Great location for Yosemite Valley, however that is where the perks of this hotel finish.

The staff are not helpful, we had a smell of Gas in the room and maintenance did very little, there was no remorse from the staff, they eventually moved us as we refused to stay in the room we were in.

The rooms dated, need updating. The restaurants close at 8pm and have a limited menu.

Keep in mind you're staying here because you don't want to tent camp in Yosemite. The perk of this lodge is the views to the mountain stream out your back door. I'm sure, when it was built, this lodge was gorgeous. It is now very dated and run down. There were a couple pools out of order. The indoor pool was extremely warm. The hot tubs weren't functioning. The restaurants on site are not run by the hotel. Do yourself a favor and don't eat and the restaurant, buy food at their store and make it in your room. There was a lightly stocked kitchen in our room, no microwave, but a two burner stove. The fireplace worked and was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and room was large. Our two person jetted tub and double shower head was functional but the drain didn't work. You have to ask for housekeeping to come by. Again, this is the best option to stay extremely close to the park entrance without sleeping in a tent or cabin. There are no elevators so keep that in mind when booking a room. If you have lots of stuff to carry after hiking all day, request a first floor room. We had adequate wifi. The room served it's purpose but is overpriced for the age of the facility. Regardless, the best option we found.

Convenient location , good amenities. Our room was on a smaller size , but had everything we needed - kitchen , utensils . There is laundry room which could be very handy if you are on the road for few days .

Location Location Location! I have stayed at this property multiple times. It is nice to see they have been gradually updating the rooms as it is an older facility. The sit down restaurant on site leaves much to be desired, overpriced and food is below mediocre, but the pizza place is very good. Gift shop has so many cute items. You just can't beat being right on the merced river, and so close to the entance of Yosemite.

Checked in, clerk was OK but not great. The mattresses in the room were extremely uncomfortable and outdated. The television service was terrible, remote control had a Netflix button and an AirPlay button, but neither worked so why bother? There’s no smoking in the lodge however, the people checked in next to us smoked cigarettes and marijuana on the deck all day which wafted back into our room.

Loved our room. We had a spa in the room and deck overlooking the river. The kitchen was nicely furnished. We would definitely rate this 5 star except the bottom sheet on our king bed did not quite cover it and that was a pain. Otherwise, it was hard to leave into Yosemite with such a wonderful place on the river.

We stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge for three nights.

The room was a good size but a little dated, the bathroom seems to have gone through a partial refurbishment.

The shower ran cold in the mornings, occasionally running warm before going back to cold, it was better in the evenings!

We were staying in room 1137 in Maple Block, this was located next to the indoor pool, I think backing onto the pool room. Throughout the nights we could hear the machinery from the pool room so it was quite noisy, also the view from the balcony was not great.

There was building works going on so two of the outdoor pools were closed.

As others have said there isn't much choice for eating! We ate in the bar a couple of times, the staff were friendly and it had more of an atmosphere than the restaurant (when we walked through it to the salad bar, it was so quiet)! The food was OK, but not the best.

We were only staying for three nights and were out during the days, so we didn't raise the issues experienced, however, they aren't isolated as others have reported issues too.

Due to the limited hotel options in the area I don't think the owners want to try and improve the hotel, they will always have visitors coming in.

However, if there were more options I'd probably consider these first.

Our Room was clean with a beautiful view, but bathroom sink was clogged. Their restaurant however was not satisfactory as well as outdated and wait times took very long, We were with a semi large party, but both our table amongst others had no food upon observation. Many guests appeared to be impatient. Its such a bummer that they removed the breakfast buffet, their breakfast prices are not worth what you get. We ended up making our own breakfast in our room. There are renovations currently being done so hopefully these things will be improved as well because the lodge really is a great stay.

The room was spacious and well-maintained. However, there were no chairs available in the room.
Dining was the biggest drawback. There are hardly any dining options nearby; you’re basically limited to one pizza place and one Italian restaurant. Both were packed with tourists, and both closed early at 8:00 PM.
Overall, the room is all right and the location is perfect for park access, but plan your dinners ahead.

Very nice location. The property is a big dated but theres a charm in it. We stayed at one of the riverside rooms. That just made the stay so much more beautiful. The white noise from the river helped me sleep like a baby.

One of best locations I have ever experienced. While in the hotel, you see mountains on both sides very closely while a high volume stream pass through the river. Fantastic stay. Our room had a kitchenette and well equipped. Property is very old but well maintained.

It was our first time in Yosemite and the location was perfect for a 4 day trip. One pool was closed and bummed that I never saw the fire pit turned on. Lots of construction but there are some areas along the river to sit at and enjoy even if you don't have a river front room.

We stayed in a room with a river view. Loved the views. The room and bathroom were very clean and a good size. The little kitchenette was very compact and sufficient for our needs. We do need to get our own spices, oil etc.. needed for cooking. The hotel location is also great being so close to the park entrance. All in all a very good choice for a visit to Yosemite.

Location wise a bit remote but if you’re looking for a peaceful place this is the right place to stay. Riverside rooms are best for a scenic view. Game room was a plus for kids to enjoy.
Room was neat & clean. Only issue was the shower heads that wasn’t working properly, hope the management will fix that.

I’ve stayed at Yosemite View many times before, but this time was concerning.
-Towels were stained
-Housekeeping did not come by to collect towels or clean
-Plates weren’t washed
-Bathroom doorhandle was broken
-Front door was difficult to close securely
-Window blinds were missing the adjusting stick
-Closet right door would not open

And to top it all off, a gas detector went off at 4am very loudly, ruining our first night’s sleep. When I confronted the hotel staff about it, they downplayed the event and said the gas detector was probably broken and that they would turn off the fireplace gas to the room just in case. My wife was pregnant in the room, so this was incredibly concerning, not just for the lack of sleep but certainly for the possibility of there being a gas leak.

Francisco, the maintenance gentlemen was very kind and came by to inspect the gas detector and replaced it. But this didn’t feel adequate given the living situation and the experience. Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed in this stay.

You can barely find something that works in the room: AC doesn't work, Oven doesn't heat up, Fireplace in the room was like a joke (barely stay ON), water running very slow in bathroom faucet, No coffee for 75% of my time there. Can you believe (No extra toilet paper!!!)?

Several of the pools and hot tubs were closed. There is construction going on, building two new buildings on site.
The location is excellent, the staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious.

Overall, the location to the entrance of the park was good and the staff were supportive, as well as the view of the roaring river. My only issue was that I wished the sliding glass doors had screens so that you can leave the doors open for ventilation. The room had a bad smell as a result. People don't open the doors so as not to let the bugs in. This would be a big plus. Other than that, everything was fine and I probably will consider returning.

WiFi SUCKED. We kept getting kicked off & it took forever to load anything to watch. We could not stream anything to watch. The kitchen was missing some utensils. We didn’t eat in the rooms but bought pints of ice cream to eat. The bathroom smelled like urine, I wiped down the bathroom with my Clorox wipes. The room smelled like food. It needed to be aired out & luckily they have a great souvenir & mini market, so I bought a scented candle to burn. Pillows were lumpy.

The river view was amazing and made the room so worth it. Which is why I’m giving it four stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yosemite View Lodge. The proximity to the park entrance is unbeatable, and the stunning views truly set the mood. Having the river right in the backyard provided a peaceful backdrop that made our family time even more special. Highly recommended for families!

The room was ok the beds were clean and i liked the kitchenette. But the bath tup tile was chipped and cracking and the outlet covers were barely affixed to the wall and broken. The wifi did not work we were really looking forward to that which meant we couldnt watch any of the things on the tv in room. The construction was inconvienient.

Swimming pool and spa was nice. Breakfast is expensive. Staff are nice however I have to call 2x 3x for room service. I called around 8am and still nobody came so for 3nights of stay I was the one who changed our sheets since no more room service after 5pm.

Although we called at 8am to request housekeeping our room, they never cleaned our room. when we came back to the room, it was not cleaned so we requested new towels and some coffee again. Finally A grumpy guy brought new towels. Service was not good at all.
