The hotel is very classy, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the room kept very clean. I especially liked the “turndown” service in the evenings. The incredibly cozy and beautiful room on the 5th floor is a beautiful hidden secret. The best part of Hotel Sanders are the Juno Bakery cardamom cookies. So delicious! My only complaint is that there is no gym in the hotel—it’s a 15 min walk. Otherwise, FABULOUS hotel!!!

The best hotel I’ve stayed in.The Sanders is beautiful, clean, homely close to everything you’d wish to see in Copenhagen and the staff were the most accommodating I’ve ever experienced. It was our first trip away from our little one and wanted to treat ourselves and this hotel is a dream.

We had a small noise issue night one that we mentioned relatively casually not expecting anything at all. With no hesitation they told us to pack our bags and offered a room change. We returned to a beautiful suite with living room, fireplace and complimentary drinks in the TaTa bar that evening. An amazing gesture that made our short stay even more memorable. We’ve already recommended family who’ve booked for April. Thank you for a fabulous stay, we will be back!

Loved Hotel Sanders! The staff were tremendously helpful and friendly from the moment my taxi arrived to the minute I left after checkout. It's a beautifully designed hotel with a theme around ballet--apparently the owner's previous profession. The room was small but extremely cozy. I had a fantastic first night dinner in Copenhagen at the hotel.

Sanders is a boutique hotel in a great location which attracts a more hip clientele. Most of the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I understand that Copenhagen is a city with high cost of living but here is what didn’t feel like value for money for rooms at $1,200 per night: the room didn’t have a desk or table to work and the female receptionist was completely dismissive about it; the room had view of a wall; the showers are old style (to go with the character of the hotel) but they leaked water all over the floor as bathroom has only half a glass door; the carpet had stains on it; the corridors are so narrow only one person can pass comfortably at a time; the breakfast which was at an extra charge and not included in the room was not anything to write home about; we were charged for oversalted dishes we sent back untouched; and there was an error on the final bill - though small, I wasn’t happy about how the young woman dealt with the issue!!
Copenhagen is an amazing city and we loved our stay in a central location and the great neighborhood Sanders is located at and how pleasant the staff were (except for the two cases above) but the value for money was well below other 5 star hotels we stayed at in Stockholm Grand and Oslo.

Fabulous staff—delightful stay

This is a lovely hotel, centrally located and within walking distance of many of the attractions in Copenhagen. The ambiance of the hotel is stellar. There are small intimate spaces to have a wine and visit. Staff is outstanding and were helpful with any question or concern one might have. There was a great selection at breakfast where one could order one specialty from a menu and also enjoy the buffet which was plentiful and diverse. We would come back to this hotel time and again. It was a relaxing, comfortable hotel. We have a very special visit in Copenhagen in part due to the staff and accommodations at the Hotel Sanders.

I’m truly disappointed to be writing this review, as I had been looking forward to staying at Sanders for a long time, saving the experience for a special celebration.

The reception staff was kind and welcoming, a positive first impression. Unfortunately, that level of care did not extend to the rooftop, where we were treated rudely and with surprising cold disrespect. We were told at check-in that breakfast was included, either downstairs or on the rooftop. Although we rarely have breakfast, we decided to try it, curious to see how refined it might be. After I served a small plate with salmon and cheese, a staff member finally asked for the room number, only to inform, in front of other guests, that breakfast was not included. They then proceeded to take the plate and throw it in the garbage. We were left feeling embarrassed and humiliated.

This, at a room rate of €770.

To add to the disappointment, our bathroom was in a poor state, damaged and run-down, which I’ve attached a photo of. This is unacceptable at this level of pricing. If a room is in poor condition, even partially, it should not be allocated until it is fixed.

The hotel itself has charm, the room was decently equipped, and the location is excellent. But there are no amenities as advertised, no spa, no gym, no sauna, and based on the treatment we received, especially at breakfast, we cannot recommend the property.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Sanders. At first, I was given an attic-style room, but it was difficult to move around in, and staying there for five days would have been tough. So, I spoke to the receptionist, Miguel, about it. He immediately changed my room to a bigger and even nicer one, which made me so happy. My whole stay was wonderful.

Alexa was incredibly helpful in guiding me to where I needed to go, and a kind man (I forgot to ask his name) helped me with my train apps. All the hotel and restaurant staff were so sweet and welcoming. I’d love to come back sometime soon!

Very nice hotel. Like most in Scandinavia, overpriced. And don’t even dream about an early check in (even 1 hour). Most high end European hotels are stuck on this. The hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous, but the room was *so* small we could barely fit our luggage and barely move around.
The general guest vibe is very 'instagram influencer' and I feel like having to deal with the other guests (one who tried to pocket my husband's phone as we were checking in?) left a bad taste in our mouths. This is a very nice hotel although it is starting to get a little older - the rooms could probably use an update soon. There is a lot of space to \"hang out\" in and a great rooftop and bar. The food is really good and the staff is well trained.

What a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a relatively large room, which is hard to come by in Europe.

It’s a very nice boutique hotel and the service was outstanding. The room however was just ok. Lighting was not good- room was dark. View out the window was into dirty industrial building roof. Minimal natural lighting. Bathroom just ok. But we really liked the location, the sidewalk bar, and the service. Very nice and friendly staff.

Very clean and lots of different seating areas inside and outside.
Great location, walking distance to lots of different attractions and so close to the metro to get to the airport.

Breakfast was good but a little over priced.

What let it down was it’s VERY overpriced for the stay and the size of the room was tiny and not a great view at all.

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were extremely impressed with the caliber and glass of the hotel! It was extremely classy and sophisticated. Everyone that worked there was so incredibly nice and full of conversation and information. It’s was old world elegance at its very best. The location was terrific. Walking distance from everything! “Sustainable”Air conditioning system is not very good in hot weather— which is not often in Copenhagen. Storage space in rooms is limited to one cabinet (no closet) but rooms are clean and comfy.

Fantastic place in a prime location. You are greeted right off in a welcoming manner and cared for during your stay. In house restaurant served up a lovely breakfast and bar was enjoyable and had good offerings. Right around the corner from the Royal Theater for ballet and walking distance from most city attractions. Fantastic place!

Location and service on the whole was very good. They provided us with late night food and drinks in lobby when we'd been left with no other options in the entire city. Room is a bit small; room service was inconsistent; and all the rooms face a central courtyard that is VERY noisy in the early morning. The public / general spaces, including the lobby, breakfast room and roof terrace are all lovely. They made nice design choices in all the finishes.

A stunning sanctuary... without room service

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Atrium on the roof is a stunning spot for breakfast. The location is convenient to the best shopping in the city as well as landmarks and restaurants. The beds are so comfortable, I slept like a baby. I do wish they had proper room service. Though they have plenty of food and drink options and multiple cafes and bar when I called to order a coffee and croissant before checkout on my last morning they said this was not a service they offered but would make a one time exception. This was mostly polite and I appreciated the exception greatly but could have done without the added, “we can’t do this for you everyday”.
