We had a great stay but our freezer was broke and noisy, the hotel room floor was swept but hadn’t been mopped in a long long time our feet were immediately black and disgusting so we bought cheap slipper socks, and the kids pool was in need of some repairs and updating and warmer water! The other pool was adults only so I don’t know about that one but if you are going to limit where I can go with my kids atleast make the water WARM.

I never leave bad reviews. However this had to be the absolute worst experience all around at a hotel I have ever had. I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again. The oceanfront view was beautiful. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our stay.

I booked this trip to attend the Dave Matthews concert. Upon check-in, told the room would be guaranteed ready by 4:00 PM, which allowed enough time to get settled before the concert. Instead….waited over an hour past that time while receiving multiple assurances that the room would be ready “soon.” No one proactively communicated the delay, and the timelines given were repeatedly missed. Almost 2 hours after the guarantee check in the keys were available.

As professional who works in customer service, I understand that delays happen. What was disappointing was the lack of communication, accountability, and urgency throughout the process. Several staff members provided conflicting information, and one employee even blamed another employee’s inexperience rather than focusing on resolving the issue.

Once finally received the room, we discovered a clogged sink, a non-working light fixture, and damaged furniture. While the view was beautiful, the overall experience did not meet the expectations associated with the price paid or the Hilton brand.

If you are traveling during a busy season and have time-sensitive plans, I would strongly recommend preparing for potential check-in delays and managing.

Denied option to PAY for late check-out even though I asked 2 days in advance.
If you check-in on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday be prepared to wait for a LONG TIME.
Unloading at the curb is not an option.
You will be hauling your luggage through the parking garage and waiting even longer to use the parking garage elevator.
I understand that this is the beach but the parking garage elevator hasn't been cleaned in months and has a horrible stench.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Hilton Vacation Club Ocean Beach Club! This trip was very meaningful to us because we were celebrating both my daughter’s 4th birthday and my graduation weekend, and the experience exceeded our expectations.

The resort was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location right by the beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We loved being able to relax, enjoy being at a walking distance from the beach, and make special memories together as a family.

Everything about our stay helped make our celebration weekend feel extra special. My daughter had a wonderful birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important milestone in my life.

I really enjoyed my time here and can’t wait to come back again in the future. Thank you for helping make our special weekend one to remember!

First off, I'd like to say that the staff was great, helpful, professional, friendly. No complaints there. I lay the blame more on the Hilton brand, which used to stand for something above average, even luxurious. There are multiple Hilton hotels in this area now, some next to each other. Anyway, my issues: the towels were thin, the toilet paper and tissues were cheap, there were four square-ish pillows on the bed with their pillow slips folded inside because they weren't even standard sized pillows. The toilet seat had two chips in it. The bath had chips and scratches/stains on it. There was nothing in the mini-fridge, not even a bottle of water for the room. The air conditioner was noisy and inefficient. The bathroom had a fake dresser in it, with drawers that didn't open, so no bathroom storage except for the bottom shelf where towels and paper products were stored. I also found the bed hard, but that is a personal preference. Finally, they clean rooms only if you request it; I undestand that is \"environmental\" and you can ask. It was just a bit jarring to be there for four days and tidy up myself and make the bed. PROS: Nice patio and pool, with lots of tables and chaises, good bar and kitchen service, live music (though both live and recorded music was too loud to have a conversation over), great location next to the beach and boardwalk, so great views and sea air. Fire pit at night. And once again, just wonderful staff. Price is relatively reasonable.

Room had literally just been painted and the fumes were horrific. Safe was inoperable. Same friendly staff changed my room.

There was no room services for three nights/4 days. No sweetner for coffee. We wanted to extend our stay due to a flight change. The front desk staff on 6/1/2025 was night and day different from a hospitality industry standpoint. Not helpful at all. Not interested in assisting in any way. Her primary focus was getting me away from the front desk soa he could get back to her personal phone.

There is a reason I try to stay brand loyal to Marriott.

Good Things:
- The location was perfect. The hotel is right on the beach and near lots of restaurants and stores
- The staff was very friendly
- The indoor and outdoor pools were nice
Bad Things:
- Not one time in all 8 days of my stay did they ever service or clean the room.
- The area near the elevators was dirty and wasn't cleaned for days after someone bled on the floor.
- The toilet took about 5 flushes before it would work. Someone did come to \"fix\" it, but it only reduced the number of flushes to 2-3 before it worked.
- Though it was supposedly a non-smoking hotel, someone smoked profusely in the room next to my son's and therefore his room reeked of smoke for several days of the stay.
- The hotel was very loud. Their was very little, if any, sound insulation, and when the doors closed in the rooms, they slammed, and you could hear it from half-say down the hall.
- There was construction going on right across the street, and they were literally pile-driving foundation poles 8 hours a day for many of the days of our stay.
- There was a big push both in person and on the wi-fi to buy a time-share.

When we got into our room there was hair in the tub and walls of the shower, the side of the tub was cracked and the drain plug was broken out and sitting on the side. Was very hard to bathe our child with no plug. Paid for a full kitchen and did not have a full kitchen only a microwave and small refrigerator. The photos of the room showed full kitchen and ocean view and our view was of the city unless you stood over the balcony and looked sideways. The floors in the room were so dirty we all had to wear socks to walk around the whole time and the bed was rock hard. The pools were a plus luckily we were able to spend more time there because the weather was nice.

The brightness on the bedroom TV was so dim it was hard to watch On the bright side the bed was comfortable.

We booked this Hilton through Chase Travel with a decent discount. The room was on the 18th floor and had a gorgeous ocean view, which was nice. The room was clean, tight, and small. The bathroom was outdated, and the glass door in the shower didn’t have a proper seal, and after showering, it had a huge paddle/flooding stepping out. I reported it, but nothing was done, and I used so many towels to absorb all the water. The kitchen garbage had no plastic; they gave us a dishwashing pod when there was no dishwasher. And the refrigerator had a broken rack where you put your drinks. And the WiFi did not work at all. So if you’re trying to work remotely, it would be impossible. So that’s 2 stars in my opinion. I mean for a Hilton? But we enjoyed Virginia Beach and decided to stay longer and booked a different room. This room was on the 9th floor, city view. Which was a lot nicer, updated, and cleaner. Same size it seemed like but there was a tub, so no water leak there, there was plastic in the garbage and had dishwashing soap and sponge and the refrigerator was intact! The difference was astounding. However, WiFi although available on the 9th floor, did not work well for audio calls! And the second room is $40-50 cheaper per night, go figure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our oceanfront room with kitchen. We had a view of the ocean from the front and from the side. The living area was spacious and well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. The appliances were Samsung and they were accessible with my Samsung smartphone. I never expected that. The technician that took care of our technical needs was very personable and responded promptly. It was cold and windy outside, but we enjoyed staying in our room, all warm and toasty. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We got into Virginia Beach about 1:30 after a 10 hours drive and just wanted to shower and sleep. The room that we where given was under construction the bathroom was a mess. We had to go back to check in. They had no more rooms 😕 in the process of him calling a manager i was looking for other accommodation for my family now its about 2:30am ( with a sleey 3 yr old) at this point the manager calls back and gives us another room . Wasted 2 hours but everything else was perfect.

The location is great, the room had some probs, no coffee in room even thou there was a coffee maker. No Dish soap for the cups and glasses provided. The body wash in shower was empty. The bathroom vanity has sharp edges around the sides and I got a small cut on my hand from the edge. Maybe they no longer provide a note paper and maybe a pen. You pay for hotel services upon check-in, not sure what services I am paying for, all hotels have services, its a service business, you pay for the room then upon arrival they charge for service, like $80 or so bucks..I feel its BS and if they need more money for the room then charge upon reservation so the customer knows and can make a proper decision weather they want the room or not, no surprise charges.. The workers there were great. I feel my room was old and not worth the money. BTY I usually do not complain but, I was a little disappointed

The hotel itself was nice, but the check‑in experience was unacceptable. I was given my room more than two hours after the official check‑in time, despite repeatedly asking for updates.

I arrived around 12:00 PM, and by 3:00 PM I normally receive my room at any hotel. Instead, I was told over and over that my room “wasn’t ready,” even as I watched other guests receive their keys without delay.

At 4:00 PM, the front desk agent reminded me that “check‑in is at 4:00,” to which I had to point out that it was already 4:00. Her response was simply that they would “call me,” which never happened. At 5:00 PM, I received the same vague answer again.

By 5:30 PM, I had to contact Expedia so they could intervene. Only after a 30‑minute call between Expedia and the hotel was I finally told to go to the lobby to get my key. Even then, the front desk agent was unnecessarily rude.

This is not the level of service I expect from a hotel of this category. Waiting over two hours past the official check‑in time—and being treated dismissively throughout—was extremely disappointing.

Since the ocean was too cold to swim in, it was great to have two outdoor and one indoor pool to play in. The view from the 11th floor was also incredible (if you can wake up early, you can see a beautiful sunrise). All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of things to do to keep a 5-year-old occupied throughout our time, including the daily activities.

Reasonable price. Wanted an ocean view. Had to wrap my neck around the balcony to find the ocean. No cups in the bathroom, no housekeeping unless you request and then one day didn’t come at all. No blanket on the bed. Bathtub was very deep. Could hardly get in there. Very slippery, needed a rubber bath mat. No restaurant in the hotel. Had to go elsewhere.

Rooms were clean, great location. Parking is in parking garage close by and included in the cost. The most frustrating thing was they don't make people promptly return their luggage carts. The system is that you check in, unload vehicle at the entry, put it onto a cart, take things to your room, then return your cart, move your vehicle and finally go park in the garage. So frustrating to wait and wait while they look for carts and text guests. There's got to be a more efficient way. Have people sign them out, fine them if the cart is not returned promptly etc. Hilton has figured out how to make millions and millions of dollars her can't figure out how to keep track of their carts???

The negative comments about this hotel were initially a little scary. But everything was to our liking. We had a clean, comfortable room. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and checked with us throughout the day via text message. The pools were clean and the hotel was remarkably quiet for its size. The parking garage was extremely easy across the street. The only thing that would deter us in the future is the cost of the room which included extra fees for things we didn’t use and the normal refundable deposit was an additional $200. We paid a lot to stay for three nights, but it was a positive experience. Great views from the balcony and warm temperatures in early April were a bonus!

We had a fantastic stay here. I booked the cheapest room last minute and was still so happy with our stay. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars on a beach view because the street was loud until around 11pm, but the kids had so much fun at the pool and beach that the conked out so quickly at night and the street noise didn't bother them. The pools were enjoyed and it was especially nice to have pool towels accessable since our beach towels were sandy. The easy access to the beach made it easy for us to spend all day there. If we needed something from the room it was a quick run up. Everything we wanted to do, i.e. shopping and eating were all within walking distance and fantastic. Parked our car and didn't go back to it until we left. The lady at check in was so nice and friendly. My one downside it the driveway was chaos while checking out. Not enough space for everyone to park to get their stuff in their cars and have safe access to get out. Overall, it was clean and comfortable and easy to stay here and I would do it again.

First, we want to compliment your staff—they were great, helpful, and very responsive throughout our visit. We truly appreciated their attentiveness.

However, the room we stayed in was quite noisy. It was located right next to the street, with traffic, trash pickup right beneath the room, and last night there were a few trucks working (possibly county work) without any prior notice. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for us to sleep well.

Overall, aside from the noise issue, everything else about our stay was great. We hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements.

The furniture is a bit outdated in the first tower (OBC) and needs updating to match the decor of the Oceanaire tower. The first room I was in (Queen studio kitchenette, oceanfront) was on a lower floor where the hallway looked like a prison with brown walls. I found nasty, shaved hairs on the bedsheet like it wasn’t washed or changed between guests. I immediately call the front desk who immediately rectified the situation. I ended up upgrading to a suite and it was fantastic. The ocean views were amazing, the rooms and halls a little more updated. There were some minor maintenance issues that should be addressed but I will reach out to the property directly.
