Overall the building is a tad outdated. The pool that is listed as a heated pool is in fact a freezing cold pool. Staff was wonderful! Beds were comfortable, jetted tub was nice after you personally clean it.

Rooms were a little on the small side, the plugs by the beds didn’t work. This hotel allows pets, this was the first time I have stayed at a hotel with pets allowed. The rooms around us contained pets that barked in the early morning hours. Wasn’t thrilled about this. Would be more ideal to keep those of us without pets away so we can enjoy our stay.

All was clean and staff friendly, morning breakfast is only from 6:30 to 9am at least on Saturday. Seems like it should run for another hour. We had a whirlpool room, all was good, but it's a rather small tub, tight for two adults at one time. Oddest shape of any tub I've seen in the past, no real comfortable position for one person, much less two. Also the faucets don't work properly, no stop for off. You can rotate it continuously and never really find a stop where it won't drip. But the bed was clean, comfortable, and slept well.

The grass was overgrown, the trees untrimmed, and the beds unmanaged. May not bother the average person, but having been a landscaper for many years it bothered me.

Wonderful night away

My husband and I went for a relaxing night away. We booked a king suite with hetted tub. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The only downfall was the jetted tub was kind of small for my husband and I due to him being 6'1\". The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options. The service was outstanding.

Needs some updating. Hester made clicking sound, shower curtain disgusting, shower plunger would not stay fully engaged so tub filling with water from faucet during shower, toilet needs replacing and toilet seat crooked. Rooms not at all soundproof as folks were yelling in hall for some time.

Ny more negative review was due to room placement. I used Hotels.com to book my stay and included comments that I wanted to be away from the elevator. My room was right next to the elevator. I do not know if that message did not get communicated to the hotel from Hotel.com or if the staff at the hotel did not accommodate me. In either case, I did not appreciate my stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue we had is the elevator broke down and we had to drag luggage from the third floor upon leaving.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

This hotel is Scamming people out of their money!!! I travel frequently always booked through Hotels.com NEVER had a problem checking in late. You call ahead of time let them know you will be getting their after midnight and they notate it. I booked 2 rooms paid in advance and called 3 days before no one answered called back the day before check in. Someone answered I told him it was going to be a late checking I was coming in from Detroit. He said it was fine he would let the Front Desk reps know. I get there and they told me they did an audit and they can no longer retreive my room from the system because it is marked as \"dirty\". The girl at the front desk says she is new and doesn't know how to reverse the \"audit\" so she calls some guy, Kirk Juwell, who I saw on another review someone referenced him and it is still undetermined what his role actually is in the company other than being a complete jerk but he is super rude and unhelpful. They wanted me to book the rooms again which I was not going to give them another dime headed to the next city over and stayed in Imlay. What kind of management leaves a new employee alone without any supervision or someone above her that can actually maneuver the system. Never heard of a company doing that, a Manager or Supervisor should always be on the clock.

It was a great hotel and we will stay there again. Unfortunately, our room had some major maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The tub/shower faucet was cut in half and falling off. Then we went to use the whirlpool tub and we could not get the water to shut off nor stay in the tub. It was disappointing but it was just the room. The hotel itself is very clean and nice inside. The breakfast was fine as well.
