Check in staff was very friendly! We loved the city pass and enjoyed a day at the local swimming pool. Check in staff also gave us many brochures on things to do in the surrounding area. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Martin, the host, was the best! He was kind and always ready to help and give advice. The location is amazing! Right next to a supermarket but a bit tucked away so that it doesn’t feel like you are close to a road. The garden is nice, the room epic, and most of all you get the real Austria experience without to many tourist. Walking distance to a beautiful river where the kids can play. Close to the most beautiful mountain trails and lifts up to the mountain. Free entrée to a great swimming pool only 5 minutes away. Highly recommended!!

The owner has a brillant knowledge of the local area, theres a very good supermarket close by. The breakfast buffet is very good with different breads, meat, cheese and homemade jams. Theres even a good selection of beers and soft drinks for sale if you want to chill out in evening. Rooms spotless. A lovely holiday.

This was my second stay at Bergfrieden and I love this place. A two minute walk to the supermarket. The hotel is very close to the Alpenbad. Martin and his family helps you feel right at home and so accommodating. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. There is also a tea bar upstairs. I hope to visit again next summer. Thank you Martin!

Absolutely wonderful!!

Outstanding! Close to a market, close to restaurants, swim facility and other local attractions, but nestled within a small community away from the chaos of a big city. Excellent breakfast. Very courteous and caring staff. I hope that we have the need to stay in this area again. This hotel will be my FIRST choice for any visits! Absolutely loved it!!

Awesome Views and even awesome managers

If you want a great get away but not to far from activities this is it. Three of us went and we enjoyed it very much. Martin was awesome, he even helped us with sight seeing ideas and suggestions. The location is surrounded by mountains and was beautiful. If you enjoy peace and quiet and the view here is your next hotel.

Good all round place to stay

An unpretentious family run hotel, but with everything needed for a comfortable and convenient stay in this fabulous part of the Tyrol. Spacious, clean room and comfy beds. Very welcoming and super-helpful staff, especially \"mine host\" Martin (an uncanny doppelganger for Claudio Ranieri!!) who is a mine of information and fluent in English. Our only slight negative - breakfast became rather repetitive. But this did not really detract, and we had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended, especially for those intent upon enjoying the surrounding area and environment to the full.

Small town hotel close to everything local

Family owned guest house located a block of the main street of a small mountain town. Owners are very friendly and helpful in deciding which local attractions to visit. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. Most lodging in Europe that has not upgraded to air conditioning for those few hot days at least have a fan for each bed in the room. As the weather was hot until late evening, Bergfrieden needed some fans. The fans would have been useful most of the night, the nights we were there. Overall, we were happy.

Clean place and nice staff, but some issues here..

While I enjoyed the setting, it was difficult to figure out where to enter the premise and where to find the main office to check in. The room was clean and comfortable, and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. However, I did not expect our balcony to be a community balcony. It was a little surprising to find people sitting right outside our open window when we entered our room. Additionally, this hotel is advertised as a smoke free location. That clearly only refers to inside the rooms, because there are ashtrays outside of each room on the balcony. Unfortunately guests in the neighboring rooms were heavy smokers and we had to breath in their smoke all night. Closing the windows was not an option with the hot weather.

Fantastic guest house, the most helpful host ever

This was the perfect place to stay after 3 months on the road. Martin, the host, was the most helpful of any I have come across in more than 40 years of traveling. He pointed us to some great hikes and events giving us excellent advice. The room was very comfortable and in an excellent, quiet location.

Stayed for 6 nights in Pension Bergfrieden for an outdoors getaway. The location in Weidach, Leutasch was ideal for the many alpine walks, cycle hires, etc. There's some good local restaurants within walking distance and a fresh food supermarket literally 3 doors away. En-suite room with the decor little dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Ample parking, good wi-fi and a delicious continental breakfast every morning. Dinners are also available for order at night if you don't fancy eating out.

For us, the real highlight was Martin & his family running the hotel who were an excellent hosts. Friendly, accommodating and above all, makes great recommendations for daily activities taking into account the weather which can be a bit unpredictable. Will be back again for sure.

Fantastic!

Our first trip to Austria and we could not have been happier - such a beautiful location, surrounded by mountains. The hotel is located in a smaller town / large village with some facilities, but if you need more, Seefeld is just down the road. You get free access to the swimming pool complex in Leutasch, which is the best swimming pool I've ever been to. We stayed in the apartment - very spacious, clean etc. Also has a small balcony. Martin, the owner, is so very friendly and always at hand to give advice on where to go. We had breakfast a couple of times (the homemade jams are lovely) and dinner once, both very nice. There is also a games room with table tennis and a couple of go karts in the garden, which all the children seemed taken with. We would certainly consider returning.

Can't say enough about the owner/operator Martin. Spoke perfect English and made my son and I feel at home.

Rooms are clean and nice. Rooms were cleaned up everyday by the staff and the complementary breakfast was great

EXCELLENT service!

There was a slight mix up on when my family would be arriving, but the owner took it upon himself to reserve another hotel for the same price or give us a queen size and twin bed in a nice size room with free breakfast and a discount. I thought that was what room I had booked anyway, so I was beyond shocked and pleased. The owner spoke amazing English, was incredibly kind/polite, and catered to our every need without hesitation or question. He sat down with us and told us a little about the area, gave us a local map, and some brochures to help keep us busy, which I liked. Also included in our stay were visitors passes to the neighborhood's indoor/outdoor pool and playground and there was a swing/play set in the yard for our daughter. There's beautiful scenery surrounding and a free gorge very near by to hike around. So, not only was the service outstanding, but it was a gorgeous and relaxing area to spend the weekend in! - The breads and jams are homemade for breakfast, the juice is most likely fresh pressed at the hotel as well. &the jam is incredible! Couldn't leave without buying a jar, hehe. Actually, it was given to us by the owner for free, which I thought was the sweetest thing ever! The owner also took pleasure in take our drink order in the morning, in case we wanted coffee, hot chocolate, or water. He was incredible, to say the least!

The quality of the service by the owner was perfect. Martin quickly took care of our every need and was a delightful person. The rooms are clean and well taken care of, the breakfast was delicious, the play room with the foosball and ping pong tables was perfect for the children, and the recommendations of sight seeing activities were excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfekt boende i en lugn by. Nära till många vandringsleder och ett badhus med utomhus- och inomhuspool som barnen älskade efter vandringar. Mataffär och restaurang i samma kvarter. Väldigt vänlig personal. Mysig trädgård. Vi kände oss som hemma.

Ottima sistemazione in un paesaggio incantevole.

L'acrive Pension Bergfrieden è una location ottimale per qualche giorno tra le le meravigliose montagne austriache, in un paesaggio splendido e panorami mozzafiato. Il gestore è stato di grande simpatia, sia al telefono che di persona. La stanza per la nostra famiglia molto ampia e luminosa, pulita e comoda. Letti con materassi confortevoli, tv-sat free (con pochi canali italiani, al lettore il giudicare se ciò sia un bene o un male) con televisori in ciascuna stanza da letto, uno a schermo molto grande e l'altro comunque abbastanza grande, wi-fi gratuito, veloce ed affidabile, frigobar in stanza. Solamente il bagno era forse un po' datato.
Colazione abbondante e ottima, con un caffè espresso più che decoroso; a disposizione degli ospiti anche una stanzetta con cialde di caffè, filtri da tè e alcuni snack, a pagamento.
Delizioso il giardinetto, con anche un rivolo d'acqua artificiale che viene da una fontana a forma di pietra. Carina anche la stanza dei giochi con biliardino e ping-pong. Peccato solo che non vi sia un ristorante interno, ma le opzioni nelle immediate vicinanze non mancano.
Decisamente consigliato

Hyggeligt hotel mit i de østrigske alper.

Vi havde et dejligt værelse, hvor bad og toilet besynderligt nok var i hver deres rum. Der stod at der var wifi, men vi havde svært ved at få forbindelse med det på telefonen, dog var wifi'en ikke så vigtig for os.
Hotellets personale var meget hyggelige og venlige, man følte sig meget velkommen. Der var dejlig morgenmad, der kunne tilkøbes på hotellet.
Vi blev tilbudt fribilletter til den lokale svømmehal, hvor man kunne få refunderet p-afgiften på hotellet, dejlig service som vi desværre ikke nåede under vores ophold.

Wir haben das Hotel als Zwischenstopp für unseren Sommerurlaub gewählt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer haben noch den Charm aus den 80ziger Jahren. Aber genau das macht das Hotel aus. Es ist sauber und ordentlich und hat eine tolle Lage in den Bergen.

Nice welcome, but late breakfast :-(

We have paid 123 € for a double bed + an added single bed, breakfast included, but breakfast starts at 8:00 am. Too late for us. We had to leave at 7:00, without breakfast. And we didn't have any discount ... what a pity!!
