The room toilet was not working properly. In addition, it wasn’t set correctly and too close to the wall. The elevator was broken and therefore only one elevator was working. This happen last time I stayed here. They always have an excuse why it’s broken. It’s a pattern. The pros are, excellent breakfast and great staff. Bell staff is great.

Places is extremely clean. Service is awesome. Even in the restaurant is great a little problem with the party going on in the outside my room that was another hotel so they moved me to the other side about 11 o'clock at night, but they did it right away, but other than that, it was a great stay.

We stayed for one night in two different nights. The hotel is well located, breakfast was good, the first room we had was better than the second one. The first room was on the 4th floor, well maintained and amenities. The second room was on the 8th floor; we notice that in some of the other rooms there were workers renovating or doing some repairs. Our room felt hot! We were wondering if there was a heater turned on. Same with staff on the front desk, first night felt more warm and kind than the one on the second night. We tried the restaurant for dinner but we couldn’t find something we liked and it looks pricey to us. Besides that, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not friendly staff. She asked for passport which is ok but even fir immigration paper. What? Is a hotel not a federal agency to ask for immigration papers. The room was not comfortable, all the traffic nouse, was impossible to sleep. I complained snd she move is to the 3rd floor were the there was a tour group and kids playing on the hallways. I stayed twice before in this hotel, but never coming back, their wuality of service went from 20 to 1

The check-in process is slow and clunky with a lot of paperwork. It felt like going through customs.
The bedroom felt somewhat old and the bed was perhaps the hardest bed I’ve ever slept on at any hotels I’ve stayed in my life.
When I told the front desk about this, the manager said that ir was the first time he’s heard about the bed being uncomfortable. He was very nice, but I refuse to accept that no one has said anything about that marble slab of a bed.

There were some local cafes and restaurants nearby and the nearby shopping centre was within walking distance for more options and purchases. The hotel had a restaurant and bar area on the ground floor and parking for guests accessible from outside with a lift that serviced the lower parking floors.

Staff cleaned the rooms and restocked throughout the day and the amenities were accessible and easy to use. Reception staff and porters were very friendly and happy to help.

Rooms have no air conditioning so you either keep a window open and put up with the noise from outside (cars, ambulances etc) or keep it close and ask for a fan. Carpet was smelly, like dirty feet. Spa had nobody at the front desk and it was noisy. The music by the check in area is so unnecessarily loud. In room dining was average. Better to walk around the block to one of the restaurants, there’s a burger place and a Mexican place. It’s a shame as it is not my first time in this hotel and I used to like it, but it looks like it’s getting old and in need of some improvement.

THERE ARE NO AIR CONDITIONERS. To keep cool, they advise you to open the windows and let all the highly toxic, polluted, and contaminated air in to your room. The air pollution is so bad it will make your eyes burn.

When I tried to cancel my stay because there were no air conditioners in the room, the manager said, \"All of the websites says we don't have air conditioners.\" I had Hotels.com open on my laptop and I responded, \"No it doesn't, here is your listing right here and it doesn't say that.\" So he responded, \"Well the fact that it doesn't list air conditioners means we don't have them.\" So I responded, \"Oh so since you didn't list beds and towels and toilet paper, should I assume you don't have those either?\" He realized his lies at the time were stupid, so he changed subjects.

Anyhow, they tried to say that they wouldn't give me a refund because Hotels.com had to do it. But Hotels.com said the hotel had to do it. So they were both passing the buck.

It overall was a terrible experience.

Fantastic hotel in Bogota

Our stay at the Hotel Capital was fantastic.
The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably clean. The twin rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms have a good size and a powerful shower.
The breakfast (included) provides a good variety of local fresh food and eggs to order.
The staff are the best: polite, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and honest.
My son forgot his wallet with all his IDs and money inside, and two days later I went to pick it up from the supervisor Marta Pineda, who had kept it safe for us. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and for your staff’s honesty and integrity. We will return.
