At check in staff were ok but when i seen the room i went back to reception to ask of they made a mistake because no way was the room premium. Very bluntly I was told I was lucky to have a room because the hotel was full…. I wasn’t the only guest staying in the hotel.

The guy who checked us in made me pay for the room again even though I'd already paid via Expedia. He then put us in a standard room instead of the premium room I'd booked. I finally managed to sort out a refund with the manager 2 days later. Only 1 lift working intermittently. Breakfast was nice. Good position next to U bahn.

Very nice, spacious and clean room. We had the garden view so it was very silent. Extremely comfortable bed, nice smelling shower gels, very clean room. Heating worked so room was warm and cozy. Hotel right next to U-bahn, supermarkets and restaurant.

Very convenient location in a nice area. The double beds are rather small, and the rooms were tight - but very quiet and totally blackout curtains so it was very easy to sleep.

Soaps in the shower were nice, room was a comfy temperature

This was a great location with so many nearby restaurants and attractions. The last day the elevator was out, not super convenient, but things happen that are out of control. We didn’t like that parking was at a different location off of the property. The room was quiet and very clean and comfortable.

The room was bigger than I expected, and the location was super handy. I stayed there for the Berlin marathon, and it was easy to hop on public transport since it was right outside. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy enough. But, my room was on the top floor, and the elevator only went to the fifth floor. I had to climb the stairs to get to my room. After running a marathon, that's something I would have preferred to skip. I wasn't told about that beforehand.

We had arrived the the hotel and checked in and taken up to our room, upon arrival at our room we were told that we would get our room key in the morning due to an issue with key cards, this was not communicated by the person at check in only the person who took us up to our room. As we were only staying one night we never did get our room key as we checked out first thing in the morning.
The room was spacious and fairly clean, and the beds comfortable. The road was noisy but blocked out when the windows were closed. There was a minimarket round the corner which was useful and a U2 line station over the road.

I got swindled by the blonde girl that works in the afternoon, we were told to pay the city tax as soon as we got there then as we checked out, we had to pay it again. We told them we paid for it when we got there and there was no note of it. We didn’t argue since it was time to go and the receptionist most likely just read what was on the notes. Very inappropriate and very unprofessional, we had a great time around the area but the check out just left a bad taste. Not only that but there was an issue with the toilet paper, had we not had travel wipes then things would have been bad.

We encountered various issues during our stay, which were not satisfactorily resolved despite speaking to staff. We had booked a double room and on check in were directed to a room which was clearly intended only for 1 person (given its size and the fact there was only 1 duvet, 1 pillow, 1 towel). I asked to be moved to a double room, which we were — all good so far. First night’s sleep was bad as the road outside was incredibly noisy, but given the heat the windows needed to be open (no fan/AC). The next day we returned to find housekeeping had not visited & our room key did not work; we got the key sorted but were told housekeeping were gone for the day. The next morning, around 7am, someone came into our room; this happened again at 9.30am. When we asked at reception about this, we were told we shouldn’t even be in the room we were in and should instead be in the tiny single room we’d been initially allocated — there was ongoing work to all the rooms on that floor. The staff were apologetic for someone having come into our room but largely unconcerned; they argued the single room was definitely for two people & didn’t listen to the fact it had been set up for 1. We asked for housekeeping to visit that day. We again returned to find our key card would not work & housekeeping had not visited — when I went to get the key sorted and mention about no housekeeping, the same member of staff from the morning was there and couldn’t have been less interested in trying to help me.

Basic hotel, disappointing service.

Upon our arrival we found the large room to be clean and tidy. However the room safe did not work, when we spoke to reception about this we were given a key for safe and assured that someone would look it the following day, A few days after our arrival the main light for the room stopped working as did the TV again we reported this to reception and was assured that the maintenance person would look at this once on shift again. This never happened despite staying in hotel for 7 nights and speaking to 3 different members of reception staff about the issues.
Used towels were changed daily, bin was emptied daily, beds were tidied daily, however bedding was never changed during our stay, we expected it to be changed mid way through our stay.
Breakfast in the hotel had a good selection of continental items which were frequently refreshed. Breakfast staff were all attentive, clearing dishes and cleaning tables as soon as vacant.

We stayed here for two nights with two kids and we had very nice time in the property, in the city and with the staffs !! Thank you so much to make it worth staying in your hotel! The people were nice, and we also enjoyed the Burger restaurant attached to the hotel!

Pillows and beds were very comfortable, room was bigger than expected so perfect for three people. Shower was good and powerful, only issue was the step was very high to get in and out of. I have really bad eye sight and hurt my foot when climbing out the one time. The room was also very warm during our stay, there was no A/C so we asked reception for any fans for the room but unfortunately didn’t have any.

TV couldn’t make it start ( they switched the remote but still- not big deal)
Only thing washroom had some plastics on the floor from previous guests I guess. No dirty at all but just that. Could had been cleaned more thoroughly but again… not dirty, no stains.

The staff was great! We made same day reservations and the gentleman at the counter got us the last room available that accommodated 4 adults! The property was under construction, so not the cleanest, but understandable. The property itself, is safe- room was clean and spacious. There is a restaurant attached which was delicious- great burgers and Mediterranean! The neighborhood around didn't seem like the greatest but we still walked around and returned safely.

Money stolen & emails ignored

I emailed the hotel twice as I was unsure of how to get to the hotel, both emails were ignored. I visit Berlin most years for business so I’m used to the public transport system and found the hotel myself. Staff were efficient, some less surly than others. As I was the only guest in my room I left a note to disregard the cleaning. Despite this someone entered my room and stole money from a spare wallet hidden in my bag, something I was unaware of until I’d returned home. I won’t be staying here again

I stayed in the hotel for a week. The atmosphere in the hotel was nice and cozy. The cleaning service was excellent. Breakfast was versatile enough. The hotel is close to cultural attractions (Berliner Philharmoniker, Gemäldegalerie, Staatsbibliothek) and the metro is right next to it. Basic grocery stores and cafes are close by.

Tam bir fiyat performans oteli. Çalışanlar güler yüzlü ve ilgili. Rezervasyon yapılan oda giriş katta olduğu halde ricam üzerine daha üst katta bir oda verdiler. Oda tren istasyonuna bakıyordu ve beklediğimden çok genişti. Ancak odada kettle ve çay ile buzdolabı yoktu, bu açıdan puan kırdım. Kahvaltı tatmin edici idi. Konum olarak turistik yerlere 3-3,5 km uzaklıkta ancak tren istasyonunun hemen yanında. Etrafta çok fazla supermarket ve alışveriş yapılabilecek yer var. Tekrar gelirsem yine bu otelde kalırım.

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Badezimmer könnte saniert werden dort war die Heizung schon sehr rostig und auch die Duschhalterung war in die Jahre gekommen.
Das Frühstück hatte eine super Auswahl und sehr lecker.

Got a room on the unknown 7th floor. Lift only goes to 6th floor. Not mentioned anywhere that there is a top floor without lift. After walking along corridoors for a while we finally got to the last door. When we opened it we were hit by a horrible stinch. Smelled like sewer and mold, and it was intense!! Sadly the room smelled the same! Went to the front desk to complain and get a new room. The guy working there knew no English, and very little German. We got no help. He wrote our names down that we wanted another room, but we had to stay in that smelly room 1 night. It was horrible. And it also turned out the shower didn't work properly. You could only get very hot or almost boiling water in it.

The day after, we heard nothing from the front desk and had to go down and ask about getting a new room one more time. We did get one a lot smaller than we had booked, but at least it didn't have that sewer smell.

And the first night the fire alarm went off 3 times. All false alarms. The fire brigade turned something off in the end, and it finally got quiet. The next night the alarm went off again! This time the firebrigade supervisor was not happy. He told the personell that they had to get it fixed asap, as there had been 4 false alarms in less than 24 hours. And if they got another alarm later on they would not come. Did not feel safe hearing that!

Das Garner Hotel Berlin eignet sich perfekt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in der Stadt – zum Beispiel für einen Konzert- oder Musicalbesuch oder generell für ein Wochenende voller Erlebnisse. Zwar merkt man dem Hotel an, dass es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, dennoch war die Sauberkeit im gesamten Haus absolut überzeugend.

Die Lage ist ein großer Pluspunkt: Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe, und die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr ist hervorragend. Auch der Alexanderplatz ist nicht weit entfernt, was das Hotel besonders attraktiv für Berlin-Besucher macht.

Zum Frühstück kann ich nichts sagen, da ich es nicht genutzt habe. Insgesamt jedoch ein solides und praktisches Hotel, das sich ideal für kurze, gut geplante Aufenthalte in Berlin anbietet.

A very pleasant hotel. The room was clean and tidy, and everything I needed was provided. The bed linen was fresh and white.
However, I wouldn’t recommend room 001 for light sleepers, as there were rolling-cart noises until midnight - especially noticeable in the bathroom. Early in the morning (around 7AM), the noise started again.
Also, for those booking through Expedia: keep in mind that the city tax (Übernachtungssteuer) must be paid separately at the hotel.

Frukosten var över alla förändringar och så trevlig personal. Men i rummet var muclet trasig. Trasig dusch plus mögel. Vattenfukt vid alla fönster. Rummet var väldigt stort och öppet ( familjerum) men väldigt lyhörda ljud med syrener var 10min dygnet runt. Städarna tog lång tid och städa rummet och då var massor missat. Fönsterna var inte alltid stängda ordentligt missat och fylla på toapapprer och tvål på toaletten. Och städerna hade inte arbetskläder som gjorde svårt och veta om de var gäster eller inte. Inchecklingen tog väldigt lång tid. Nästa 45min stor vi entrén i väntan. De finns mycket restauranger runt om kring hotellet.

Otorligr nöjda med hotellfrukostens personal och utbud.

Vi kommer inte boka på detta hotellet igen.
