Staff kind and courteous. Free parking on site. Single occupancy room (309) for 2 nights, no balcony (although most other rooms did have balcony). Good Ger/Eng menu.Top floor room became a bit stuffy, with opening window as only temp cooling control. I chose this hotel over the more pricey ones in Fussen for my booked visit to Schloss Neuschwanstein, with about 14 mile (35 mins) drive to the Car Park area.

Disappointed New Year’s Eve Dinner

This hotel has great location. But service is not good.
We made dinner reservation in advance through Hotel.com for the New Year’s Eve, but hotel staff didn’t mention it at all. Instead we were told we only can have dinner on the bar counter. We were largely forgotten during the meal service.

This is a hidden gem. Spacious rooms, great views, nice sized balcony, church bells ringing, wonderful breakfast and even a better dinner. Did not use the amenities but looked nice. Staff was extremely friendly and spoke English. Look forward to staying here again in the future. Highly recommend. And only 10 minutes away from the Neuschwanstein Castle.

1.There were no instructions on how to operate the radiators, which took some time to figure out how to heat the room. After a few hours the room did warm up.
2.The on-site restaurant was not open in the evening, it was only open for the buffet breakfast.

This hotel was in the cutest little town and had a BEAUTIFUL view out the balcony. Loved the mountains. Ate at the restaurant which was pretty good. There was a castle and suspension bridge close by we didn't know about that we explored. For me the bed was stiff so I had a hard time sleeping at this hotel, but everything else was amazing!

I rarely write reviews, but this one is easy, as this was one of the most pleasant hotels I stayed in, in a long time. And I travel a lot for work, so I have a decent sample size.

The hotel was clean, well kept; the staff was professional and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good, breakfast buffet was good. Wellness area was spacious and eveything worked! Rooms are big and fresh, sizeable bathrooms. Nice and traditional decor.
Generally just a very good hotel. I have a feeling I will be going back there.

The property is lovely and the rooms were spacious with an incredible view. The breakfast that comes with the reservation was a lovely variety of traditional fare. The only issue everyone had - not just us - was that flies were indoors and very distracting. So many of them that the night before at the bar we had to cover the tops of our glasses and at breakfast we were swatting them away from our food and ears. Not sure what the issue was but that is the ONLY improvement I would suggest.

Great hotel...great location....friendly and helpful staff for the most part. There was one guy who clearly had an issue with Americans....gave him a 20% Euro tip (which is way more then Europeans leave) and he was still a %^$*&.

Great area to bike, hike and relax at the Thermal Pool within walking distance of the hotel and sits in the valley of the Austrian Alps. Soooo beautiful.

Staying at Moerhof...

First of all, we stayed at Moserhof two night and we use a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Mountain View.
Moserhof is easy to find from Google map. we had a no trouble to find the house.
The house has a good location and very nice view. Before we went there, we visited the famous bridge \"Highline 179\". Surprise! At night from our room and the balcony of our room, we can also re-enjoy the night view of \"Highline 179\" with wines. It is really nice.
The people at the reception desk were very helpful with information around the area. The wifi is connected and we can use it. (but not so fast.)
The room is very clean and spacious (remember that we stayed a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Mountain View.) It has everything except the refrigerator and airconditioner. We weather is so nice we don't need an airconditioner but it will be better to have a refrigeratior. Then we can enjou the cool beers.
The breakfast is very nice. The last day in this house, we have to leave very early before the openning time of the restaurant. They make a breakfast for us and served it in front of our room!
We had a nice time there.

Our stay at the Moserhof was wonderful. The room was very large with a view of the Alps and the Ruins of Ehrenberg Castle from our balcony. Large bathroom, free WIFI and parking. We did half board (breakfast and dinner included). The food was very good. They also have a whirlpool and sauna that looked amazing but we did not have time to use. I would stay here again. Very nice hotel.

Great Views, Great Stay!

We stayed at Hotel Moserhof for two nights in July 2017. We chose it for its proximity to Neuschwanstein and other castles in the area. We were so pleased with our choice! It is in Breitenwang, which is just outside Reutte. Quiet--except for the church bells which ring at various points during the day. Beautiful. Lovely mountain scenery from our rooms. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant--great breakfast buffet with all of the usual Austrian breakfast goodies (great breads, cheese, meats, juices, eggs, jams, yogurt, cereal, etc.). We ate dinner there one night too and that was delicious. The hotel is also within easy walking distance (10 minutes or less) of other restaurants and the central shopping area of Breitenwang. Our Superior Double Room was quite large with a comfortable bed, couch and eating nook, plus a very modern, large bathroom. It took us slightly under 30 minutes to drive to the Neuschwanstein area (it's not far, but narrow twisty mountain roads). We also visited Burgenwelt Ehrenberg during our stay--we could see the ruins from our room, including at night when they were lit up. Very cool. We would recommend that activity. The ruins are really interesting (although the hike up to them is steep!) and the Highline 179--highest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world--was definitely a highlight of our trip. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay in this hotel again if we visit the area again in the future.

Outstanding hotel near Reutte, Austria.

We drove from Salzburg to Switzerland via Reutte as a scenic route off the main motorways. The Hotel Moserhof at Breitenwang, near Reutte, was an unexpected highlight of our tour, from the minute we walked into this hotel it was everything we expected and more. It was clean, comfortable, with outstanding decor and character, and good dining at a reasonable price.

We had a conference in Switzerland, but flew in the weekend prior, so we could drive up to see the castle. This family operated hotel proved to be just what we needed for the weekend. People at the reception desk were extremely helpful with information about traveling around the area.
The room was very clean, had good quality bedding, and an excellent shower. The internet was slightly slower than what I am used to, but I was able to gain access without difficulty.
There is an excellent restaurant in the building, and the reception person mentioned that if we wanted to dine in, it's safest to make reservations. When we did finally return to the hotel, and enter the restaurant, the only table not filled was the one with our reserved sign on it.!

The staff was remarkable, helpful beyond any expectations. The hotel is nicely appointed in the area's style and the rooms clean and well sized. The restaurant is beautiful, especially the bar area, and the food above average. Walked through the spa area but unfortunately did not stay long enough to enjoy the facilities.

This was just an overnight stop but was v enjoyable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent as was breakfast buffet. We had what was called a deluxe room - it was comfortable and spacious but quite spartan so would not call it deluxe. No shower gel or shampoo only a couple of sachets, bring your own supplies! Service was quite friendly and you know that this is a family run hotel.

The hotel is ok, with good views if you look past the lorry park. Rooms would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities, particularly during the winter months. Toiletries are sadly lacking in the bathrooms, making this more a 3 star overall rating in our opinion. The rooms are comfortable but basic and overall a little pricey. Location wise it is 30 minutes drive to Fussen/Schwangau.

Das Zimmer war richtig gemütlich urig eingerichtet, die Aussicht auf die Berge, die Burg und die Highline war traumhaft schön. Der Service und das Personal war erstklassig genauso wie das Essen. Wir haben einmal Abendessen gehabt, das geschmacklich top war. Wir hatten gebucht inkl. Frühstück und das hat alles geboten was man sich von einem umfangreichen Frühstück wünscht, es war alles frisch und jeden tag auch viel und ausreichend vorhanden. Das Spa hatte ebenfalls alles was man sich wünscht, eine schöne Sauna, Whirlpool so wie einen gemütlichen Ruhe bereich, ideal zum aufwärmen und entspannen nach einen langen Tag auf der Piste. Die Lage vom Hotel ist ebenfalls top, man hat genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung und auch genügend Pisten im nahen Umfeld das ausreichend Auswahl bietet.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hotel Moserhof to us was a very pleasant stay. Parking space, nice and clean rooms, a very extensive breakfast, kind personnel.

For us the looks were great. Some people may find it outdated but we liked the old atmosphere in classic style and combined with neat and clean rooms it was a genuine nice experience to spend the night here.
