We love coming here. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. We were a little disappointed that the kayaks weren’t out yet, but that just gives us another reason to come back. We’re hoping to return in the fall when the leaves are changing, as we can only imagine how stunning it will be. The scenery is incredible, the property is peaceful, and every visit leaves us wanting to come back again. Highly recommend! 🍁🍂🚣‍♀️❤️

We had a buisness/casual stay at the Jw, Rosseau and if I were to sum the short trip into one sentence, it would be:

“The JW Marriott Lake Rosseau was a country, relaxed vibe with good entertainment and activities.”

The restaurants were decent. Excellent options in near by towns. But you don’t have to leave the resort!

Beautiful location and well maintained grounds.

Please deep clean a bit more within the rooms. This was a minor detail but would be the extra mile!

From the first second you arrive, to the last turn out of the parking lot, this place thrives on perfection and it shows. All of the staff went over and above to make this an insanely unforgettable experience. We had the Studio Room with the Lake View, and was thoroughly impressed with the entire setup and of course, the view. If you want to cook up a storm, the room has a big enough fridge and a cooktop as well. Hydrospa is a must if you’re staying for more than two days. The only downside is leaving. Thanks Rae from the HydroSpa, and Jesus and all the front staff for going above and beyond. Definitely see you next year!

What can be said about this place that isn’t top shelf? Literally, if I was to say anything that wasn’t, it’s that the showers take a LONG time to get hot (5-7 mins). So you’ll have to wait for the hot water, but the shower is great and plenty hot when it gets there. But if that’s the ONLY thing that was a little off, everything else is 5 star. Thanks to Harsh and the front desk staff. Thanks to Sarurav and his wonderful kitchen staff. Special thanks to Shaun and Tapan behind the bar for the gracious hospitality. And thanks to Siddarth all the wonderful serving staff at the restaurants! We will surely be back to see your smiling faces! Thank you all for the amazing time!

To help save money, each room has a small
Cooktop and mini fridge (some rooms have full kitchens) pack food and make meals in your room. The restaurants are very pricey-especially for the amount of food you get. The buffet breakfasts however, are worth it if you have big eaters!

After we called back again, we waited another hour and nothing was brought to the room. After complaining to the front desk we had to ask for them to get us bagels from the cafe.

The room facilities were acceptable, but they did not quite live up to the hotel’s reputation. One of the sinks was clogged when we checked in, although it was fixed upon request. The shower glass door would not close properly, causing water to splash out into the bathroom.

Most of the staff were polite and friendly, which we appreciated. However, the housekeeping service needs improvement. Our room was not cleaned at all the second day, even after I reminded the staff. It was still not done two hours later, which was quite disappointing. I then called the front desk to request clean towels instead, and it took over 40 minutes for them to be delivered.

Overall, the service level was not what we expected.

Everything was excellent, except for the unexpected $30 per night self-parking fee. I found this charge both surprising and unreasonable, given that the resort is located in a remote area where parking has historically been complimentary prior to November 2025. Imposing a parking fee in this context feels unjustified—comparable to charging guests extra to use basic in-room amenities such as the shower!

I had an amazing stay at Marriott Muskoka and couldn’t be happier with how well I was treated. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond — they were incredibly attentive and genuinely checked in throughout the day to make sure everything was going well. The spa was absolutely amazing and such a relaxing highlight of the trip. On top of that, the restaurants were excellent, with great food and service. Overall, the experience felt thoughtful, welcoming, and truly special. I can’t wait to come back!

There was a surprise parking charge of $30 / night. That is a completely ridiculous charge for parking. They had a large conference and couldn't control them at night. They were very loud outside in the main area until 2am. Not sure why no staff didn’t do anything about this. I got little sleep for two nights because of this.
I have been going here for 15 years and this was the worse experience I have ever had. They wouldn't even waive the parking charges which were not listed on my expedia invoice.

I loved the staff, but for the huge hotel bill…I am quite disappointed with some of the details:

My family and I have been staying at the JW Marriott for over 10 years- since it first opened. As usual, the staff was amazing- in fact better than ever. The location and luxurious setting as usual speaks positively for itself.

However there were some serious issues this time which I think need to be addressed especially for such an expensive hotel.

AMENITIES Of the 2 showers in the ladies change room in the swimming pool area- one was broken and didn’t work, the other never got hot. The same problem with some of the room showers- (we went with a large group- complaints all around).
The hot tub was also not working some of the time…

IMPORTANT-The icy steel handles leading into outdoor water facilities caused cuts and tears on our kids hands (my daughter’s hand tore open in several places and had to be professionally bandaged by the hotel medic)… this could have been prevented- and handles should have been wrapped in rubber…

IN ROOM In room sofa bed (they knew we needed to use it) missing sheets, pillows, blankets

The kitchen looks great… but no pots to cook with…

PARKING: why charge for parking? We are not in the city… this is a large property with huge parking space and nothing around…. Surely for the huge hotel bill, parking should be included.

I think the hotel needs some more attention paid to the details in order to justify charging such large resort fees.

My experience was mediocre and did not feel like a good value for the money. The resort lacked adequate family entertainment and \"fun\" factors. While the staff was okay, the facilities need attention—specifically regarding cleanliness in common areas.
Inside the room, the beds were uncomfortable, and the balcony doors were sealed shut despite the heating not regulating properly. For a luxury price, I expected a much higher standard of comfort and engagement.

The only downside was that the room was not really soundproof. There were some guests partying over midnight and it was really noisy and annoying to us.

Room key didn’t work at all and nobody could fix it. As a result we lost a 50th anniversary dinner with family waiting under door after swimming in the pool. Staff promised us next day to reimburse 100% and ask to wait 10 days. After 10 days I received a message that hotel will not do it. Will never visit JW Marriott and do not recommend to my Facebook friends.

Our stay was awesome, I have no issues. Only thing I would recommend is change all the shower heads to hand held. The shower is small and uncomfortable to give a child a shower when the shower head is so high and the shower is a 3’ X 3’. Hand held shower head is the best thing in washing yourself. We stayed in the 2 bedroom executive suite. There was 8 of us and one night we cooked dinner. I lt will be nice if there was more bowls to put our food to serve from.

This property is located in the most beautiful spot. The service was great. The room was clean and spacious. The reason for 4 stars was only because our bathroom's toilet tank would drip water and refill through all the time. The noise did not let me sleep and also on a sustainability point of view that is not reasonable. I called and they sent someone to our room, but they said they could not help.

The room was dirty hair in the Bath Tub.. I used 24 Lysol wipes to clean room. I rate cleanliness a 1 overall and rate property a 8. Had to call for towels and to have room cleaned. Cleaning staff are rude.
Front desk was not helpful in facilitating a good outcome with cleaning staff.

Definitely not a place for young kids. The beach is extremely far (down about 100-150 large stone steps) meaning we had to carry our daughter every time. When we called a shuttle to get us at the lake to bring us back to the hotel, it never came. I had to call the front desk 4x to get them to bring the bags to our room. The kiddie pool is extremely far from the resort. The elevators broke down. I got an eye infection and our entire family got noro after staying there :(. Beautiful views - but not for families. Front desk was horrendous and rude. Check in was a disaster (rooms were not ready on time - which is a pain after travelling all that way to get there with young kids). We ate at one of the restaurants and the kids salmon was completely raw inside (like sushi-level raw). Room was dirty (probably how we all got noro and possibly how I got an eye infection). Overall, don’t bring your family here. The “beach” is extremely small and not big enough for everyone and people just leave their garbage there so it was SO dirty.
