakfast is great. Staff is very friendly. I had an issue with wifi and it was resolved on the spot. Location is prime, oak berry is right next door, and all the restaurants you can think of are around the area (everything is within walking distance). And The Leblon beach is a block away. Overall I would definitely stay here again , specially since most Rio hotels don’t have balconies

Located in upscale Leblon neighborhood only two blocks from the beach. The staff was very helpful since we didn’t speak Portuguese. Hotel is close to very good restaurants and Leblon shopping mall and boutiques. Daily breakfast buffet was delicious. Bonus is the front desk let us check in early after our 10 hour flight.

No free water in the fridge. They allow you two small coffee capsules, any more then you have to buy them. Breakfast very poor for the price. Rock hard bread, poor choice of things to have. Juice is watered down and coffee was just from a pumped pot and nothing special. Bedroom floor wasn’t swept and had to ask for more soap the next day as it wasn’t replaced. I feel they are trying to charge top prices and give you nothing. Room (suite) was big and quiet.

Very nice hotel in a great location
The Leblon location is near lots of good restaurants, 2 blocks from the beach (nice, family oriented) and a lovely property. The breakfast buffet was the best we found in 3 weeks all over S America. The room was spacious and bath was up to date and clean.

Money stolen.
Had money stolen from the room. Had just counted my cash having found some extra from a previous visit in my back pack so knew exactly what I had. I went to the gym for 40 mins in which time the room was serviced. I returned to the room, had a coffee whilst cooling down then showered and prepared to go out for the day when i realised I was 300 Brazilian Real short. I went down to the front desk immediately to raise the issue with staff. Owing to it being the weekend I was informed they would pass on my concerns to the hotel manager on Monday morning and that they would contact me. No one contacted me at all I actually had to go to reception again to inquire what action if any would be taken. I was left waiting 15 mins while the manager came to see me. Said she would review the cctv footage and speak with whomever had serviced the room while advising me that i should leave any valuables in the room safe.
Again i wasn't contacted I had to visit reception. The manager informed they had spoken with the individual and they knew nothing about it and that she trusts her staff. Another way to interpret that is to say I was lying. That was basically the end. I am not sure which is worse, the actual theft itself or the totally unacceptable way the hotel dealt with the situation.Totally disgusted and moved out of the hotel to another local hotel.

Decent hotel, issues with wi-fi
The Wi-Fi did not work the entire week in my room but worked for my phone in my colleagues room, lobby and at breakfast.
I had to incur data charges to use international data when I needed service in my room which I do not think is appropriate when Wi-Fi is advertised.
Finally, I saw a cockroach on the third evening of my stay around 2am. It hid under my bed before I had a chance to take a picture. This was winter in Brazil.
I would not recommend this hotel for the wifi and cleanliness issues.

Great hotel in a great location just 2 blocks from the beach in Leblon. I like the Leblon area of RIo because it is less congested, newer and is less \"touristy\". Great restaurants too in this upscale and affluent neighborhood, just one block north of the main street - the best most popular were one to two blocks west of the hotel. I had a junior suite with a microwave and mini fridge (and dishes and silverware) so being close to 2 grocery stores was a plus. Also, unusual for Rio, a 24 hour mini market right on the corner. The fitness center at this hotel is not really a fitness center, rather a multi machine with limited choices for sets of anything more than very basic.. Fortunately, there is a BodyTech gym less than a block away and was a good, well-equipped gym, but rather expensive, as gym proces go, for short term.

In one of Rio's safest neighborhoods, 2 blocks from the beach, three blocks from the metro, two blocks from a well-known restaurant street, this hotel has large rooms or mini-apartments, a lavish breakfast, front desk staff that can be very helpful and worked very well for us. 2016.

Stayed there two nights last week. Excellent location in Leblon very close to the beach. Going to the international airport on a Saturday afternoon only took around 30-35 minutes. Downside is that the closest metro stop is over 30 minutes away by foot -- not a big deal for me as I walked a lot and taxis are cheap but others may care. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom and shower. Breakfast was excellent and wifi very good as well. Staff was very courteous during my interactions with them and spoke English. Only downside to this hotel was the bed, which was very big but not very comfortable (too hard) in my opinion. Others may feel differently of course.

Best catch in Leblon
This hotel is located in one of the best areas in Leblon. AWESOME! beach, shops and restaurants. I felt like a local here. It's my 5th time staying here. It needs an upgrade it starts to feel a bit tired but still good for what it is and breakfast is amazing and included on your rate.

Nice area but the room is a bit old...the lights close to the bad is dusted. but the location is good leblon is relatively safe to stag. the hotel stuff is nice but may not come again next time...will try something else....

Hotel was Good and in a safe area of town a few blocks away from Leblon beach. The beds could have been better as they were old and the mattresses were rather thin. The Rooms were old but kept in good shape. The rate was not cheap but the priority was to be in a safe part of town. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful with English-speaking personnel at most times ... but not always.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Leblon
I stayed in this hotel for 5 days while I was in town to look for a long term apartment. It is located on a street with residential buildings, but 1/2 a block away from wonderful shops, restaurants, and a small grocery store. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was beautiful! I would return to this hotel any day!

Everything was very good. I think this is an underrated hotel. The only problem was that I need Ed a roll-away bed for two nights and there was a lot lost in translation. In the end they did Okay. I Will stay here again as I found it a very comfortable hotel for the rate.

Excellent Leblon hotel
My stay of three nights went smoothly with every aspect in good order. The breakfast is ample and tasty. There were families with children who congregated at the small swimming pool with inordinate noise but all else went well. Close to everything yet quiet from any street noise. Internet strong.

This hotel was the perfect place for us during our three night stay. The rooms are modern and well appointed. We had one of the suites, which was great. We bought some groceries at the store around the corner so had breakfast in the room a couple times. There is also a breakfast offered by the hotel on the 2nd floor but we never went. The location is ideal. It's on a quiet residential street just a couple blocks from the beach and also around the corner from the commercial street. All the great restaurants on Rua Dias Ferreira are a five minute stroll through the lovely neighborhood.
