We enjoyed our visit very much. The staff was extremely friendly and flexible for our needs. The facility is dated, but they work hard to keep things tidy and comfortable. It’s easy to reach and just a minute or two from several food venues. We’ll definitely go there again.

The night we arrived the power was out to the whole area including the hotel, though no fault of their own, and they had generator power, the air conditioning was not working on generator power. The hotel itself looked like it was going through some sort of minor renovation on the first floor hallway and that was kind of an eyesore. The room itself was outdated and the wallpaper was peeling. The facility just needs improvement for the price we paid. They clearly jacked up the price because of a special event in the general area and it was not worth what we paid.

Owner supplied more towels and pillow upon asking. Bathtub stopper broken. Very few breakfast options - 2 bland cereals, bagels, and glazed doughnuts; no cream cheese for bagels just butter packets. Whole milk was sour but owner replaced upon asking. Owner threw birdseed out in parking lot that we had to walk through to get to our car.

i should have looked for another hotel when i pulled up and saw a car not 6 feet away from the door that had i think the catalyitic converter exhaust system laying on the ground and , my guess was the son of the hotel manager actively working on it . it got worse after that The room had mold and mildew in the shower , and water damage marks spanning the whole room ceiling area. The electrical outlets blew our phone chargers stating detection moisture phone will not charge, since they new bought chargers worked in the car it was coming from the electrical outlets itself. Combined with the water damage ceiling area i can deduce the electrical outlets are at fault.My best recommendation is stay away from this hotel there are better ones around that you do not have to go to sleep worrying about what you are breathing in or what is going to spark from the electrcal problem.

In my experience , this Super 8 doesn't deserve the poor reviews. For my stay, everything was fine. The room and bathroom were clean, everything worked, and it was very quiet. Bonus for guest laundry facilities. The breakfast was minimal as other reviews have noted, but overall it's just what you wold expect from a Super 8

The property is in dire need of a major update. The people running it are living there. They advertise continental breakfast but there was nothing but coffee and some stale looking donuts. The carpet is very worn and needs replaced. The entire motel needs a complete remodel. At present it is being let go and has for a while. The owners are only interested in collecting money from overnight room fees and not putting anything back into maintaining the facility. Would not stay there again.

You will not show my honest review

No one is ever at the front desk . I believe the owners live there , you dial O on house phone and maybe someone will come out . No maid service the next day . Would not come to desk at check out the woman on phone said just leave the key so I did not get a receipt . I was asked at check in if I would take a room with one bed . I asked if it were less expensive than the 2 bed room I paid for and was told no . Empty shampoo bottle from previous guest still in the shower . Took shower at 5:00 am when most are sleeping but hot water had to be turned to full hot . Stop being so cheap and turn the thermostat up . Corn flakes in breakfast area were simi fresh . Totally true , there was a dead pigeon on the sidewalk not far from the entrance . These owners were not spending a penny but we’re doing everything to maximize profit . Then they will sell and go to a new location and start over .

Pros- My room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked, tv had good channels
Cons- quite a few but my main issue was this *BEWARE* I was charged an additional $10 fee plus tax beyond expedia for my 16 year old son traveling with my husband even though we asked for no extra keys,towels and only one person ate \"breakfast.\" When initially questioned at check in was told age 10 and over counts as a 3rd person and I did not check that on my reservation. I chalked it up to my error until just for giggles I tried to book a room the same night via expedia and the room price difference wasone penny. When I brought it up to the other front desk employee (owner?) he said it didnt matter, expedia prices aren't right. We were tired and just needed a place to lay our heads (bring pillows because each full bed only has 2 pillows) so it was ok for 1 night. When we arrived in the room, the fridge was being defrosted and no one knew if the fridge was working however the owner addressed that quickly. Breakfast was bare minimum.
Overall the hotel was what we needed and we felt pretty safe but if planning a more than 1 night crash with more than 2 people (or kids over 10) this is not the place for you.

This was a nice place for an overnight stay. The rooms were clean and the place was well kept and in a good location. For the price, we were well pleased. Sometimes less expensive motels can appear good in pictures, but the reality leaves something to be desired or it is in a bad or unsafe location. Not so with this one! I felt perfectly safe staying here with my young children.

Hotel is in bad shape. Carpet is nasty with a capital N, stained, coming up from the floor and damp. I had no hot water, took a cold shower. AC could barely keep up. The whole place smelled bad. Coffee maker had crusties inside the water hold. Front office was not very friendly. I think she said two words to me at check in and never made eye contact. I would not recommend staying here unless you are desperate.

It’s nothing more than just ok. Not easy to find, located at the end of an alleyway access. Second floor facing the interstate good for big city noise enthusiasts. Our bathroom was sized for elves so getting up from the toilet is tough, then stooping down to use the sink is a lesson in midgetry. There was a basketball size hole in our blanket that is hidden by the comforter. I kept a piece of the rotten blanket material in case of accusation of damage claim. I’m sure the room is better than Indian slum, but I shouldn’t have found that huge hole. I recommend traveling with your own pillow if you stay here. Don’t count on breakfast unless you demand cold cereal and coffee, 1 carafe each of milk and coffee. The morning after I heard complaint of mold in refrigerator, we didn’t have a refrigerator to complain about. If you’re tired and don’t expect too much this place is just ok.

Super 8 turned out to be a popular place to stay for hikers. It is conveniently located next to the interstate and near the grocery store and credit union ATM. At the age of 72, I appreciated the non-smoking room on the main level--especially with having to haul all of my stuff in for a week-long stay for hiking.

The room was clean on the average. The first item we did not like was the TV remote did not work. Like at home the first thing we do is open it and adjust the batteries. The batteries were all corroded inside. Took it to front desk and they just gave us another remote; OK by us. The second item was when we used the microwave...no glass \"plate\" . You had to lay your food on the bottom of the microwave. TV reception on HBO, Cinemax, etc. was constantly in and out, both pic and sound. Next it was the shower. I enjoy a hot shower. When turned all the way to the hot side you barely got warm water.
Free Breakfast...what a joke. All they had was Regular coffee, 6-8 plain cake donuts, and 2 choices of dry cereal with milk.
Even as a Super 8 Motel this facility had the barest essentials. I would not stop at this place as a Super 8 Motel again. I deem this place as below VRBO standards. We have stayed at many VRBO's and have always been very very satisfied.

Water in bathroom shower would not turn off, constant stream. Phone was not plugged in. When plugged in it did not work. Bathroom shower and toilet was very questionable. TV reception was very bad especially for a town that has Fiber internet. On many occasions no one was at the front desk and a sign said call 0 or 509. Our phone in the room did not work so we could not call. A sign was posted at the front desk that said \"No Cancellations after 15 minutes\". Now I know why.

For the room's price, I did not expect much but the actuality to match the advertisement. Pictures of this hotel on the web are entirely edited. It is okay in the front desk area. Still, down the hallway and throughout the room I stayed in displayed poor care for housekeeping and repairs as stains covered the walls, carpet, and furniture aligned with a lot of noticeable rust.

We stayed 2 nights. Our microwave did not work but the front desk immediately gave us a new one. Half of the lights did not work but we had enough to get by. The rooms could use some updating, especially the carpet. We hung the do not disturb sign on our door the first night but removed it at 11AM and went on about our day, only to return to no housekeeping. (Our room was not that dirty, but some toilet paper would have been appreciated) The good thing is that the beds were very comfortable and the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful if we had a question or issue. For the price, I would say that I would stay again if I needed to stay in Erwin.

When I arrived at the hotel to check in, my reservation had been cancelled. They said they didn't have a credit card to pay for the room. I told them that the Expedia site stated that the room could be paid at the hotel and that the night before the site stated that there was no need to confirm. They then offered me a smoking room that reeked of smoke. I refused that room due to my allergies. They called the Mountain Inn & Suites and got me a room there. They did give me the same rate for the room but the overall checkout total was slightly higher. The refrigerator in that room did not work. That hotel was further away from the festival which meant I had to drive daily and pay for parking daily. (the Super 8 was within walking distance). I wasn't the only one that this happened too. The man in front of me during checkin was having the same problem. And one of the dealers at the festival had the same issues. It was a very disappointing situation.

the room was outdated, the bed spread had a lot stains on it ,like from a woman's period. The carpet had torn places int he area near the bathroom door, the bathroom lid on the john had a few cut marks on it, the floor was sticky and the walls in the bathroom was sticky also, the towels and the wash cloths was real ruff the water , when I flushed it, didn't have enough water pressure to wash all the toilet paper down I would have left but they had a big sign said no refunds, I had a job interview the next morning so I tried to make the best of it. The property is long in the tooth and could use some upgrading. The carpet in my room needed a good stem cleaning. There were large stains everywhere. Also, I was told breakfast ended at 10am. Verified traveler

The shower head stopped working the second day of our stay. There was stains on the blankets, there was a water stain on the ceiling from a past leak, the toilet had a hard time flushing and I felt the need to wear flip flops on the shower.
