Just there for 1 day, but the time spent was amazing. The private island, Prickly Pear, wasnt in the description anywhere, but was one of the highlights of the 24 hour stay. Food and drinks were great. Ocean View room was ocean front and we could enjoy the sound of the waves at night. Highly recommend!

The oceanfront room had a large balcony with a beautiful view. The rooms were generally clean, however, some items needed to be repaired. Overall the staff was accommodating and friendly. Sometimes they needed to be reminded of requests made during the stay. The spa was wonderful.

I can't say enough about the service and staff. The entire butler staff was so accommodating especially when we dealt with Michael. All our excursions and transportation was handled by the butler staff. This was our second time at Hodges Bay Resort and it was even better than our first time. The food menu was more varied since the last time and we tried many of the items from each menu. Since we had a suite, we loved to order room dining and take our time and relax. My wife was thrilled with the spa which we didn't do last time. I loved that the staff restocked our fridge with water everyday. Great benefit and we gladly accepted not having to get our own bottled water. We went out to Prickly Pear island twice for snorkeling and swimming. It did rain briefly during the middle of the week and luckily it happened between our activities. We would definitely come back again.

The staff around the hotel was friendly and welcoming. My room was in a perfect location for a quiet and restful few days. The views around the resort were beautiful. Having the ability to go to Prickly Pear Beach from the shoreline was an added bonus. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the adult pool and beach. Overall, I came to Antigua to get away from the cold weather in New York and to relax, and The Hodges definitely helped me achieve both of those goals.

Natalia did fabulously with my massage and facial. Shanelle we very delicate and patient with my wax. Shane was very hospitable and friendly bell hop. 10/10 experience you won’t regret it!

The restaurant service was terrible, and the food was not great. The \"beach\" was small. The spa was unavailable the two times we tried to use it. One person can request to shut down the entire spa. The unsolicited text, WhatsApp and phone correspondence was so frequent and annoying I consider it spam. I had to block it.

It was such a great experience at the Hodge Bay Resorts. The staff is just amazing, and the service is excellent. There are tons of spaces and a great location. The resort is on the ocean, and the view is breathtaking. You can take a boat ride to Prickly Pearl Island and enjoy many other activities. It is family-friendly, so everyone can enjoy it.

The property is beautiful and very well kept. It is extremely quiet and relaxing. The private island Prickly Pear was a little disappointing, not much to it. I didn’t really care for the white sands restaurant staff. I feel like they were not very attentive (the daytime staff). Also watch the menu switcharoo, they try and charge more on the bill than the listed price on the menu. The front desk people were very nice and the cleaning people were on point. The food is good but very very very expensive. This hotel is close to nothing in walking distance so if you plan to explore the island get a rental car. The stay overall was good, but the hidden fees and overcharging for every little thing was pretty ridiculous. For some good food close by is a hidden little gem Called Canvas. It is a $10 5 minute cab ride there and the food is delicious. This resort is beautiful, my reason for the 8 out of ten is solely because of some of the restaurant staff.

Just like the taxi drivers in Antigua, the people working here will try to con and cheat you out of your money. Several times I had to correct bills they handed me with an extra charge snuck in. The receptionist even lied & told me I needed to pay for the room again even though I had fully paid on hotels.com. Had to spend a long time going back and forth with her. Food is mediocre. Breakfast is terrible and overpriced. Dinner is ok but overpriced. Even the fries aren’t tasty. It’s not worth the price

I had an amazing time at Hodges Bay. From when I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Jaheim (I hope I got his name right). He offered me and my guest a beverage and a cool towel since it was very hot outside. We were then given a tour of the grounds by Javid and Jamar and then quickly taken to our rooms, allowing us to unwind and relax. Throughout our stay, both Javid and Jamar were very helpful even assisting us with excursions off the property. The property itself was very lovely. Clean and beautiful! I couldn’t have asked for a better ocean front resort. The beds were comfortable and once I figured out how to get the shower water to a hot temperature, I was at ease. We never had to ask them to clean our space or ask for extra towels. The room was always well equipped with what we needed. I cannot forget to mention that upon our arrival to the room, they had fresh fruits and brownies waiting for us. The beach was beautiful and we had no issues with seaweed. Access to Prickly Pear was a bonus and I cannot put into words how beautiful the scenery was. Jean-Marie was a dear! She set up travel arrangements for Barbuda. She made sure we had a taxi to and from. Anything that we needed, she made happen and it never seemed like we were asking for too much. Tanika, Anastasia, and Tango were also amazing at the bar! Drinks were strong and delicious and the food even better. The pools, the spa… Omg the spa! Everything was amazing! Please do not hesitate to book here. You won’t regret it.

I went with some friends to stay at this resort and it was a lovely experience overall. Pros: The scenery is beautiful. The private island is probably the best part. Cons: The service could be better, the staff are not as attentive as I would have liked for a resort this size and caliber.

Never been to Antigua so inguessninshouldnhave done more research. When we arrived the staff was very nice champagne, took our bags parked our car showed us around. After that it was more like fend for yourself. We have a room with a butler ...met her for 30 seconds and that was it. Our refrigerator didnt work i told them nothing happened, three days never refilled our water until i called and it took 12 hours. They have staff everywhere and all theybdo is talk to eachother. Never ask if you want a drink at the beach or pool. Asked for coffee it literally took the 40 minutes in the restaurant. Rooms are ok overall. We have a beachfront with loungers that were never sunny and the staff never chnaged the covers they were dirty every day. Management really need to look to change the culture of the staff. It was literally like we were a nuisance being there.

A Wonderful Trip To Paradise
The resort is lovely and convenient to the airport. The staff (everyone) are very friendly and accommodating. We booked an Ocean Front Junior Suite and we could not have asked for anything more. The hotel has restaurants on sight and there are many close by. We also enjoyed spending the day at Prickly Pear Island. We were very happy with our stay!

Overall this resort is very nice. Beautifully designed and decorated and nice art work throughout. When we were there it was very quiet. Beach is small. Prickly Pear Island is a bonus and a beautiful spot to spend the day via a short complimentary boat ride. Food is OK not amazing. Most of the staff were very friendly and great service but at times the service was slow. This area is quite remote and not within walking distance to anything. St. Johns is 15 minute drive and English Harbour and area is 45 minutes. Great spot to relax and unwind but not much to do in the area.

Hudson Bay is a really nice place to stay at. Staff is friendly and the highlight is definitely the little island they also have, only 5 min boat ride - we preferred the lunch on the island instead of hotel!

It was very clean and not too crowded. I would have liked a walking path so i didn't have to go to the gym to exercise. My husband wasn't thrilled with all the steps and no elevator. Overall, though, was a very good experience.

We usually stay on the south shore but decided to stay on the north shore shore mainly due to price. Never again. The positives were it's closeness to the airport, the rooms were a good size, and the people in and out of the resort were very cordial, that's it. Oh and the pools were pretty.

Beautiful, clean resort with friendly and welcoming staff. 2 BR, 2 BA Oceanview suite was perfect for our family of 5. The pools were nice with plenty of chairs, towels, etc. Boat ride from resort to Prickly Pear Island was a great bonus. The roads around the property could use some maintenance but that's true of the entire country in general. We had an awesome overall experience. Highly recommend this place for some R&R. Wish they had a few more vegetarian options for my wife though.

Overall Hodges Bay was average at best. The resort/rooms were dated, staff wasn’t the friendliest, location of resort wasn’t in the best area. No entertainment on resort, cats were hanging in the buffet area jumping up under the set up where the food was. We will not be returning to this resort!

My room was full of mosquitos. I got bitten all over. Unacceptable. My shower barely had enough water coming out of it to shower. I was served bad mussels at dinner & breakfast was inedible. Breakfast also starts too late for people trying to catch morning flights to Barbuda. Art work was tasteless. A women in black lingerie with a rabbit’s head & smoking is not family friendly. Art work felt more like Mexican mafia party hotel artwork. Reviews are incorrect. Look like paid reviews. Overpriced for what is basically a Hilton.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hodges. The room and hotel grounds were immaculate. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The spa treatment was great; the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. There were multiple options daily. I would say their restaurants need a bit of work. It would be nice to have some Antiguan dishes on the menu. I would definitely stay at this property again however I’d eat lunch and dinner off property.

Beautiful property, amazing pools, water front dining, friendly staff ! The food at all restaurants was excellent. They have a water taxi for a short ride to a private island that has cabanas and en excellent bar and grill. The island is open monthly for a full moon party.
The bartenders, Delvin and Marvelous at Drift- the beach front bar were awesome. Some of the best drinks ever. I would recommend and would definitely return to this oasis!

Look no further and book at Hodges Bay Resort. It’s clean, beautiful accommodations, on-site restaurants and spa, family friendly pool and adult pool. I did not get a chance to visit prickly pear island or use the spa services but look forward to trying these during my next visit.
