It’s extremely bad experience after tiring long journey. Only bath towels available in bathroom no hand towels, face towels or even bath mate was not there.
Check in / check out process was also tiring. Booked from Expedia with different amount and actual bill was ₹450 extra. I’ve asked for the reason and they made me sit more 10 minutes to figure it out. Finally after pointing the issue they said sorry it was glitch. What if someone didn’t calculate the amount with the calculator literally like me. I would highly not recommend this place to anybody

We booked the Hazel Suite which accommodates 4 guests (2 adults and 2 children), and had confirmed this at the time of booking (3 months prior to check-in).

We again confirmed this via email & phone call 2 weeks prior to check-in and again when we were at Mumbai Airport (4hrs prior to check-in), that we would be arriving and make sure the room is ready with 4 beds.

Surprisingly, the room was not ready and the staff asked us if we wanted extra beds - this took an hour to sort out!

The hotel does not offer currency exchange service, but one of the staff members (Ravi) tried to con us by offering us a very low rate, which we rejected - he wanted a bribe.

On day 2, the room was nicely cleaned but housekeeping forgot to put 4 towels (they only left 2), and had not provided a new toilet roll. My wife went to Reception who then sent 1 hand towel only. Ravi denied being asked for a toilet roll and 2 extra hand towels, even though my wife asked! He wanted a tip for us bothering him - very unprofessional!

Staff members Amit in Concierge and Amit in Housekeeping were brilliant! Genuine guys wanting to help out!

The Fern is a lovely property in a dismal location, however we were only visiting for one night as we had a flight to catch the next morning. Room size was generous, nice amenities and in site restaurant was of a good standard. Would visit again if it wasn't for the location. Maybe better in the daytime, but didn't really see the location during the day.

I was travelling with two friends and we booked two separate rooms with dinner and breakfast. Both rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast both had plenty of variety and were delicious. Everything was excellent and a much higher standard than I was expecting. It is also located not too far away from Rajkot Airport which was very convenient for us.

A nice hotel near the airport and Hospital Chowk.

I am not from Gujarat,but still I had a comfortable and safe stay in the hotel for 2 days.
The location of the rooms is in proximity to the reception.This guarantees safety.
The staff are well behaved, professional and prompt in their service.
The free airport shuttle at 5:30am in the hotel cab was extremely useful.

This hotel is a great value. The rooms were clean and modern. The wifi worked great and the breakfast was good. The hotel is not walking distance to any sightseeing spots or shopping districts but it was easy to get a rickshaw or ola taxi. We liked this place.

Excellent all around, lots to do here.

We stayed here three nights. The hotel is splendidly decorated and looked after. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with all amenities including a kettle and tea coffee making facilities. The breakfast is one of the best we have eaten and there is an extensive choice of north, South Indian delights as well as the usual continental. Wifi works as well with a daily coupon. The staff are very friendly. The hotel boasts a spa, massage, and gym and whilst we were there there was even a silk Sarcee exhibition. Great place and would stay here again. The one thing I would avoid here is making use of the laundry service as it is expensive. The hotel gives a free shuttle service for airport pickup and drop off.

Check In

When checking in some one from behind will come and the staff will leave yours and start attending person behind you. A third person will come from back for check in and and the staff will leave the first two and work with third person. I think this is an Indian Style BUT not acceptable to the International Standard

Good and bad for this hotel.

Good location for the airport and also access to highway nearby if you are heading out.

Hotel staff are extremely friendly and eager to help where possible, however when asking for information and help their knowledge can be limited. For example, they couldn't help me find the nearest bank.

Now the really bad that changed my opinion of the hotel.
We were staying in 116/117, up to 11pm you could hear a noise, sounded like a generator, bit was told there wasn't one near our room. Then, through the night there was banging and clanking sounds - like someone was moving furniture upstairs. This i believe could have been pipes but hotel didn't know what it was. Although when we asked to change rooms the said the only rooms available works still have the same noise, so they must have been aware beforehand.

For the extra, would have preferred to stay at the imperial palace for a better nights kip.

Great choice.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and responded to any questions/requests quickly and with a smile. The room was clean and had everything you could need. They have a 24 hour restaurant which was decent, but we've had much better food in Gujarat. The breakfast was good.

Very Poor Experience at The Fern Residency Rajkot, Series by Marriott

I had a terrible booking experience at The Fern Residency Rajkot, Series by Marriott, and I do not recommend booking this hotel.

The rooms were not clean on arrival.
There was a fault with the key card reader, and the staff were unable to fix it.

The reception was not helpful at all when we asked to change rooms — they simply said they could not do anything.

Overall service was far below expectations.

The only positive aspect of the stay was the restaurant, which I can recommend — the food and service there were good.

But as for the hotel stay itself, I definitely do not recommend it.
