We loved our stay here. The staff are welcoming, thoughtful and happy to help. Room was clean comfortable with a lovely balcony and drying rack. The pool area is where we spend most of our time. The pool is perfect for cooling off and where you can watch mountain goats climb the cliffs, and where cretan vultures soar.

The local town is wonderful - full of shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to beaches but its up a steep hill - and be sure to know which beach to head to as some are more party than others

My only issue was the cleanliness of the room, it was really dirty, it was so bad that we actually couldn’t stay at property and had to book alternative accommodation. To be fair to hotel, I did not raise the issues of cleanliness of room just raised concerns that cleaner constantly left bins at door to room.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Koutouloufari. Rooms are spacious with everything you could possiby need during your holiday, plus a bottle of wine to welcome you. The pool area isn’t huge but very pretty and never so busy you can’t find a seat or sunbed. So many brilliant places to eat and drink on the area. Perfect holiday destination.

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Koutouloufari Village Holiday Club. The apartment was fantastic, the pool area was lovely and quiet and the location was amazing - there are so many great restaurants all within walking distance. Staff were attentive, friendly and couldn’t do more for you, the whole place completely exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was great, I’d recommend including this on booking as it’s expensive to pay daily. Can’t wait to come back, thank you!

Quiet and peaceful but in the heart of the village. A perfect place to stay where you can relax by the pool or explore further a field.

All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, happy to go that extra mile to make our stay perfect.

The stairs to the rooms can be challenging if you aren't use to them; however once there the views are worth it.

Our room was cleaned regularly and the gardens and common area kept clean and tidy.

Thank you KVHC for a wonderful stay, I'm sure we will be back.

The perfect find!

Would absolutely recommend this beautiful boutique style village and also stay here again ourselves! We arrived close to midnight, completely exhausted but the staff were brilliant, letting the kids sit with them while we parked the car, giving them each a drink and then helping us lug our bags to our very clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable room. The food we had was excellent, the staff super friendly and helpful and we loved the pool area. Late check out wasn't possible but we were able to store our bags, use the pool for the day and given space to have showers and freshen up before leaving for our flight. Stellar service. Village location is lovely, in the thick of things but still quiet. Public parking is available a short walk away if the hotel car park is full and there are loads of bar, restaurant and quaint shopping options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. You can walk down to the beach (might want to taxi back up!) or it is a short drive away. Very easy to access the airport and tourist sites by car once you know your way up and down the hill. If driving, use the street address to locate the hotel on GPS rather than GPS coordinates or you will find yourselves going round in circles trying to find the front entrance!! Thanks KVHC team, we had a brilliant stay :-).

This is a gem in a beautiful village! Walking around the streets is like taking a trip to the past. The construction is rustic adobe with a hint of modern. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. They have a kitchenette which is convenient for a family. The pool area is beautiful and peaceful. They have bar service so you can enjoy and relax. There are plenty and delicious restaurants, bakeries and cafes around. The staff is very friendly, and they are always there to help you if you need information or transportation. I'm looking forward to coming back and explore more of Crete!

The whole thing was fantastic from beginning to end. The staff were super helpful, the accommodation clean and of an excellent standard and the facilities great. It was right in the heart of Koutouloufari itself which is a great wee holiday village without being uber touristy. Can't rate it enough.

A special shout goes to Vassilus who helped us out of a difficult spot on the day of departure - me having locked my suitcase in my room! He was there in minutes and the day was saved.

Overall, I’m happy with the stay we had at KVHC. The property is cute and comfortable and the apartments are very roomy and have everything you may need. The staff is incredible, helpful and very friendly. The village this hotel is in is quaint and welcoming.
However, the internet on the property is abysmal. We barely had a signal in our room and when you manage to log in, you only stay logged in for as long as your phone is not locked. Once your phone locks, you have to log back in. The room service could be improved as they only clean and change the towels every three days. They do take out the trash every day. Also, the pool only works until six.
I’m also torn about the location of the hotel. While the fact that it’s so far from the beach and town - and also about a kilometer and a half uphill from both - means that it’s quiet and relaxing and you have incredible views you are very far from the beach and everything in the village is twice as expensive as it is in town. In addition, the beaches in town are very bad - the water is full of seaweed, the waves are huge, and the sunbeds, which are packed on the beaches like sardines, cost at least 10 euro for the pair. Herssonissos is also very touristy.
I do have to say that my aunt did die midway through this vacation, which may be coloring my general experience.

Adorable hotel in a magical little village

Magical little traditional Greek village nestled on a hill in the base of a mountain with beautiful sea views. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of the action of this adorable village and close to many beaches. There were so many great little restaurants, bars coffee shops, stores, mini golf and markets that are all in their beautifully preserved village look.
All I could think of when we arrived at night with all the restaurant lights on, it’s like living in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. The village is mostly visited by UK tourists, so everything is available in English. The bars even have all live sports for those homebody husbands that hate to travel. The hotel is very clean, modern inside, but the outside is traditional to the theme of the village. The apartments have all the comforts of home and we’re spacious with living areas, kitchenettes, dinning table, beach umbrella and private bedrooms. We rented two units Apt# one had a wrap around terrace with sea views and all the street activity. This villa had its living area upstairs but the bathroom was downstairs with a very winding steep stairway. the other villa had a hidden private patio, but all on the first floor for us older folks. Loved the staff, wood work throughout the hotel, cute gardens and refreshing pool. We had breakfast daily in the pool terrace and it was good. Manos made our stay wonderful by welcoming us and helped us find the hidden free hotel parking lot.

Everything about this place is good! From the initial welcome to leaving we were treated like welcome guests. Manos and Enni were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was well kitted out with everything needed. Cutlery and chinaware in abundance as well as a microwave, kettle and cooker. The living area had a decent tv although more UK channels would be nice. There are 2 aircons, one for the bedroom and another for the living area. The hotel has a lovely pool and bar area which also does light meals and snacks. The hotel is ideally placed for the surrounding eating places. Above all the complex is ideally layed out and is very quiet. Perfect!

Great apartments, great staff in middle of village

This is our 5th visit here, the place is just lovely, good work out as all uphill, but then get good views from apartments! Next time would probably request the apartment we wanted, the only thing that is a bit off putting is the extremely firm mattresses, with a painful hip they are too hard, but the rest of the place is extremely clean, gardens well looked after and very pretty to look at.

Our apartment at Koutouloufari Village was the nicest holiday apartment I have ever stayed in.
We went the week after Easter not realising that Greek Easter was a week later so it was not quite the start of the season. This meant we had the complex almost to ourselves and there wasn’t much open in the Village at the beginning of the week. However, the sheer bliss and relaxation of being able to sit on our huge private terrace with a wonderful view of Hersonnissos and the sea below and the mountains behind, listening to the birdsong and the occasional church bell was one on those holiday memories we will hang onto.
The apartment is very well equipped and would have slept four. It has stone floors and isn’t the usual featureless box you generally find. The terrace is tiled in red and is big enough for a party! There is a choice of whether to eat in the main living room or out on the terrace.
There are lots of steps in the resort but the Manager was very helpful with the cases and getting us settled. The fact that is built on the side of a hill means that every apartment has a view and it gives a quirky feel to the place. Cleaners came in alternate days and changed all the linen and towels.
Watch out for the friendly local felines if you decide to leave your windows open.
The Village is absolutely charming and there are numerous restaurants nearby, unfortunately only just starting to open by the end of our week. However there was more in Hersonnissos itself.

lovely apartments in perfect location

We arrived at about 11pm and was greeted by Manos the very friendly manager. The apartment we were allocated was outstanding with a comfortable king size bed and an extremely large balcony which was ideal to sit and enjoy eating breakfast in the morning and then a nice cold drink in the early evening.!
Even though our apartment was quite high within the complex therefore resulting in a number of steps this didn't cause a problem.
The Koutouloufari Village Holiday Club, not only has very friendly staff but, is positioned in the centre of the lovely village of Koutouloufari so ideal for the many excellent tavernas and restaurants here and adjoining villages of Piskopiano and Old Hessonisses.

We had a one bedroom apartment which consisted of a separate bedroom with double bed and two single sofa beds in the lounge area, basically the sofa base is the mattress. Nice and clean apartment with modern furnishings and fairly well equipped kitchenette consisting of oven,hob and under counter fridge with freezer compartment.
Small patio area outside and a nice pool on site with pool bar for food and drinks.
All apartments and studios are built on a hillside and each one has a different setting so some will have a patio with a nice view whilst others won't. If you are fit and able then ask for one nearer the top of the hill as they have the best views. Even so it's only around 60 to 70 steps to the upper levels of the site with flat areas in between.
A great location in the middle of a lovely village with lots of bars and tavernas. A laid back resort and not full of your typical bits abroad type bars, although if you want this you can go about 1km down the hill into Hersonissos town where there is a beach and all the usual gift shops and bars.
You can also walk into the neighbouring villages of Piskopiano and Old Hersonissos which are also nice but we preferred Koutouloufari.
The staff at these apartments are lovely and will do anything to help. There is also a free hotel car park for which you need to get a swipe card from reception, it's down a very steep hill opposite the hotel.
All in all I throughly recommend this place if you're looking for good clean accommodation

The best accommodation and the best value

We stay here every year and have had opportunities to stay in other resorts but none offer the combination of service, atmosphere and location that we enjoy here. We are always warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. You truly want for nothing here. Great shopping and a variety of traditional and upscale restaurants as well as points of interest are all within walking distance, and less than 5 minutes drive to the some of the loveliest beaches on the island. Highly recommended for couples or families.

The location is superb from the restaurant/ bar consideration. In our two week stay we tried 13 different restaurants all of which were good or very good.

Villaggio delizioso al centro del paese. Una piccola oasi in stile mediterraneo piena di dettagli carini , di angoli fioriti, di terrazze arredate con gusto. Camera comoda letto comodi, Angolo cottura con dotazioni basiche. Viaggiavo con mia figlia, La prima camera che ci avevano assegnato era bruttina, senza spazio esterno e sacrificata con un bagno minuscolo. La dovrebbero offrire a metà prezzo...ma quando ho chiesto di cambiare Maria si è subito data da fare. La mattina seguente ci ha spostato in una camera più spaziosa con bagno grande un bel soggiorno e camera grande . La piscina è molto carina dotata di pool bar, lettini ombrelloni e bellissimi materassi in stile mediterraneo con ombra. consiglio di regolamentare l'utilizzo dei lettini (non sufficienti per tutti) . Solo una volta sono riuscita ad averne uno. La sera c'è sempre qualcosa di carino, la proiezione di un film nella lobby bar, concerto di musica locale ...ma tutto molto discreto. La reception è operativa, mi hanno aiutato per alcune cose come per il noleggio dell'auto, escursioni, taxi ecc. . L'unica cosa spiacevole è che non sia previsto nessun tipo di trasporto verso le spiagge che sono abbastanza lontane. l'autobus non arriva a koutouloufari e bisogna scendere a Hersonissos. In ultimo non ci hanno mai fatto la pulizia della camera. Ma in generale siamo state benissimo.

Die Unterkunft ist schön vom Design und Interieur unser Zimmer war auch ganz hübsch mit einem Wohn und Essbereich inkl. kleiner Küche, ein Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Das Badezimmer könnte mal geupgradet werden, aber das sind nur Kleinigkeiten. Was wirklich hier hervorsticht ist die wunderbare Lage, denn die Umgebung ist ein Traum mit vielen guten Lokalen, sowie Cafés etc.
Zum Strand braucht man etwas oder am besten nimmt man sich ein Taxi oder Bus (Mietwagen).

Heerlijk verblijf.

Dit is het leukste plekje midden in het dorp. Had een ruime kamer met groot balkon en aparte slaapkamer. Het leek uit de rotsen gehouwen en was top. Af en toe wat van die kleine mieren dus niet kruimelen en dan nergens last van. Badkamer niet groot en douche in het bad, maar prima. Ontbijt was super, aan tafel een.dienblad vol geserveerd en lekker bakkie cappuccino.
Lekkere ligbedden bij het zwembad wat op zichzelf niet heel groot is, maar om even af te koelen en paar slagen te zwemmen goed genoeg. Veel restaurants en barretjes in de buurt en niet tever van Chersonissos, maar wel heuvel af en weer op.

Liebevoll im Detail! Unglaublich nettes und entspanntes Personal, sehr angenehm, bester Service.. Der Pool und Bar/Lounge Bereich wunderbar einladend. Die Speisekarte gut, das Essen lecker. Wir können tatsächlich nur gutes berichten. Die Hotelanlage bezaubernd griechisch und sehr geschmackvoll. Das Hotel liegt in mitten des kleinen griechischen Dörfchens Koutouloufari, mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bars und Restaurants, oberhalb des mehr belebten Städtchens Hersonissos. Wir hatten uns ein Auto gemietet, dafür gab es auch unkompliziert einen Parkplatz ganz in der Nähe. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung, wir hatten 10 wunderbare Urlaubstage hier.

Gutes Hotel in einer schönen Ortschaft. Viele tolle Restaurants. Das Hotel selber ist gut mit Verbesserungspotential.
Tolles Frühstück, aber Service generell nicht so toll. Hotelanlage nicht gerade Kinderwagen tauglich, da es viele Treppen hat. Zu zweit kann man den Kinderwagen hochheben.
Einigen Punkte sollte den Gästen beim Check-In oder schon vorher mit geteilt werden - Sauna / Whirlpool nicht verfügbar. Reinigung nur alle 3 Tage, Abfallentsorgung im Zimmer nur alle 2 Tage.
Waschmaschine /Tumbler für 10 EUR pro Maschine verfügbar. Die Waschmaschine ist nicht wirklich sauber und Tumbler hat leider nicht richtig funktioniert. Hatte man uns dann auf Nachfrage nach 40 min probieren mitgeteilt.

Koutouloufari Village - En pärla på Kreta.

Platsen utstrålar harmoni och lugn, rent och fint, med god service. Byn med restauranger och shopping direkt utanför dörren. Det enda vi saknade var kanske lite mer köksutrustning för egen matlagning.

Got a room upgrade, so we had huge terrace with a beautiful view of the sea.

Idealny pobyt! Obsługa bardzo miła i dyskretna zarazem, pokój z pięknym widokiem. Na miejscu możliwość skorzystania z pralni, co było dla mnie ważne. Cena niska ze względu na pobyt poza sezonem (pierwsza połowa kwietnia). Generalnie pobyt jak w 5-gwiazdkowym hotelu

L’hôtel en soit est correct malgré quelques soucis, wifi qui bug, eau qui remonte par la sdb, tout était fermé resto, magasin etc et personne n’a prévenu.. nous avions l’impression d’être dans une ville fantôme ça faisait peur.. tout est loin, très loin, le gérant nous conseil un taxi hors de prix afin qu’il se prenne une commission dessus..
vraiment en hors saison à ne pas recommander, nous ne savons pas ce que ça donne en Juillet Août, mais pour le reste aller ailleurs… aucune activité est conseillée ou proposée, vraiment mis à part le lieu qui est mignon et le logement correct nous n’avons rien fait des vacances tout était fermés ou / et en travaux…
De plus on nous a soit disant « sur classé » en nous mettant dans un autre logement mais bon je pense que celui d’origine aurait été mieux…

Sehr freundliches Personal, super sauber und schöne Lage in dem sehr schönen Dorf. Große Sonnenterrasse. Die Küche ist ordentlich ausgestattet, ein paar Schüsseln wären noch gut. Da wir im März da waren, war das sehr schöne Dorf Koutouloufari noch im Winterschlaf und wir konnten die toll aussehenden Restaurants, Bars und Cafés leider nicht genießen. Beste Reisezeit wohl April/Mai oder September.

Mooie accommodatie. Goede roomservice. Vriendelijk personeel. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn is het minder geschikt. Veel trappen lopen.

Отличный отель в Греческом стиле. Все новое, чистое, отличная кухня с новой техникой и всем необходимым. Очень красивая территория с садом. Очень тихо. До центра 15 минут пешком с горы. Но в самой деревушке есть все необходимое много ресторанов, магазинчиков.
