We put the sign on the door asking for our room to be cleaned while we were gone after two nights, we were gone 6 hours but the room wasn't cleaned. I had to go to the front desk and get supplies, towels, coffee, garbage bags, which would have been replaced by a maid. I told them no one came to do the room and other than getting the items I requested they didn't offer to make it right.

I arrived around 2:40 hoping for an early check in which was always 3:00 when I've stayed there which is many times. The guy at the desk pointed to the 4:00 check-in policy and said I would have to wait until then. I was tired and needed a bathroom and was in no mood and told him I didn't care what the sign said. He then said if I wanted early check in it would cost $10.00. I balked at that and he then said he'd do me a favor and not extort (my words) the $10.00 and let me check in. Here's the biggest part of this story.....I WAS THE ONLY GUEST AT THE MOTEL! The place was EMPTY and this guy wants $10.00 for me to get my room of which cost by the way $260.00 for the two nights. I'm a seasoned business traveler and would not argue with him during high season nor expect early check in. But did I mention that I WAS THE ONLY GUEST THERE!!! Well, the guy was stupid in that he's lost a regular customer.

The pool was really cold. The check out time posted differed from room (11 v 12). The breakfast was okay (clearly down sized due to economy). The walls were thin and guests were banging around until 4 am. It was okay, but not a place I’d return to based on experiences at other local hotels/motels that were better. A decent cheap stay.

Negatives: Our room was dingy, outdated, and not cleaned as expected. The doorknob/door didn’t work right and there were almost no plug-ins in the room.
The pool/hot tub area was outdated (lots of rust) and had a very strong chlorine smell. Every time we went to the pool there were no towels. It could be hard to get help as staff weren’t regularly at the front desk. Mini-golf was dilapidated and best for very young children.

Positives: Price was great, continental breakfast was good, great location, nice staff, ample parking, and the lobby was very queen.

Overall: It’s fine for one night stays but I wouldn’t recommend it long term.

Outdated facility. Pleasant front desk staff. Sagging mattresses. Continental breakfast a major disappointment: frosted flakes, honey cheerios, tater tots, dino nuggets, sausage, taquitos, scrambled eggs (were orange, found a hair in them). Waffle maker, toaster. White bread, English muffins, or dinner rolls. Lemonade from a mix (too strong) and grape juice (thick like syrup) in gallon-sized pitchers. Coffee in a carafe, or hot water for hot cocoa packets. No tea. No fruit. Flimsy plastic utensils, paper plates. Dirty ketchup bottle on the counter for your eggs/tots. $20 extra if you want to check in early to a room that's already available.

The internet was off and on, I had homework I needed to get done. There was unknown stains on the walls in the bathroom, on the ceiling and even by the bed. There was trash and even medication left behind the nightstand. Getting anyone to be at the front desk or answer the phone was an issue. I didn’t appreciate it. I first reserved a king bed with an ocean view, got the king bed and a parking lot view checking in. I went back to the front desk and they wanted to charge me over $150 to “upgrade me”. I finally got my ocean view, but two queen beds and I was so disappointed in the room. Not to mention I had two towels for a 5 day stay. I’m never staying there again after the issues and back and forth I had.

Breakfast was nice, the staff were friendly. Not the greatest but not the worst hotel. Friend I traveled with here stayed at this one as a kid, but management must have changed or something because it’s apparently much different. The bathroom also had shampoo, conditioner and lotion but no body wash? Aside from the bar soap at the sink. The outlet was also in a pretty inconvenient spot behind one of the nightstands, unless you use the one in the bathroom. Other than that, the room was nice and everything we needed was accommodated. The price was decent too for a couple nights. Also at a nice distance from the beach!

Our room was mediocre for the price. Spackle all over the ceiling and walls, the slider door was so fogged up you couldn’t see much through it. If you sat on the couch you ended up in the middle cause the couch sank that way. The parking situation was horrible.

They had an issue with checking me in.

She took my credit card for damages. She gave me keys to the room. But for some reason, I was never checked in with Expedia.
I got an email from Expedia saying “How was the check -in process. I gave a review. Then early the next morning Expedia sent another email that stated I was a no-show even though I was staying in the room already.
That night they had given the room to someone else. They walked in on my Husband and I.
They said I never checked in? How could that be when I had Keys to the room.

We were very disappointed with my stay. The jets in the tub in our room caused me to break out in hives, likely because of whatever chemicals or residue were inside them. There were also Corona bottle caps underneath the bed, which made the room feel unclean.

In addition, it would have been helpful if the front desk staff had communicated basic information more clearly to guests upon arrival. Breakfast was also very disappointing. The selection was poor, there were no beverages available except coffee, and apparently guests were expected to ask for each specific item. On top of that, the staff member cleaning up the breakfast area began wiping things down before I was even able to get my food, which felt unwelcoming and rushed.

Overall, the cleanliness, communication, and breakfast experience all fell below expectations.

We had a great view of the ocean and pretty basic room. Hotel is tired looking. We somehow accidentally booked the room twice and they didnt cancel the extra booking. Said they would refund one night of it but didnt. The tv had a parental control set up so we couldnt watch all the channels but owner didnt know why or how to fix it. Laundry worked well, need quarters though. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was convenient. It was off season and not very full. Not fancy, but not horrible.

This felt like a hotel in the medium place. Toilet paper was rough and you had to reach at a very weird angle to get it. The jacuzzi tub leaked. The bed was very firm. The shower dispenser was off the wall and laying in the bathtub. The pool had to be unlocked during open hours, the hot tub tepid and the closest ice machine was off. But: it was Ocean Shores in February and the price was okay. Some friendly employees and one who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else.

Honestly I stayed here because the breakfast and how nice the place looked in the pictures. We were very let down and disappointed and will not be staying at this place anymore. It wasn't a resort in any stretch of the word. The parking was terrible. So narrow around the rooms that we had to park out front so our car wouldn't get hit by other cars and insure we could get the car out without incident.The towels were painful and very scratchy, not dried completely. We had a 3 day stay and had to ask each day for toilet paper and towels. The sliding door to the delapatated balconys lock was broken and my husband cut his finger trying to lock the door. There were no movie channels. The Continental breakfast was very lacking and extremely minimal, with tip jars and don't waste food signs every where, as if we didn't already pay for this service. We tried it the first morning and never went back, having to then buy breakfast for the last 3 wake ups. The water pressure, no matter how you changed the shower head was so painful we showered only once for a three day stay, because the hot water took forever and once you got in you had to rush due to painful pressure. The owners were arguing in the hall all morning on our second day which was very off putting. Food smells, not breakfast foods smells, permiated the elevator and halls. We went for a 3 night stay to get away and relax and it was anything but. The hotel, resort was not a good experience. We won't be back and left at 5am on our last day eager to leave. We had debated leaving early but we paid in advance and they held an extra 100$ when we got there. They should have paid us to stay.

We had several issues: we could not get hot water easily without running the faucets for 5 minutes. Some of us avoided showers. The main issue however was bedbugs. One of our group woke up with bites on the final morning.

The room was too hot because the heat was left on when we arrived. Asked for an extra chair for the table ( there was only one. Asked to have the adjoining room door deadbolt for security from our side. Ice maker near the pool was out of order.
The housekeeper did a great job of advocating for us and we really appreciated her help. Everything was taken care of when we asked.

Our room was next to door that led to outside was very noisy people coming in and out, slamming the door. Pillows are too hard ,toilet was leaking leaving water on the bathroom floor. The towels are so cheap and thin. The bathroom vent does not work leaves the bathroom wet. Will not stay here again. It’s really not paradise.

There was a breakfast, but for us we were unable to partake in it. It was breads and pastry items which were items that I couldn't partake. It would have been nice to have items that were not bread or pastry.

No sugar free sweetener for coffee. There was only one working ice machine all the way down in the lobby, and we are on the third floor.

The room was terrible. The balcony door didn't fully close or lock, and the shower had no pressure with a broken head, forcing us to take baths. The sink was broken, and the wall sockets were hanging. It was a horrible hotel experience and a total waste of money; I will never stay there again. Not to mention, they tried to put three adults in a room with a single bed when the reservation was for 2 beds and a fold-out.

We were charged for our stay through you when I reserved the room and then charged $100. for a deposit and charged AGAIN for our stay when we checked in leaving our card frozen and us unable to continue our anniversary trip. We are not only upset that our plans were cut short due to NO fault of ours but the money we NEVER should have been charged is in question of being returned not to mention the refund for the night we paid for and didn't get to stay. The disappointing breakfast didn't help matters.

It's alright. Big place, long hallways. Lots of seemingly vacant rooms.

It has a nice trail to the Beach.

No continental breakfast offered.

Seems like it's mostly bring your own everything.

I wish the balcony lights weren't left on all night, and had an on/off switch in each room. The bright light kinda drowns out the view of the night sky over the ocean, the stars, planets, and possible UFO sightings! ;)
