The property is conveniently located near a train station and on one of Lisbon's main streets. We are a family of three adults and we were upgraded to a mini suite which was a welcome surprise. Great staff very friendly and helpful. If there was an issue, they immediately fix and sort the problems. Very attentive and offering travel plans if needed. The breakfast buffet was tasty and a good variety as it introduce some Portuguese dishes. The room was spacious, cleaned promptly every day when allowed. Overall, a great stay! The staff were super friendly, and the hotel offers excellent spaces to work if you prefer not to do so in your room. We also received great VIP Access perks and definitely felt like VIPs. The only drawback is that the rooms are not well sound‑insulated.

Location was very good for this hotel close to all the luxury shopping and within a 30 minute walk to the water front and main attractions. Room was a good size with plenty of space for 2 of us and our luggage. One thing was the room definitely had a strong smell to it, almost like an old smell/musty. Not sure if it was something used to clean the room since the bathroom and hallway outside the room didnt have this smell. Front desk staff was amazing and answered any questions we had. Didnt like that they don't offer an iron inside the room, you have to go to a specific room near the lobby to iron your clothes if needed

It's a smallish old boutique hotel. Thus, don't expect modern rooms or furniture. However, very clean, superb location near many stores, super friendly staff, and nice breakfast selection. Staff were super attentive and engaged and very pleasant at every interaction. It’s definitely a more traditional city hotel which is rather a relief after so many modern boutique-style hotels. Bar, restaurant and breakfast service were all excellent - as well as bell staff and reception. Housekeeping was fast and thorough and the refreshments station in the ground floor lounge was very welcome - location is great with short walk to the funicular, or metro access immediately adjacent to the hotel on the main avenue.

The hotel is very old but was likely incredible during its heyday. Our room was spacious and clean. The front desk people were efficient but not friendly. We attempted to book airport transfers through the hotel but did not get help making those arrangements prior to arrival. If I return to Lisbon, I will find another property in the same area. The residual smell of cigarette smoke and the dated carpet along with the lack of communication from the staff about the transfer cause three strikes for me.

The bathroom in the room (as well as our friends') was a bit dated. The bathtub is quite narrow and the plumbing is not exactly new. Because the tub is so narrow and has high sides, it's a bit of a challenge for people with knee and hip replacements. Having said that, it was one of the few hotels that had bath sheet sized towels and face cloths.

Because the tub is so narrow and has high sides, it's a bit of a challenge for people with knee and hip replacements. Having said that, it was one of the few hotels that had bath sheet sized towels and face cloths.
