Rooms are very nice but would not be good if you have difficulty with stairs. The elevator only stops between the room floors (ceiling height is very high so you still have to climb 10 stairs from the elevator). Area is not the nicest, but conveniently near the train station. You need to walk 2 - 3 blocks to find a nice restaurant.

I loved my stay at Hotel Cristal. It was such a pleasant surprise as I just wanted to book an inexpensive hotel by the train station so I could crash after a late train in. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, I was greeted with a large bottle of complimentary water, and the included breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The room was small but clean and updated, and the air conditioning worked great. The short walk from the train station to the hotel felt very safe (you can see the hotel out the side entrance of the train station) and I got a nice late meal half a block away. I wouldn’t go much further into the surrounding area alone after dark but it was a great place to spend the night before catching a train to the airport in the morning.

It was okay, right next to Frankfurt Main Central Station. I didn't hear much noise from the trains but more noise of people wandering around late at night. It is an older building with small room size for single person. It has air conditioning which is perfect during the summer and descent wi-fi. TV was all in German though, Front desk allow me 1 hour early check-in. I also received a free bottle water. Staff was great and free breakfast was descent. Great for a backpacker like me or a 1 night stay for connecting flights

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Hotel Christall. It is very close to the Frankfurt Hbf which was important to us. The air-conditioned room was perfect for our one-night stay. Breakfast was just right. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. While it was a bit of a walk, we enjoyed going to the river and an older part of the city. We would stay again.

The Hotel Cristall is very reasonably priced, just a few minutes walk from the train station, very comfortable and quiet, and the service was very good. About the only down side was the steps at the front door and the fact that the lift stopped between floors, requiring luggage to be man-handles up or down a half-flight of stairs - not a big problem, just a bit of effort required. We would definitely stay here again.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. 1st of all, if you have big baggage, good luck to you as this hotel does not have a lift on the registering floor. When you enter the hotel, there's a flight of stairs up to the registering counter. Once you're done checking in, there's another flight of stairs you need to descend to get the lift up to your room. When the lift door opens, you have to descend another flight of stairs to your room level. It's a lot of hassle. There's no staff to help with your baggage. 2nd unpleasant experience has to do with the server in the breakfast area. I strongly urge the management to leave her in the kitchen where there's zero guest contact. On the first morning, there was a loud bang on our door and came the yelling 'breakfast!' We were in shock. Who yells at guests to go for breakfast?! It was 9 am and the breakfast ends at 10! When we got down, we realized she was in charge of the breakfast area. She was pulling a face at us. When I approached her if the kitchen does boiled eggs, she looked at me without answering my question and said '1 min'. I was like what?! asked you again in 1 min? Then a little while later, she came in, looked into a big can, and grudgingly said 'eggs in here'. I'm like seriously who will know the eggs are in there?! So rude. The second morning, the bang and the yell again. This time I checked the can for eggs, none. I told her. She checked said 'it's finished' I said 'so?' She gestured 'too bad.' I left without eating.

Great location, right behind the main train station! The room was very nice. I must say it was the tiniest hotel room I've been in. But it was comfortable, had everything it needed to have, and was a good value. I suspect the small size came from remodeling an older building to have a bathroom in each room. La chambre est simple et propre, avec des rangements penderie astucieux en tête de lit, des prises un peu plus proche du lit pourrait être un plus mais dans l'ensemble la chambre est tout à fait fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon ! La réceptionniste du soir parlait français c'est toujours un petit plus agréable (mais pas nécessaire). La gare centrale est à 2 minutes à pied, parfait pour moi qui voyage en train et la vieille ville est à 15/20minutes à pied donc très facile à rejoindre.
