The location near the Salt plains is very nice. Overall the rooms are ok for the price, the . However the service has left me absolutely floored - see below. Overall, they want to work with tour groups and function as a resort. They are not the right place for someone who wants a nice hotel but is interested in handling things on their own and wants the flexibility of a hotel. Also remember that what you pay on Expedia etc is not the correct price because you are far away from everyplace else and you will spend on their meals / buffets. Still if you want to stay here, skip the all inclusive package and pay in bolivianos that you change from USD for approximately B9.30-B9.50 and it will come out a lot cheaper. Similarly book your own tours instead of using the ones from the reception. Finally, also make sure you are ready to wait till 3 PM no matter how busy or lightly loaded the hotel may be.

I upgraded the review from 1* to 3* primarily because of Fernando who runs the restaurant. He exemplified great service - flexible and trying to help. He had a good dinner Buffett with great dessert treats but I wanted fruit and he made it happen. Similarly at the buffet breakfast, he brought me Chia seeds even thought it was not part of the breakfast buffet.

The housekeeping/reception manager would learn a lot from Fernando in terms of how to be flexible and hospitable.

The stay offered a high-end physical environment, though it was hampered by logistical and culinary shortcomings that do not align with a premium image. We stayed at the dome (glamping room).

The Facility
The domes provide exceptional comfort, featuring floor heating, AC, and high-quality toiletries. Common areas and the bar/games room enhance the \"Instagrammable\" appeal. However, the absence of \"Do Not Disturb\" signs or physical barriers led to guests approaching or attempting to enter private domes. The addition of a bedroom trash bin is a necessary functional upgrade.

Culinary & Service
While specific staff—notably Maxwell Duran Duran and the housekeeping team—provided excellent service, the food quality was underwhelming. The dishes were consistently dry, suggesting a need for improved culinary technique. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet lacked variety and essential allergy or dish labeling.

Tour & Communication
Management communication was inconsistent; contradictory information regarding tour inclusions resulted in redundant private bookings. The stargazing \"tour\" lacked professional-grade equipment, such as cameras or specialized lighting, and there was a lack of clarity regarding its private nature. It functioned more as a basic shuttle service than a specialized excursion.

A beautiful location with great amenities, but the tour and culinary execution require more polish to match the premium setting

Room was clean, amenities were good. A refreshing unique place to stay. Had dinner at the restaurant and had a very happy meal(though expensive).

Some staff(like the person who carried the luggage) was extremely sweet and went out of the way whereas some staff were not super interested in customer service(front desk). We had a morning flight to catch and taxi was supposed to pick us at 7.30AM. We requested if breakfast can be packed as to go but we were told that breakfast counter opens at 7AM and we will have sufficient time but the breakfast didn't open until 7.15AM and even at that time, they refused to give a take out breakfast. taxi shuttle was priced per person and felt slightly expensive considering airport was just 10mts away.

Gave 4 stars mainly because of not so caring staff but otherwise excellent hotel

The staff are not trained on hospitality . They are trained to be very calculative ... Most of us will have early flight out of uyuni and the hotel staff will not offer a small Togo breakfast . It's is an expensive hotel and the smallest hospitality cannot be offered makes the stay really not good . Even small hotels offer Togo breakfast for courtesy

Transfer back to airport works out expensive if more than 1 person as charge per person rather than vehicle, so if 2 people or more taxi is cheaper

We liked the room and the view from the room and the bar, breakfast room etc. The hotel had lots of different seating areas which were cosy and there was a games room. The down side for us was the expense of the food and drinks in the bar and the mediocre food. We had gotten much better food at a coffee shop in Uyuni for a quarter of the price, so felt like it was too inflated. We also found the room to be noisy. Every time someone turned on a tap, a loud pump noise is heard which disturbed our sleep a lot and also you can hear the room next door. The staff were all polite and friendly enough but lacked the warmth we had been used to up to this point, so all in all it was an ok stay but for the price, we would have expected more.

This is a high-priced hotel. Front desk staff and spa staff were excellent. The hotel itself is lovely, its location is up on a hill which provides lovely views of the salar. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable and facilities modern.

However the dining options and staff need some serious attention. The dining staff spent more time on their phones than attending the food and customers.

One evening we weren’t offered drinks and had to go to the bar and interrupt staff member on their phone to place our drink order.

On our second evening we were served leftovers from the previous two evenings!!!! For over $350/night I expected better service and food.

There are a lot of extra charges that are often included at other hotels such as a shuttle to the airport, or room service. It’s a good hotel just temper your expectations as the value for money is not as good as other hotels in the area.

Unfortunately I got sick due to altitude and the hotel, besides some local herb infusions, didn’t have any medication to help fight the sickness. I understand they don’t want to be responsible for any contraindications or side effects but they should have medication available and simply have the guest sign a release of liability. The hotel is far away from any pharmacy so more than herbal choices should be made available

It's a very nice property, but is very far away from everything which makes it unike, however they charge for everything and feels like they take advantage of their guest. The staff is kind but not awesome, the service is average for the price they charge. I had the opportunity to stay in a close hotel (Palacio de Sal) and there is a very big difference in service, at Palacio de Sal the transfer to the airport is complementary and ther is a huge difference in the service that the staff provides. Very nice hotel, location is amazing but nothing around just this hotel and thats what makes is special. Its a bog hotel a lot of room but no gym, I would stay longer if they had gym and they have space to make it.
Only other thing happened my shower had no pressure so I had to use bottle to fill out water and shower like that, i told them it had not enough pressure and water was coming down so close to wall it was impossible to shower they said they would send someone but never did

this property is an excellent place to stay if you were going to see the salt flats it’s right on the border of the flats and has great sunset views. You can also see the night sky out of the rooms that face the flat and it is awesome. The service was great the staff was very friendly and helpful food was excellent and the place was warm showers were nice and warm too!

Stunning views. Great architecture. Place full with cute corners and views of the salar. Great spa with a hot tub you can book. Fun game room.
VERY distant from town (30 min) on an unpaved road, with no lighting and hotel has no shuttle service into town.
Rooms are super nice, with great views, but there are no closets or shelves to place clothes or belongings.
Overall, a very good place to stay, where you can relax and walk to the salar, yet be aware that it’s not convenient if you want to dine elsewhere, and they have strict and changing schedules on when the restaurant operates. Tour operators charge extra for picking you up at Luna Salada.
I personally would go back.

The sunrise and sunset view from the hotel are breathtaking. There is tons of chimneys around the hotel burning eucalyptus tree and the smell is purifier. Very friendly stuff.
Hotel is rigth on the edge of the salar so there is nothing around. They need to have herbals teas and water to offer at the reception and make their restaurant menu more varied.

This hotel is very beautiful and clean. The art work is phenomenal! Compared to the cheaper hotels in uyuni this was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. The pizza in the sports bar area was like no other! The hotel offers a transfer back to the bus terminal but I’m sure you can get it cheaper with the locals. It’s a very safe environment and you can also walk to the flats from the hotel.
My only cons were you need to pack water because you have to pay extra for water at the hotel.
Pack warm clothes the room took forever to warm up. I stayed here in the middle of March.
The water pressure in the shower is very low.
In the early mornings it wasn’t much hot water until late morning.
We had a drink pass but it was not for cocktails, soda, wine or water :( only for tea, a Bolivian speciality drink, and something else I forgot

We had a very special stay at the hotel which was so unique. Some amazing views and all the facilities you could want. Taxi from airport cost 250BOB but hotel offered cheaper transfer.

The staff were great.. Our waiter, Paulo, was very attentive. Lucy (guide) and Dimitrius (driver) gave us the most exquisite day tour of the salt flats. I would highly recommend visiting this hotel and hope to come back again

This is a unique and beautifully designed hotel on the edge of the salt flats. The service was the best I’ve experienced for a long time. There are lots of chill out areas and log burning fires for the chilly nights. The rooms are lovely. The dinner buffet was excellent and good value for money. Nice hotel close to the salt flats

We had an overall good experience at this salt hotel. However, the shower experience was not as pleasant as it took over 10 mins for it to get hot, and the water pressure kept going in and out. There is only one flight out from Uyuni to La Paz, so we had to pretty much hang around the hotel all day. The hotel for the most part is very cold, unless you’re sitting in the lobby check in area. We had asked for the game room fire place to be lit, and it took over 2 hrs for anyone to even come and tell us they’re all out of wood and still chopping outside? They could’ve taken some wood from the other fire places (which was full) and lit the game room up first for us in the meantime. It was like they were being cheap on the firewood during the day. The hotel is about 45 mins out from the Uyuni town and airport.

A luxury hostel, probably already the best in town

Attracted by the photos and chose this hotel to stay for two nights, the interior of the room was good but all other details are just fair, you shouldn’t expect it is a luxury hotel but rather a five star luxury hostel. There are several disappointments, air conditioner is noisy, no slippers provided, just got shampoo and conditioner but no shower gels, pillows and bed sheets with washable stains, complimentary water for first night only, none for second night( can’t really understand the logic behind), quite a significant gap between the salt bricks and door frame, basically you can look through inside of the room from the gap, rip off price for airport transport...as a hostel, it got excellent facilities like snooker table and stuff. Overall it is hard to say whether it is recommended or not, but I think one should lower the expectation, it is anyway a remote town with limited resources

Drinks are additional. Since the city was blocked by a strike on checkout morning, tours and taxis from the city could not reach the hotel. The hotel arranged a shuttle at 5:30 for US$11. There was no refund for missed-breakfast starts from 7:00.

Highly recommend

I was welcomed after having trouble getting to my reservation BC of a festival in Uyuni and the hotel went above and beyond to make my stay incredible. The hotel is a once in a lifetime experience... the staff was amazing. Food great. WiFi excellent. Salt flats out of the world! In order to navigate transport, just get a cab from town and get their contact for return service to avoid the hotel price.

Excellent hotel and accomodations, very expensive, is a Salt hotel located in a Salt Flat, of course i will need water and 2.5$ each small botle is too much. i think i expend in water the price of the night at the hotel.

Beautiful hotel along the salt flats

We were very pleased with our stay at Luna salada. Everything was wonderfully from the front desk staff all the way to our room with a splendid view. We saw pictures before we stayed there and we noticed that the floors were filled with salt almost like sand, so we were a little bit weary about this as to how we would would across the hotel but for our surprise they updated the floors and now they’re wooden floors, which was ideal for us! The cleanliness of the room was very impressive, probably the best throughout Bolivia. We would definitely come back!
