The Batschari Palais was a wonderful place to stay in Baden-Baden. It has onsite outdoor parking for a small fee or a parking garage for a fee. It is in a quiet neighborhood easily walkable to the center of Baden-Baden.
The hotel has an on-site spa, which was super convenient and affordable. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and willing to help answer all inquiries about the area.

We did not have the breakfast as we opted to have it at one of the cute restaurants in town. WiFi was fast which is great for business travelers. Definitely very good value for money.

Exorbitant laundry fee

Everything about this hotel was excellent except for one thing. We used the laundry service and could not find the prices. It turns out they were listed on the back of a room service menu. We were charged over 100 Euros for 8 items and a few socks and underwear. They also charged a 50% express charge even though they did not deliver until the next morning. The manager refused to give us any compensation. I suggested they put the price list in the laundry bag itself as we would never have used the service if we had known. The laundry cost more than the room!

Luxurious hotel at a great price

I stayed here 3 nights in a double bed room. The room is clean, quiet, and very well appointed with a separate bedroom and mini kitchen including microwave and coffee pod machine. Staff English was good. The wifi was very generous and allows you to connect 5 devices. The breakfast was excellent, with a huge range of choice; maybe a little pricey but Baden Baden is an upper class tourist town so you will find a lot of meals are on the expensive side. The location is fairly good, a modest walk from the town centre and there is a nearby supermarket. You can catch a bus to & from the train station but I caught a taxi in as I couldn't quite understand the bus routes when I arrived.

Was pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. It's more like a one bedroom apartement, nicely furnished, and well-appointed. It is short walking distance from Baden Town Centre, and you can reach almost every attraction around town. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay.

Big and Comfortable - 10 Min Walk to Center

We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was suite with a seperate bedroom. The living area included a large pullout sofa, several chairs, a desk, and a few other pieces. All dimensions were large. We were just 2, but you could have easily fit a big family into this room. The bathroom was great with two skylights, lots of space, and a huge tub shower combo. Everything was clean and we liked that there was a coffee / cappucino maker, minifridge, and microwave. The bedding was super comfortable and we have already decided to book this hotel when we return to Baden Baden this summer as it is air conditioned. It is not in the pedestrian zone of Baden Baden, but about a 10 minute walk from that. However, there are restaurants and shops right by the hotel and more and more as you walk into town. by the way, the walk into town is along a nice stream, so it is a pleasant walk. We recommend purchasing a nice bottle of local wine and enjoying it in the room with the premium glassware provided and comfortable living area.

We expected the two double beds and that was what we saw on the option of advertisement. And the staff in there just said NO...we didn't have two double beds...just one double beds (actually it's two single bed aligned together) ..it's OK for you to explain but PLEASE...for this kind of attitude!?!?!?!DEFINITELY won't recommend to anyone...

Comfortable hotel just few minutes walk from town and facilities. Good wi-fi. Easy to find and parking good - although small charge. Main bedroom was good. Kids had to share sofa bed in other room which was OK but the bed wasn't flat . This was NOT a suitable hotel for self catering though. We had fridge and microwave but nothing else. There were no cooking utensils so we couldn't use microwave other than to heat drinks. And there wasn't enough crockery for the 4 of us. we had to share 2 bowls and 2 plates.

The good stuff:
Huge suite with nice decoration; A VERY quiet place (most residents there seem to be single executives).

Room for improvement:
Staff are not particularly friendly and unable to provide much tourist info (so don't expect much services); Do NOT expect any parking space (they're all occupied by long-term residents) and the closest parking lot costs money and you'll have to hike up a little hill to return to \"hotel\"; Poor appliances and tools (kettle too dirty to be used and a broken bottle opener that cut my finger); Poor air conditioning (you may encounter minor mosquito problems if you open the windows though).

An unusual facility with modern lines and very clean.

Entering our room, the first area you walk thru contains a sink, microwave, plates, glasses and closets for storing your bags. Off to the right was a very large bathroom... the largest on this trip and larger than most you see in the US. Going straight from the entry area takes you into the main room with a double bed (very firm -- maybe too firm for some people), a nice sized couch and coffee table, a desk and chair. Again, quite large.

The decor is modern and artsy yet functional. I'm usually not much for modern decor but this place was just fine.

We had some concerns about noise but the windows blocked out pretty much everything.

I would stay here again.

Spacious room and bath, good for families, but the ground back rooms are located on a very noisy-street. If you close the window you will suffer from heat, if you open the window you can't sleep from car noise.
There is no Air Conditioning, no fan, which made our stay terrible.
It is good if you stay during winter, and be sure to book higher levels room (not g floor).

we got a suite. the room was big and had a kitchenette. it was a 13 minute walk to the center of town. everything, including coffee, was extra. the staff was standoffish and minimally courteous. when i asked about laundry service, neither receptionist would even help at all. they told of the parking fee after we checked out. Our room key didnt work, which is no big deal except they made us feel we were bothering them about it and dint seem the least bit inclined to apologize for the inconvenience. No A/C which isn't unusual, but this place was priced very high to lack amenities. I would exhaust other options before staying here. Can't say it wasnt clean or nice, but would never go back. For coffee, breakfast for two and parking, double the published price.

Whilst there was nothing really wrong with the hotel you couldn't really call the rooms apartments or having a kitchen. They have a microwave and a kettle. Also don't park in their parking the street parking directly in front is free so don't waste your money. It was ok for an overnight stop.

Huge apartment but disappointing kitchenette

The one bedrom apartment was huge with potential to convert the sofas in the living area to single and double beds. Specifically, this apartment can sleep a family of 5 comfortably. However, I was disappointed with the so-called kitchenette. It was just a microwave and a kettle with a few plates, bowls, cups and utensils. There was no knife for cutting, no stove for cooking and most importantly no detergent or cleaning materials to wash up after use. There is a small supermarket nearby and the distance to city center is walkable and it took us approximately 7-10 minutes by foot. Besides the kitchenette, everything else was great.

Really pleased, ultra helpful staff. Right near a central bus stop that was 2 stops from downtown. big modern rooms. Warm and secure. Building had character and was in a quiet yet central area.
If I had to critiscise, i would say that they should clean under the beds a bit more and a couple more english speaking channels on the excellent tvs wouldnt hurt!

Will stay there on my next visit with my family.

Hotel was about a 5 minute walk from downtown and 15 minute walk from the Casino. Room was very nice and spacious. Stayed in 1 bedroom suite that had a small kitchenette. Nicely furnished/equipped/decorated. Would definitely stay again or recommend to someone looking for a nice weekend place to stay. Only complaint would be for the 9 euro per day parking; however, I knew of that in advance.

Great hotel in Baden Baden

Great hotel in a great location, at a bargain price! I was initially hesitant to book a hotel here as there were no reviews on expedia, but we ended up having a great stay there. The building was the first cigarette factory in continental Europe and has recently been renovated to a hotel. Our room were spacious, luxurious, and with very nice decor. Only downside was no bath, just a shower. Very friendly front staff. There are several parking options, including parking right outside the hotel. We stayed here on our 3 day trip to Baden-Baden, Black Forest (1.5hrs away), and Strasbourg (40min away). It's a nice 15 minute walk downtown but buses come on a frequent basis to the Concert Hall (Spielhaus) which is just a block from the hotel. Remember to use the green card they give you here to get discounts for services at the Baths!

Das Zimmer war recht groß und geräumig. Leider hängen am Kinderbett abgeklemmte Kabel raus und die Zahnputzbecher hatten Flecken. Das Frühstück war das schlechteste was mir seit langem untergekommen ist. Erstmal war der Frühstücksraum viel zu voll, so das man keinen Platz bekam. Der Saft schmeckt nach Wasser mit Farbstoff und der Eiersalat auf dem Buffet hatte bereits geschimmelt.

In der Regel wird bei Abreise auch gefragt wie der Aufenthalt war. Dies geschah nicht es gab eine Schlüsselübergabe und das wars.
Preis Leistung waren ok, aber geht auf jeden Fall besser.
Die Möblierung war etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wir waren über Silvester im Hotel und hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Der Empfang an der Rezeption war sehr herzlich und angenehm. Die Parksituation ist etwas kompliziert, haben aber dennoch einen Parkplatz direkt vorm Eingang zugewiesen bekommen. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt für einen besuch in Baden Baden, alles in Laufnähe. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und üppig, für jeden Geschmack was vorhanden. Unser Zimmer selbst, war sehr groß und ruhig gelegen, uns störten lediglich die Hundehaare, die die Reinigungskraft wohl übersehen hat.

Palais in Neo-klassizistischen Stil. Große Junior Suite mit hohen Decken, was man nicht alle Tage hat. Es war sauber und die Empfangsdame sehr freundlich. Frühstück hatten wir nicht. Man konnte direkt vor der Tür parken. Direkt um die Ecke liegt das Festspielhaus und in die Innenstadt muss man 15 Minuten laufen. Aber es ist noch alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar

Die Suiten sind alle sehr groß, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es ist ruhig und die Stadtmitte ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Es sollte jedoch erwähnt werden, das der \"Spa-Bereich\" sehr sehr klein ist und nicht vom Hotel betrieben wird. Die Sauna ist eher wie eine Privatsauna für zu Hause zu sehen und man muß sich an der Rezeption dafür anmelden. Es gibt im Zimmer auch keine Bademäntel und keine Saunahandtücher.

Sehr schön restauriertes historisches Haus. Toll eingerichtete Zimmer bzw. Appartements. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Einzig das Frühstückbuffet könnte etwas besser bestückt sein.

Hohes Niveau der Leistungen

Ich bin nun schon wiederholt in diesem Hotel gewesen. Das Hotel ist immer auf einem hohen Niveau. Der Service ist umfangreich und sehr freundlich.

A decent hotel but lots to improve

I would say the experience was so-so. THere are minor tings which the hotel needs to work on
e.g
1. only 1 kinder chair (baby chair) in the restaurant - with a capacity of more than 15 tables and mostly families visiting, at least 4 chair should be available
2. Restaurant staff could be more friendly and welcoming
3. Breakfast was okayish with limited options. WIth the ratings of the hotel (4*) I was expecting a lot more
4. Location is a bit far from the city. 20 min walk.
5. All in all the feeling of being welcomed was missing
