Check in/out were easy! Getting in contact with the staff was easy! I had an issue with my room, and they let me change no problem. The room was old, but clean. I was alone, but the area seems creepy. The privacy was limited. My door opened tge opposite way, but it locked! The room served it's use. I would stay again, VERY spacious. Friendly staff!

Place does NOT look the way the pictures do! Can NOT use the stove that’s shown in the pictures they have posted. Also the people that live on sight should be more respectful to the people that are in the rooms they are outside there door late at night talking loud. The rooms smell like they haven’t been deeply clean. You can smell the dust. Mosquitoes in the room and bathroom bad! My husband was killing them

First thing we opened the door. It smelled like cat piss. The carpet was so old and nasty, if you stay make sure to wear water shoes or rubber shoes to walk on the floor. It was that bad. The bathroom sink was blocked up. On for 5 seconds and the bowl is full. The kitchen had a stove that said it was for looks and not to use. The frig was mini and had tape inside the door to hold it together. The microwave that was on the kitchen table didn't open fully cause the table was all warped.i tried to make coffee in the coffeepot but it didn't let water through and all you smelled was burning.So I thought I'll try to make the coffee in the microwave. It took 3 min. Too get the coffee luke warm. The windows were all rotted and screens with big holes in them. So foeget about opening them to air the place out of the smell of cat piss . Cause you don't want to let the mice in while you sleep. The bed was also gross.I went to check for bed bugs.but had a cover over matress . Probably cause they have or had them. Also I saw a cat poop under the bed a couple inches. With crumbs and nasty stuff in the bed trail. You will be better off camping in the campground across the street. Wished I had a tent with. I would have forfeited the 95.00 with tax room.I felt so dirty after I left there. I had to wear water shoes in the shower cause I didn't want to catch anything there.

The room needs help. I know the owner is trying to renovate but our room didn't get anything done yet I guess. The door needs weather stripping, light and cold came threw it. The tiny refrigerator the door wouldn't close tight. I know they are trying. It was as clean as could be but extremely worn down. 😔😔

This is a great motel 6 type motel. I paid about 90 per night- It cost more for the kitchen. The kitchen has a sink, microwave, and mini fridge- the stove didn’t work. The bathroom was standard with toilet, shower and sink. The bedroom section The cleaning lady was very nice- she had two pets: a mini dog and a cat. When I was packing my stuff to leave, the cat entered my room and would not leave. It got on top of my bed- I’m okay with pets, but my husband is allergic to cats.

The hotel is trying to keep a certain era look- that’s a great idea… but things like the carpet need to go…my safety chain was broken. The motel is called lake view- but I didn’t have a window view of the lake. There were some outside chairs, but they faced the motel. It would have been nice that there would be a patio/outdoor space to sit and see the lake.

I like this property and the history of it, they’re a family business and it definitely has “home / cozy vibes”. I stayed here the first time in 2021 and really enjoyed the stay which is why I chose to stay again in 2025, it was a good stay but the room was a bit dirty this time around unfortunately. Shower curtains smelled really bad of urine hopefully they replace that soon, there were a bunch of dead bugs on the sink and cabinet. There was a giant cockroach when we first arrived in the room we only ever saw the one though, so I’m assuming it snuck in and got stuck in there? Either way definitely freaked us out at first. Had a couple issues with the tv, had to wait 30mins for it to update and then it kept freezing because the wifi was slow. Checking in & out was easy and parking was great. This is a very convenient and low cost place to stay, I do hope they clean a bit better, I would still comeback and stay again.

Arrived & spoke to Sarah via the office door camera. My door was opened & bingo am here.
Can't understand negative reviews: its an oasis on the road, clean comfy bed, shower spot on....oh & extra coffee.

Late check out, not a prob. Its a great little place with outdooe seating & tables.

I had to cancel my reservations because there was no power to the room due to high winds.
This was beyond the control of the property owner.
She issued a complete refund.
We tried finding another location but everything was booked up.
We had to turn around and drive 3 hours home.

It was relatively clean. Easy to check in. Good communication when I having difficulty with checkin instructions. Guests smoking right outside their rooms meant smoke also came into our room if we kept the door open while bringing in our luggage. Should have a dedicated smoking area away from guest rooms.

Super clean and comfortable. My non-smoking room was not only free of any smoke odors, but it also had no coverup disinfectant smells--which I hate. The room was dated in many ways, but proudly so: I nice flashback to days gone by, and very well maintained. The flat-screen TV, microwave and refrigerator with a separate freezer door were all great modern additions. I checked in and out without ever seeing the staff, but I had a pleasant phone call with the manager who let me in remotely. Nice location and very quiet.

We stayed in Room 4. There was zero water pressure and no hot water. My wife and I took freezing cold showers. there's a wall heater in the Central room, but that does not go into the kitchen area are the bathroom? So both of those rooms are freezing cold, it's was a memorable adventure. It is not bad to stop and spend the night and leave. The outside is amazing and the views are incredible, but inside the room wear shoes because the tac strips under the carpet, we'll cut your feet. Our coffee pot was nasty dirty and unusable. My wife and I stay at roadside hotels frequently and this one needs a little help. The owner does it all by herself so i am sure she does the best she can.

Stayed a night at the lakeview motel a few days ago, while it is not a bad place to stay when passing through, i can’t recommend for longer than a night or two. the beginning of our experience was great, a room to ourselves/cozy overall, we were rudely awoken by our neighbors with walls so thin you’d think they were in the same room. around 1am, we could hear their entire conversation as they'd slam the microwave door reheating food we could smell in our room through the crack of the door. if you’re lucky enough to have quiet neighbors, not a bad place, if you’re even more lucky, you’d stay somewhere with thicker walls. the lake isabella area is charming and wouldn’t mind giving it another chance in the future.

Comfortable with little sleep

It’s definitely an older motel, but it’s still a comfortable stay and a nice size room. It was pretty tidy, and if you don’t mind older amenities, then this is an affordable good stay. The door locks are also updated, making me feel better traveling as a solo lady.

The only issue I had was with how thin the walls are. I could hear the frequent opening and closing of my neighbors’ door, as if it was my own door. And in the morning, I could clearly hear the people next to me discussing breakfast, as if they were in the room. It was a rough night with little sleep.

I will likely stay here again, but I’m definitely bringing ear plugs

Old school property that needs some help but was clean and you can see they try and keep it up. Room had nice thick privacy curtains but they are not black out so the sun shines in definitely need black out curtains. Was extra quiet this trip and close by to some eating establishments and convenient stores. Will be back when im back up visiting family.

Property didn’t look like the pictures. Carpet had many stains. Property needs extensive upgrades. Air conditioner was up so high you needed a chair to program and wouldn’t turn off. Refrigerator sounded like someone heavy breathing all night. No security locks on the door!! Creepy hotel……I wouldn’t stay here again.

Little motel in what can be called \"middle of nowhere\" with great service and comfortable stay close to Lake Isabella. Our room had an Everything-in-One historical Sink-Stove-Freezer-Fridge from the 1950's that added more character to the kitchenette. Perfect spot to stop, rest, and resume your road trip.
