Hotel Description


The hotel opened its door in 1899 by David and Jennie Curry, a tented camp so that visitors could enjoy the beauty of Yosemite for a modest price. They advertised "a good bed and clean napkin with every meal" for a small price.

Today, the establishment otherwise known around Yosemite as Camp Curry still offers park visitors' comfortable, inexpensive lodging right in the shadow of spectacular Glacier Point and Half Dome. Scattered throughout the village, guests will find comfortable Yosemite cabins with private baths, plus standard motel rooms, and canvas tent cabins for all visitors taste.

Please note starting May 20, 2022 – September 30, 2022, reservations will be required to enter the park between 6AM – 4PM in you personal vehicle

This comfortable, well-equipped lodge is located in El Portal overlooking the Merced River. It is just 4 km from the western entrance to the famous Yosemite National Park.

Renovated in 2004, the hotel consists of several buildings with a total of 278 rooms. The main building houses the reception area with a safe, cloakroom, newspaper stand and lift access.

Further facilities include a cosy bar and an inviting restaurant. The tastefully fitted rooms all come with an en-suite bathroom, a well-equipped kitchenette and a balcony or terrace.

The air conditioning and heating are individually regulated. Depending on the season, guests can make use of the two outdoor swimming pools.
