This review is not a reflection on management, but an honest reciew for people considering a stay here. While the location is close to the Trevi Fountain, in reality Rome is so walkable that most hotels will be near food and shops. It is extremely busy and noisy. Our room was the first floor and the door comes straight off the stairs. We could hear every door slam and person walking the stairs so loudly. Everything echoes in the building. There was a room above us and that was also loud, we could hear tlevery footstep they took. Be aware the the rooms don't have shampoo or conditioner, so be sure to bring your own. During our stay there was construction happening so we woke to jack hammers at 7:30 am. There is no staff on site. We did have a problem with the internet (someone in another room unplugged the server.) We contacted staff and my husband went and fixed the issue.

The room had everything we needed and was in a great location, super easy to get everywhere in the city. The only drawback is it can be very noisy at nighttime as it is so central and the windows don’t block the noise. Would be worth having earplugs. Would come back!!

Everything was fine for what was as a guest house not a hote, although shampoo and conditioner would be nice.to have available. Very convenient location butva stwady stre a m ofvpeople passed by going to the Trevi Fountain. They use whatsapp to communicate. Its a place to stay thats not for everyone. This place is one minute away from Trevi Fountain and 15 minutes from Colosseum. From a location stand point it’s the best. The room is very clean. The reason for 3 stars is there is no elevator in this building. I was told that this building is more than 1000 years old. Our room was in the 2nd floor (European count) and the stairs were renovated up to the first floor but the second floor stairs, I think are the older ones and are very steep. The building manager did help getting the luggage upstairs but we had to bring it down when checking out. The water was pooling in the shower. This place is best for younger and fitter people with less luggage.

The location is a stone's throw from Trevi Fountain, one of THE busiest area in Rome. However, the room was incredibly quiet. Service was wonderful and the stylish room offered a much welcomed relief from the hustle and bustle right outside.

We did very much enjoy our stay here and the location was perfect. Our only complaint is that if you’re on one of the lower floors it’s very loud. The outside noise was not an issue but you can hear everyone else walking around above you and the main door was so loud that it would wake us up when people would come in and out. This isn’t really any fault of the hotel as it’s more due to the building being older, but it is something to keep in mind if you cannot handle noise!

As a woman traveling alone, I felt super safe and comfortable at this suite and in the surrounding areas. Trevi fountain is less than a block away and so I always felt safe coming back to my suite since there were always people around.
Closing the window blocked out any street sounds, I was never woken up from noise outside despite it being in a busier area. Great experience.

This is the place to stay as it is right next to the Trevi Fountain and centrally located. Room is quiet even with the amount of crowd just outside your front door. You can walk to any of the major areas in 10-15 minutes max, most less, and St Peters Square in 20-25. Restaurants are everywhere with a constant stream of people present. There is a major shopping street just to the north of the area.
The only draw back, which wasn’t to us, is the two sets of stairs are steep so if you have mobility issues this would not be the hotel for you.

This was a very difficult stay. No where in the information does it state there is no lift or manager on site. We arrived after our room was to be available and were told it would be at least 45-minutes before the manager could arrive. We had ton leave our luggage in the hallway downstairs (unprotected) until the time we could go to our room. The stairs were very challenging as I have 8-fused disks in my spine and 3-fused disks in my neck. My friend also haws back issues and it should have been disclosed there is no lift available. At first the manager suggested she would help us 'take our things out of our luggage and transport them upstairs'.....which was not acceptable to us. After we kept indicating we wanted a refund and were going to leave, she got a fellow (I believe off the street) and together they brought our luggage up the stairs. On the day we left, my friend and I somehow got our luggage haphazardly down the stairs. The manager was pleasant and tried to make the best of a difficult situation. We understand she is most likely 'just the middle-man' and was doing as good of a job as she could. A person with any more of a medical condition than myself could never have stayed in this establishment.

This is literally a few steps away from the Trevi Fountain and very close to the Colosseum so a very convenient location. The manager was very accommodating as she let us enter early so that we could rest (were up all night on the flight). It is the middle of a lot of action but it felt safe. When staying at Piccolo Trevi, you are getting the perfect location. This is my third time to go to Rome, but the first time that I did not use the Metro. I was able to easily walk everywhere, and being able to see the Trevi Fountain multiple times a day is great. The room is literally 1 block from the fountain, and there are many restaurants and cafes to visit. When you go to your room to relax, you are safe and secure behind multiple doors, and the room is very quiet even in the middle of the day. You are selecting a location which is perfect. The room is comfortable, sizable, and great bathroom. Feels like you are living in Rome.

Literally steps from Trevi fountain, a little cafe for breakfast and a lovely restaurant for dinner and drinks! We could have stayed within a ten step radius of our room and had a wonderful time! That being said, almost all of the main attractions in Rome are within walking distance. What a GEM this little place is!

Was a little difficult to find as there was no signage. The listing mentioned no elevator, which was ok without luggage. Trying to carry your luggage up the steep steps was hard.

We had a great stay at Piccolo Trevi. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful! It is close to many sites, so we were able to walk, and it is right around the corner from Trevi Fountain. It was a little bit noisy at night due to the location, but that is because you are in the mix of it all. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

quick visit to Rome for the weekend. I had two large bags and the stairs were steep to get my heavy bags up to the room. Room was very nice and plenty of room. Remote control for the Window A/C, but I didn't see it behind the curtains, so had to search why A/C wasn't turning on. Room is situated overlooking a very busy street, so evening noise from the crowds could be bad (A/C helped drown this out), but perfect location 1 block from Trevi Fountain and all the wonderful restaurants close by.

Great location and the owners and staff are wonderful, helpful, and so accommodating. Our flights were delayed and our luggage was lost, so we had to keep them updated on arrival. They are not a typical American hotel with guest services. It’s more like an airbnb. The room was lovely and modern. There are lots of steps (rooms are on the 3rd floor—they call it two). People with mobility issues may not be able to manage the steps. We would stay there again.

The building was beautiful and iconic for a wonderful stay in Roma. The room is beautiful and very clean. It overlooks the hustle and bustle of the busy city but upon closure of the window it is quiet and restful. It is very close to the Trevi Fountains and lots of eateries. We will not forget our stay. This is not a hotel. It is a guest house. People live in parts of the building, while other rooms are rented to guests. As such, there is no front desk. Our room was on the third floor, walk-up only on some steep stairs. This is not a complaint, but I include this info for people with mobility issues.
The on-site manager greeted us warmly and was delightful for our entire stay. Our room was modern and comfortable, despite being in a 600-year-old building. We were just one short block away from the Trevi Fountain. Multiple restaurants within one block.

Perfect location a block from Trevi Fountain, very clean room and spacious for being right in the city. Easy check in and check out and good communication throughout. Location was great. The room was large, but was not ready & cleaned at the time of check-in (1:00 pm). There was also an issue with the toilet. Check-in & check-out process is challenging. You must text their staff with your exact arrival time since there is no full-time staffing at the reception. During our visit, they did not change our towels or clean the room, despite staying 3 nights. The room safe is preset to an exact combination (which was not disclosed to us during check-in). As a result, our passports were locked in the safe & since no one is at the reception desk, no one could quickly assist us. Overall the hotel offers good value based on the location and price, but needs to address the staffing issues.

Best location starts to Trevi Foubtain
Fantastic location within walking distance to any of the sites you would want to see in Rome. The room we stayed in was on the third floor (we are young and active so we were ok with stairs). As many have mentioned, the windows are well insulated so little noise from the throngs of tourists and vendors below. We felt safe. The room was spacious. Livia and her team are quick to respond and communicate. I would not hesitate to book again and I hope to return in the next couple of years.
