Khaya Ndlovu is a rare gem. The beautifully curated indoor and outdoor spaces on the manor strike the perfect balance between elegance and homeliness. All the staff provide perfect but at the same time very relaxed and super friendly service. The food is delicious. South African hospitality at its best!

Great hotel in the middle of a private reserve

The hotel was great! Food and service was nice, and most of the facilities were in great condition. We went on two game drives which were really well run, with very knowledgeable staff. We hope to return one day soon!

Good for first or last night especially

Very close and convenient to Hoedspruit Airport (about 5 min)
It’s a big lovely manor type house with rooms in the main house (I think) and another external house, gathering living room type spaces, a nice pool backyard area.
I think they are their own smaller game reserve, but we didn’t do a drive there. This is a good place to book just a room w/o drives included for much less. They “dehorn” their rhinos to prevent against poaching. There’s great debate on this subject. It WAS cool to see 4 rhinos at the waterhole during breakfast on the first day of our trip and also first day of 2019.
A full 3 course dinner is supposed to be included in nightly rate, but we stayed over NYE & they had a party.... which sounded nice, but instead of a proper dinner, we were just served finger foods (after 2 days of traveling).
We were invited to the manor’s NYE party, where we were offered drinks, so we were a bit surprised to get charged for them at check out.
The rooms we had were lovely (rooms 3 & 4). we were not in the main house, but in an additional wing.
Especially Loved the decor of the bathrooms. We had a family room which was MUCH more space than my son & I needed. There was a living room, a sort of dining room with antiques, 2 bedrooms with comfy beds and 2 bathrooms.
The Staff was very friendly & helpful. We loved the tortoise that strolls along the grounds.
Great spot for massages overlooking watering whole, lovely & refreshing pool & common sitting area

Exemplary service, decor, and food. The Manor House, located within the Khaya Ndlovu Reserve, also has the best view in the lowveld. Relax by the infinity pool overlooking the waterhole, take a helicopter ride, or go on a game drive, the staff at The Manor House will see to your needs.
We spent the most relaxing Sunday by the pool. Drinks and food were brought to us by Surprise, just one of the well-trained and hospitable staff on site. Our room was tastefully decorated and the bed was VERY comfortable. The Manor House feels like a home away from home. We hoped to stay again on our next trip to Hoedspruit.

Amazing location and warm hospitality

Our only regret was having just one night at this idyllic hotel. The outside areas were stunning and we saw warthogs and impala at the watering hole at sundown. The staff make the real difference here with their warm hospitality, In particular, George really impressed us throughout our entire stay as well as the magnificent chef , Shane.

Perfect relaxation on a privately game reserve.

We booked just for an overnight stay because we wanted to be close to Hoedspruit for shopping before going into Kruger.
We were surprised that the Manor House is in a private game reserve. Had we know we would have stayed longer in order to fully enjoy the premises which are stunning and do game drives too. They also have a special treat for guests with a rhino interaction.

A Gem- Great location, views and service!!!

Absolutely loved this small boutique hotel and would highly recommend. On a game reserve with a wonderful view of the mountains and a close by watering hole for animal watching from a wonderful pool and veranda breakfast area. Very quiet and relaxing!!! Great service from all the staff - completed with fancy chef prepared multi-course breakfasts and dinners served family style (with the owners and included in the price) on the veranda and spa treatment (if you wish to pay extra.) A spacious suite with a nice outdoor and indoor sitting area decorated in very upscale Africa country house style. About a mile drive into Hoedspruit for shopping/ attractions and about 45 minutes from the Orlen gate of Kruger. The only negatives may be the WIFI is a bit slow in the room (but okay given the rural location) and it is way too easy to drink more than you planned and run a bar tab lounging on the patio with nice glass of South African wine each day.

we stayed overnight at Kaya Ndlovu as we had just bought property on the neighbouring estate and wantd to see our house from the other side of the river.

service, food and place were first class.

just to the management of Kaya Ndlovu, thier guide Honest should not drive at 50 to 60 KM per hour with guest in the back of the vehicle at night on a sand road

A wonderful experience in the wild

This property is amazing. Their theme is \"Home away from Home\" and that exactly what my family and I felt during the 3 nights we spent there. The staff were really helpful and friendly and made us feel like we were surrounded by family. Meals, all free by the way, were nice and prepared by an extremely talented chief. We shared these meals with other guests and made a couple of friends in the process. The owner also joined us sometimes for breakfast and dinner.

The location is in the middle of an african reserve and surrounded by nature. It is an hour and half from Kruger park and other safari destinations. We really loved the place and we will come again to indulge in this peaceful and quite atmosphere. The only complained I had is the slow internet connection which is expected in a remote place like this.

Thanks to the whole staff for the amazing experience - Emma, Clayton, Trevor, Princess, Sebastian, Yan, Ray, and everyone....

A gem of a place

The manor house is beautiful, the staff are wonderful and the setting (inside a game park) is fantastic. We only booked one night here as a place to stay on our way to Kruger park, however, if we'd known how wonderful this place is, we definitely would have booked two nights. The main difficulty is finding the place... Siri unhelpfully navigates you to an army base! (The locals, however, will lead you in the right direction.) I almost don't want to give this place a good review for fear that too many people will come and it will lose it's current charm, but since it's unlikely I'll be able to visit South Africa again anytime soon, it's of no personal sacrifice to let others in on this wonderful sanctuary. Enjoy!

Excellent choice for a bush getaway

Khaya Ndlovu is a stylish spacious home with an amazing view, lovely pool and relax area, good dining and access to game drives or exploring the area. The staff are excellent, thanks to all (special compliments to George and JP the chef). We visited Kapama (great game viewing), drove through the reserve (very pretty), visited the spa, and relaxed by the pool. Lovely meeting the travelers staying there too (but appreciated that we could eat at another table if we wanted to). Hope to be back.

The Perfect Choice

So from where shall i begin? Everything was more than perfect.
The staff is so friendly, they will facilitate everything: activities, tips and advices. Special thanks to Kate who is beyond friendly and will make u feel ur at home. Special thanks as well to Gareth, the well experienced game driver who will take u on an unforgetable drive.
The lodge is very clean, has all the amenities required. Rooms are specious.
Food was fantastic and the rate includes breakfast and dinner.
You won't have a better view than their infinity pool, with animals playing and eating with your eye sight.
Price in my opinion was very reasonable.
Overall experience was extraordinary, go there if you are looking for a life changing trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Khaya Ndlovu Manor House. The hospitality was consistently great; from the gate keeper, to the manager, to the butler,... We were wonderfully taken care of.
The staff and owners made our stay a wonderful experience. A special thank you to Goerge for his contagiously jolly attitude, TJ for the delicious meals and providing for our special requests.
We will definitely consider Khaya Ndlovu Manor House for our next visit to the Hoedspruit.

The best thing about this place is the impeccably trained staff--and that's saying something considering how lovely the grounds are. Everything here is wonderful and relaxing--the pool, the views, the rooms, the food--all exquisite. But again, the staff are the ones who really make it special. I had such a lovely stay here and will definitely return!

Beautiful place very relaxing felt like home without any chores. Met with many friendly people on large tables with nice food & service. Safari was great with Chris who knows Kruger well. Rooms are huge & comfy plenty of places to relax in many huge rooms & beautiful gardens.

More than I bargained for

I had been traveling around SA for about a month when I got to the Krueger area. My plan was to in from the south and work my way north. Got on expedia and found this place. Turns out it is surrounded by a private game reserve, you need to enter a gate before you get to the compound. Also, it includes dinner which expedia did not mention. Very good room and public areas. Great staff. Look at their website not the expedia shortened version. Highly recommend.

Really lovely stay.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night (en route between safari and airport) but wish we'd allowed two as the place was so lovely and such a relaxing place to be. Gorgeous decor, fab evening meal and really warm, friendly staff. Couldn't fault it.

A slice of Heaven

This amazing place is so relaxing and welcoming. Surrounded by a private game reserve, where you may see giraffe, warthog or jackal on the way to the lodge. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming. The food is delicious and the view from the lodge stunning. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place to my friends and family. A real out of Africa experience!!

Lovely romantic setting ideal for relaxing stay

Beautiful lodge setting with great views and top notch service. The management and staff makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive at the airport. Airport is only 10 minute ride away which is a plus. Great food, pool, and service is second to none. My wife and I had a lovey time and didn't want to leave! Highly recommend this resort and can't wait to go back!

First of all, the good experience started before we arrived to the hotel. The staff was very helpful giving us tips, suggestions and arranging transport and all those things,by email.
The hotel, a really guest house, is awesome. Really unbelievable, like living a dream. Everything was fantastic, delicious food, stunning views (you can see a lot of animals from the pool deck, while you are enjoying drink), comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and ready to help us in anything that we wanted.
If I have the chance to come back, I definitely will stay here again.

Amazing staff and safari experience

I spent 3 days and had an amazing stay at Khaya. The property is in a great location and has wonderful views of the mountains. The extremely attentive staff makes you feel like at home. The game drives they offer are great value for the money and the chef, that was the biggest surprise! Totally recommend it.

Março 2019 no Kruger

O hotel é fantástico e os funcionários externamente atenciosos.
Gastronomia muito boa, com ótimo jantares e café da manhã.
A vista da piscina é sem igual, possível avistar animais bem próximo do lago. Altamente recomendado fazer o game drive da reserva do próprio hotel, vimos mais animais que no próprio Kruger, leões, rinos, girafas, zebras, etc, os guias são muito experientes, os carros podem sair das trilhas e entrar mata adentro, diferente do Kruger.
Os quartos são muito confortáveis, porém o único inconveniente é que havia uma porta trancada entre o nosso quarto e o do vizinho, provavelmente para estender o quarto no caso de uma família estar hospedada, isso incomodou um pouco, pois era possível ouvir claramente a conversa do vizinho.

Bästa hotellet i Sydafrika

Helt fantastiskt hotell, exakt vad man vill få uppleva på en Afrikaresa! Vi fick ett superfint mottagande redan ute på parkeringen av ägarinnan med personal. Vi fick exakt den sviten som vi hade beställt och den var precis så fin som den ser ut på bilderna. Rummet var rent och fräscht liksom resten av hotellet och det är utmärkt service. Restaurangmaten var utmärkt nästan sagolik och vi uppskattade verkligen att kocken själv kom ut och berättade om rätterna som skulle serveras, det var också bra på grund av allergier hos flickvännen. Kocken gjorde ett utmärkt jobb med detta och det blev inte ett enda fel. Ligger man och tar en drink i den underbara lagom varma infinitypolen så har man utkik till savannens vattenhål alldeles intill dit djuren kommer för att dricka och äta, Underbart! Ett ställe vi varmt rekommenderar och vi kommer gärna på besök igen. Stort tack till ägarinnan och personal som verkligen gjorde allt för att vår vistelse skulle bli minnesvärd!

Hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu bemängeln. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war toll. Das Abendessen war ausgezeichnet, das Frühstück ebenfalls.
Das Personal war sehr bemüht und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Ich wünschte wir wären länger geblieben, es gab wirklich nichts negatives.

Khaya Ndlovu ist eine tolle Lodge mit typisch afrikanischer Einrichtung und entsprechendes Ambiente. Wir nutzten die Lodge zur Erholung und Durchführung von einigen Game Drives, die sehr schön waren mit Tierbeobachtung von Löwen, Nyla, Impalas, Giraffen u.v.m.... Sehr nett die morgendliche/abendliche Beobachtung am Wasserloch vor der Lodge, wo sich unzählige Tiere tummeln und gut zu beobachten sind.

Un lodge juste PARFAIT

Un lodge où on se sent comme à la maison ! Très belle maison d’hôte décorée avec beaucoup de goût, qui fait de cet endroit un lieu cosy, chaleureux où on se sent très bien ! Un personnel tellement sympathique, une très bonne cuisine et une vue extraordinaire !
Nous avons tellement adoré cet endroit que nous y sommes revenus 3 jrs plus tard !!!
On recommande sans hésiter les safaris dans la petite réserve privée, le ranger Hendrick et le traceur Sim sont géniaux et grâce à eux nous avons pu passer plus d’1h à observer 5 lions à moins de 20 mètres de nous !! Merci !

Prachtige Lodge met ontzettend fijne mensen!!! Vanaf dag 1 tot onze laatste moment werden wij met ontzettend veel zorg en respect behandeld. Eigenaars, bediening, kok, gidsen, ..... alles tot in de puntjes. Unieke ervaring!!!!!

A equipe é impecável: George e Shane, e todos os demais oferecem uma experiência incrível. Todos sabem o seu nome, e estão ali para lhe oferecer uma experiência única. O serviço de quarto, a cozinha e a atenção para escolher seus passeios é perfeita. Definitivamente é o melhor custo / benefício de Hoedsrpuit, um nível de serviço 5 estrelas.
