I booked myself a solo getaway and absolutely loved my stay. I stumbled across this place by chance and booked on a whim! I'm glad I did.The room was absolutely beautiful, and the view from the terrace was unbelievable. One of my favorite parts was having my morning coffee out there admiring the view and watching the sunset. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious!
I also really enjoyed my spa treatment, and the entire spa area was fantastic. So many options to choose from, including various services, the saunas, steam room, and pool.
I’ll definitely be returning and plan to make this a yearly getaway for myself. See you next year!

A return visit to Eganridge after a few years (2021 the first time). A lovely stay in many ways...comfortable bed, nice view of the lake from the Terrace rooms...Jacuzzi tub, spacious room and bathroom with separate shower, amenities like bathrobes and slippers...staff very accommodating in arranging a late check-out and holding on to my luggage, since I was meeting friends that afternoon for a round of golf. But the place could definitely use a spruce up, showing its age, especially for the prices being asked.

I recently stayed at Eganridge Resort and unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by their listing on Expedia. The website highlights a private beach and pool, but in reality, the “beach” is just a small, unkempt patch of shoreline that should not be marketed as a proper beach. The “pool” is actually a plunge pool, which is very different from what guests would reasonably expect—this needs to be made clear upfront.
The toiletries were very limited and not replenished during the stay, which was disappointing as I certainly wasn’t going to use what appeared to be leftovers from previous guests. Overall, the service and amenities did not align with the price point.

The property itself is beautiful however the hotel and restaurant are very dated and in need of repairs. There was not enough staff and we witnessed many frustrated, angry guests. The spa was wonderful and well staffed. Billing system upon checkout is also painful. We checked out 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for additional charges to be explained and or deposit returned!

Unfortunately the sofa bed which was supposed to sleep two was so horrible 2 of us slept on the floor. They had no bedding for it and I had to get them to find something to use. Staff were nice to help but really the extra sleeping was worse than I have seen in crack motel rooms. Come on Eganridge, you can do better and have been better in the past

The property is very charming and had a lovely visit at the spa. Would want to stay here again for sure. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. Not enough staff working and they were out of most items we selected. We ordered a bottle of wine and took 4 attempts before they had one in stock and it arrived after our meal was finished. I felt bad for the person serving us as she had the entire dining room and bar to manage by herself.

My boyfriend and I visited Eganridge at the end of April. It was the off season however it was so nice that they were open and the room was very clean and luxurious. The spa is beautiful and it was a very pleasant experience. Overall I highly rate this resort.

Great: location, quality of the maintenance facilities (except for docks), very nice and helpful Staff. We found breakfast service nice, but very very disorganized, and therefore unreasonably overpriced! The Restaurant needs to invest in a modern urban quality coffee maker, especially a proper espresso machine used these days in restaurants and coffee shops that charge this much for coffee in addition to the poor quality drip coffee maker that to some will suffice. The shift Manager needs to be more proactive in more efficient organization of the breakfast service. With very few tables taken, we waited for half an hour for very simple eggs dishes, and coff. In case the same Food & Beverage Manager is also responsible for the dinner, we decided not to risk, and not to overspend, and instead drove to an outside restaurant. This I consider very bad, especially if the Management of the Resort is not prepared to pay enough attention to the opportunity to improve the quality of breakfast service as it strongly discourages us from dinning at their restaurant, unless they make special announcement about improvements in the management of the food and beverage service, including breakfast service. Another strong weakness is the docks/marina area. In contrast to the rest of the facilities, Looks dilapidated and abandoned, certainly prohibitive for those who are looking for a decent, even if simple, docking experience with a boat. The docking does not seem easily accessible either.

The maintenance man seemed to take that seriously and said he’d look into it immediately. I was only there one night, but I’m sure those minor things were remedied. Otherwise, the toiletries were nice quality. They may want to consider putting bath foam to use in the jacuzzi, but even without it was very relaxing.

It’s a nice quiet little resort. The people were great. The Stables restaurant was good, great Nachos, they had canoes and paddle boards for use. We didn’t get a chance to golf, they don’t rent out clubs. We didn’t get to try the dining as there was a wedding on. Seems a great place for a wedding.

The overwhelming first impression was that I was staying in The Overlook from The Shining. Admittedly, I was there in late March, so it's the off season. The hotel was undergoing major renovations so the hallways were filled with tools, materials, and the smells of varnish and sawdust. Breakfast isn't served until 8:30, so that's a non-starter for anyone needing to get to work. Food at dinner is \"boil in a bag\"--literally. It was edible but definitely not worth the price. Went to the bar once for \"Happy Hour\" --no one working there could tell me what the happy hour specials were. No housekeeping services done over my 4 day stay.

We enjoyed playing the golf course. However we didn't have anything to do after golf. The website made reference to walking the grounds, but there is no map of the grounds. Only place we saw to walk was in the subdivision of homes. We are early risers as well, thus waiting until 8:30am for dining room to open for breakfast was inconvenient. Overall the food in the dining room was good, but too expensive .

Booked this property as they state are pet friendly, for a fee of 25$. Called their reception right after the booking to confirm that we are bringing our dog. They said it’s confirmed, no problem. Afrer check out, they charged me 75$ for a dog they weren’t aware I was bringing. I had to pay for their unprofessional service. Beware!

It is 10 mins drive to Fenelon Falls and Bobcayeon (additional shops and dining options).
We are giving 4 instead of 5 stars because in both restaurants we found the service could be improved, food seemed to take a bit long to come out of the kitchen...

My wife and I booked a two night stay at Eganridge. Overall our stay was enjoyable. The resort is close to Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls - both pleasant and quaint towns to walk around and shop.
We found the staff both pleasant and accommodating and we were treated like welcome guests.
As nice as the facility is there were some issues with maintenance and upkeep.
We had an issue with the AC not working and we were given another room when they checked and confirmed.
The rooms are dated and in need of a facelift. The furniture (curtain rods, chairs, rugs, luggage caddies) really need to be replaced.

We had a horrible experience with the manager, Jason who I’m sure will prove my point in a response to this review. I had a king size terrace room ground floor facing the lake with a patio. Beautiful room & views. Wasn't there for the activities but for a wedding but it did look as if there was lots to do with tobogganning, snow shoeing etc. The corridor outside the 2 floors of rooms was chilly, not fully enclosed & insulated but the rooms were toasty. The staff were all exceptional. I felt like they were friends. All the meals we had were wonderful so the cook is great. & gave us a bit of leeway on Sunday morning for breakfast as we had had a late night.

We loved the location with our large patio overlooking the lake. The room was very comfortable and quiet and other than the carpet needing a vacuuming it was very clean. The Stables pub was a great choice for dinner and although some of the items were unavailable from the menu the burger and fries we chose were delicious.

The views from the property are absolutely gorgeous. However, unless you are there solely to golf or use the spa there isn’t a lot of other things to do. But we were happy to have a weekend to relax and enjoy the views from our balcony.

The dining options were less than satisfactory. We opted for the patio and they were out of many menu items. Even Lemonade.

Beautiful grounds, beautiful views. Beach is full of geese poop. No lounge chairs on the beach, so it is your choice - lie down on top of that \"treasure\" or do not use the beach... We supposed to have a bonfire every day, but on the first day we were told that there are not that many people (not enough to have a bonfire), the next day it was raining and the third day when ppl were enjoying bonfire, at 11 pm we were told that we have to leave because the stuff wants to go home... Saturday night? We were stunned. Felt like we are in kindergarten ... Was not friendly. Food is below average. Poor selection. Main dish is spaghetti and side dish is spaghetti. Creativity stops there. No desire to go back.

There was an issue with the toilet in the room we had booked for our daughter. After an almost sleepless night, a room request was made after she to have someone look at the toilet and this was not dealt with. Beautifull spot very clean & well kept staff was wonderfull but the cottage we rented was showing it's age you had to be carefull not to fall through the rotten deck boards on the deck they tried to repair it but did not work well.
